    • @mattgiantmusic
      @mattgiantmusic Před 2 lety +2

      The envelope is for each note but most importantly it has ADSR. You can also add an LFO to the cutoff to change it over time, every beat, 2 beats etc. Or faster then 1 beat. I do have a synth where you can loop an ADSR that becomes a LFO.

    For the verracocha sound, sounds really descent in serum but... Will never ever have the thiknes or analogue sound of the JP 8000 imo.

      JP80x0 is a digital synth.

      @@darude I know but it has a thiknes that a vst synth never can have

      @@frederikjacob1985 Nah, simply untrue. A virtual analog synth IS pretty much a VST hidden inside a hardware case and working within a very purpose-built computer. If Roland wanted, they could easily make a VST version that would sound identical (as they have made many; Roland Cloud), but “better” without the onboard digital to analog and sound card analog to digital conversion needed using the hardware unit. Maybe you like the noise floor generated by the hardware box, but I could do without it. Maybe also the aliasing present in some of that era VA synths can be thought of charming and part of the sound, but with more knowledge and better coding these days that can be avoided and/or implemented as option, so the VST user could choose to use it or not.
      Also, even without Roland Cloud JP-80x0 you can re-create that synth pad sound with U-He Diva’s digital synth part and I swear nobody can tell the difference, or if like 1% can, it’s not the “thickness”, but just that the emulation thru the whole oscillator-filter & modulation chain is not 100.00% accurate. Trust me, I used the 8080 for several years and I still have it and I’ve listened to both in isolation and in the mix for countless hours.

    Not sure how useful this is. After watching you can recreate these overused sounds that are in most ways worse than the original anyway.
    Does that make you a better producer? I don't think so.
