Throwing a Bowl on the Pottery Wheel

Welcome back! Has been a while since our last upload, but better late than never. Here's a video of throwing a large bowl.
Its quite an enjoyable and relaxing process. First the clay needs to be centered before opening a hole and shaping. Once the bowl is in its final shape it is left to dry until "leather hard". At this stage it is firm but no longer sticky. A foot is trimmed and the overall piece is cleaned up. Then it will be left to fully dry before it undergoes two firings. After the second (glaze) firing, the bowl wiIl be ready and functional!

What type of clay do you use? This is amazing.

Just a regular fine stoneware. The supplier is Walker Ceramics and it's called 10 stoneware.
