Am I a real booktuber now? 😂 I ended up buying a lot of books this week and so I though the booktuber thing to do would be to share all of them with you guys! Did you guys find any awesome books out in the wild?

The flower is a bird of paradise….because it looks like a bird. It’s a tropical flower.
"Fingerspeak" reminded me of a book I read earlier in the year called Winter's Myths by Gage Greenwood which follows a man and his daughters as they try to survive in a strange and wild landscape. One of the skills they employ is communicating using a simplified sign language that involves a lot of tapping of fingers and touching the thumb to certain parts of the hand. It was interesting concept that wasn't explained very well but it was fun to think about nonetheless. I hope the language feels a little more fleshed out in Spidertouch once you get to it!
That's really cool sounding! 🤔 If I like Spidertouch enough I'll see if I can find Winters Myth anywhere! Thanks for the rec!
Yay on baby cam. I haven't read any of your books, and I'm looking forward to your reviews. I like seeing inside the book stores.
It was my first attempt at book store stuff! But I'll make sure to show off some of the cool shops around AZ! 😀
“Im not even supposed to be buying books right now” we all know how that feels lololol
I haven’t read any of these! Excited to see what you think of them in future vids
Thanks! 🙏
I love seeing a book hail with a reasonable number of books! I'm guilty of buying way too many.
Thanks! 😀
We all are guilty of buying too many books! The book buying addiction is real. 🤣🤣
Ben, there is no such thing as "buying way too many".
Computerize your books.... by Title and by Author. In 50 years I've collected 2900 books. I try to read as many as I can. Many libraries have periodic book sales. These are not "junk" books but fairly recent titles. I witness a feeding frenzy at these sales. Barnes and Nobels is for all of you who must mainline the most recent titles. (I have Premium registry.)
Incredible!! I definitely need to make a spreadsheet for my books! ❤️
This made me miss Half Price Books so much. I'd give anything to have one here in NYC. The closest thing we have is Book Off.
There is no Half Priced in NYC? That's crazy! 😨 I hope you get more shops like it soon! 🙏
Nice haul!
Thank you! 🤣
Love the baby cam 🤣
Baby strollers are the best camera holders 🤣
Reading hyperion currently with my spouse. It's an experience.
👀 Hopefully a good one!
@@GrahamMatthewsReviews overall yes! I'm roughly halfway through, but I'd recommend it
Austin and I went to book off on your recommendation! It was a blast..... So much good manga!
Yay!! Did you end up finding the Spy Family you were missing?
lol nope.... they had literally every other one! Oh well.... We'll find it eventually@@GrahamMatthewsReviews
Hi, awesome thrift book finds.👌 Spidertouch by Alex Thomson sounds very interesting. I've put it in my TBR list. 😊
We used to have GoodWill in Canada until 2016. We still have Value Village though, and I think that one started in California.😊
I also want to read "The Coward" as I read "The Judas Blossom" by Stephen Aryan when it came out in July 2023 and fell in love with it. The second book of that series is coming out in July 2024 and I can't wait to get it. lol ☺ My review for "The Judas Blossom" was in with my August wrap up and it's one of my early Videos. Not very good.🙃
I'll have to go back and watch it just to see the review!! 😀
I hope Spidertouch is good I just really.like the cover. So yes I technically am judging it by it's cover lol! 🤣
I'm gonna have to see if we have a Value Village in AZ! Are there any Canadian only thrift stores?
Thanks for the support on watching my old videos. It was one of my first so it might not be very good. Not that what put out now it better. lol
We have Value Village where there is books, clothes and other stuff people donate and they sell second hand. We also have BMV book stores in Toronto (where I live). BMV is a chain of second hand book stores. They are a bit more pricey, but they tend to buy most of my books when I bring it back to them. They also sell CDs, DVDs, and board games. :)
If you enjoy "Spidertouch" you might try "Embassytown" from China Miéville, my favorite author 💚
Thanks for the Book Rec! I'll check them out!
Are you planning to attend Phoenix Fan Fusion in May? They typically have great Books & Authors programming.
To be honest I always forget about it until it's to late 😅 so your reminder is super helpful! I'm gonna look it up and plan a day with the family to actually go this year! 😀 So thank you! 🙏
@@GrahamMatthewsReviews Yeah no problem. I'll be there on panels and such, so stop and say hi if you see me.
@@RyanDaltonWrites Sounds Good! Thanks for reaching out!
