Столкнулся с проблемой вывести звук от Самсунг тв на колонки, выход только оптический. Воспользовался такой "примочкой". Телевизор покупал весной 2019 года. Поначалу звук с оптического выхода был хорошим, только при просмотре каналов, как аналоговых, так и цифровых, при выходе же в интернет или просмотре Смарт тв вместо звука шёл скрип и шум. Но с некоторых пор, видимо после автоматического обновления программного обеспечения тв, звук стал нормальным, как при просмотре каналов, так и при просмотре фильмов в приложениях смарт тв. Попробовал подключить наушники, то же звук приемлем. Так что Спасибо китайским друзьям!

About this off of Amazon all I get is interference chopping sound so this one's probably a dud I have a couple different ones coming so if it doesn't work then I don't know what to tell you but I would save your money and buy something better

IMPortant - Guys pls also attached micro usb to power adapter for power to this device incase your tv does not give enough power thru just the optical cable. Device need power you can see red light indicator glowing and after that the device will work.

If you haven't yet, you should get into your TV's audio settings and choose PCM (uncompressed) for the audio output format. If you hear bad sound or distorted is probably because you're have your TV audio output set to "automatic" or any other compressed format.

Depending on the box you buy. If you buy the cheap box it's likely going to be 2.1. I have seen some more expensive boxes that boasts up to 7.1. I really hated having to buy one of these because Xbox series x does not have optical like the previous Xbox one x and my gaming monitor also doesn't have optical only auxiliary headphone jack. My Samsung Soundbar only does optical or auxiliary so instead of buying a new TV or Soundbar with arc I opted to buy this since my Soundbar is 2.1. I haven't used it yet because I just ordered it so I couldn't confirm the audio conversion from the headphones analog. I've read up and seen plenty of videos showing it works.

Plug in RCA cables to my speakers??? Total nonsense. RCA is high impedance audio signal connector. Needs to be amplified before going to speakers. Please, enough confusion.
