One interesting innovation Souviet aviation used during the Battle of Kursk was PTAB - Anti-Tank Aviation Bomb. It was very small bomb, of only 2,5kg in weight, which used cumulative charge to penetrate the armor from above. IL-2 could take as much as 4 containers of 48 PTABs each, they were also used by bombers and fighters. PTABs were dropped massively and covered quite large area; hitting a tank with one bomb was usually sufficient to take it out. By the end of the war over 14 millons of PTABs were produced.

Because unlike the Germans who recorded losses as in the vehicle completely wiped out of existence, the Soviet just put down any damaged machines as a loss, then they repaired it and put it back in action, then if it get damaged again they would consider it as another loss.

It was turned at Stalingrad. Most historians put that battle as the turning point of WW2.

@@sclice8680 The tide turned when Germany ran out of leather and had to stop giving its soldiers jackboots, replacing them with ankle boots and gaiters.
On that subject, isn't it weird that movies only portrayed Germans wearing the 1940 uniform, even until the fall of Berlin. Like, by '44 they were already using a short breast coat similar to the Eisenhower jacket. I just thought it was odd.

@@Foreign0817 That was just one of the many factors that guaranteed imminent defeat after the tide has already been turned at Stalingrad. The city was one of the most strategic and morally important locations in the war where nearly 150,000 to 250,000 Germans died in that battle alone and many more captured.

I been playing battlefield 5 alot recently and I miss that they didnt include the russian front at all. It was a major part of ww2, its like not including the burma campaign or better yet the battle of Britain
