I guess that's true. But I mean it seemed pretty evident he barely cared for the hotel staff anyways and the only time he did care was only because he was mad Luigi was progressing so quickly rather than worrying about the ghosts themselves.
But I suppose he figured having voluntary aid is better than doing all the work himself and would've had the best chances of succeeding.

To answer your question on why luigi doesn't jump with the poltergust, I'm pretty sure it's not because it's too heavy. Luigi is about as strong as mario, who can already kick heavy castles with no effort. Plus, luigi can jump higher than mario, and mario can jump perfectly fine while carrying fludd, who I'm positive weights just as much as the poltergust. I'm pretty sure luigi can't jump in luigi's mansion because he's too scared to. Think about it, mario is braver than his brother and he takes challenges head on without much thought. Meanwhile, luigi is incredibly cautious, and the thought of a ghost getting him terrifies him so much that he forgets how to jump. I mean, that's exactly what happens in superstar saga. And just because you conquer your fears once, doesn't mean you'll stop being afraid forever.
The second time the bros go to Gloomy Woods in Paper Jam, Luigi can jump while being scared, character development!... Right? Or is it only cuz Starlow mentioned his year?

14:50 Maybe Gooigi did that one on purpose. After all, spiky objects don't hurt him and his gooey body would likely keep the nail from moving around too much. The fact the ghost looks shocked might just be because it doesn't know Gooigi isn't harmed by sharp objects.
LM: Is a short but amazing game making Luigi the star of his own game
LM2: Was decent enough but wasn't as good as the original
LM3: Has amazing visuals cutscenes and gameplay which can be played anywhere
I can't believe some of yall actually think LM2 is better than LM3, first of all the graphics are much worse, and second of all the bosses were absolute garbage. All the main bosses were just the same possessor ghosts with 0 personality possessing objects. At least the boss ghosts that possess objects in LM3 have a personality like in LM1.
Well since everyone is arguing might as well throw in my two cents. Luigi's Mansion 2 has an ugly art style for the 3DS's resolution and what was brought over from it to 3's HD environment is vastly improved. The ghost wrangling was greatly nerfed trading in vaccuum riding or slams for press the button to get more suction implying that Luigi does less of work and it is easier and requires less of him (and by extension the player). The boss ghosts do have more personality beyond being influenced by what they are posessing. The plot structure and set up I find much more entertaining, we don't even know Mario is missing until late game. The mission structure of the other games is more flexible and isn't heavily segmented and forcibly made me retrudge ground off the beaten path multiple times like in 2. There are mission locked collectables in 2. Honestly the only stuff I like in 2 were brought over and improved in 3 while also bringing back some things I loved about the original.

@@se.224 if I remember correctly, the time machine's first venture got ut trashed beyond repair, and the paradox that it creates makes all the time holes that Mario and Luigi actually use to travel through time. So, E. Gadd probably figured using it to actually change the past in any significant way is waaay too dangerous. But I guess something relatively small like training Gooigi is ok? Iunno

The thing is the time machine in partners in time was powered by the cobalt star, how did he use time travel with it? Another thing is Mario & Luigi canonical to Luigi’s Mansion and thus the mainline Mario’s? Because if Mario & Luigi is canon Paper Mario is also canon because of the storybook. But back to the mainpoint Mario & Luigi would’ve have to been canon to have a somewhat explainable reason for E Gadd’s time travel.

Also he overlooks the fact that everything he went through somehow fits into the hotel...like for instance a massive garden, a museum, a giant sand pit WITH A GIANT PYRAMID and on top of all that a *FREAKING OCEAN!* How did you miss that?!
