Elvis could take a song, make you forget the original by giving it a new and fresh sound. The 👑 rules!
Elvis makes every cover his own. ❤
Another brilliant rendition by the King.... beautiful. On my daily Elvis playlist 💯⚡❤️
Yes, Elvis definitely stole my heart away, Seph❤💕
It’s a Banger❤❤
The bee gees are the original . Elvis dose a great cover . Elvis wasn't happy with his version on stage but you'll see the most fantastic version when he sings it on rehearsal in 1970 .
Elvis that's the way it is, is a movie of the las Vegas shows this song is in that movie live and rehearsal versions along with many other great songs and behind the scenes footage I can't wait for you to do a reaction to it along with elvis on tour, wich is a film of elvis mid 70s around the us tour again with behind the scenes
Oh Seph ,you can see Elvis singing this song in his rehearals for Vegas ,it's pretty good to watch
Nothing is copied by elvis its covered thats the difference, and the colnel was a genius less is more thats the reason people's from the globe came to see the greatest entertainer as its seems elvis was a myth,68comevack filmes mega sucess aloha from Hawaii mega sucess,on ya seph elvis is the GOAT
❤👑👑👑👑👑❤️
Yes, it’s a Bee Gees song.
Seph this song has a video, and it has high image and audio quality. And if you look, you'll also find videos of the music rehearsals for the show. It was a movie for the cinema in 1970....
Beautiful cover. BeeGees never charged anyone for singing their songs. They loved listening to other artists singing their songs.
He never tried to be better or similar! He was just being Elvis. What else we needed? Nothing!❤❤❤
Andy gibb the bee gees younger brother was the guy who announced Micheal jackson as the winner of the awards in 1980
BeeGees being erased by Elvis....
Elvis his version is so much better than the BeeGees version
You actually can see him perform Words live in Las Vegas 1970 yes it was filmed and you can also watch the studio rehearsal video aswell. You really ought to make a double reaction of the both filmed versions above, start with the studio rehearsal.
There is a live version from 1970, from the same salt mine I mentioned before. quality not the best but it's brilliant.
An Elvis favorite for sure. The melody reminds me very much of a classical song that I cannot put my finger on. Love it. Elvis is fantastic singing this.
Love this song by Elvis - it's amongst my favourites at the moment - there is film of him singing this but it is from That's The Way It Is from 1970, there is definitely rehearsal footage but not sure if there is film of him singing live on stage 👑⚡⭐
The most charismatic singer entertainer and humanitarian ever ! No one today can match his brilliance 💕 There is a live wonderful performance of Elvis singing "Words" ...Thanks
My mom played this one alot 🥰 The Elvis always puts his touch on a song and then us❣❣❣
I wonder how many hearts he stole with just Words. From a third generation Elvis fan thank you for keeping Elvis alive
Elvis always sounds so manly and magical at the same time.
Fantastic version from ELVIS! Yes, a banger!
Steph there is a live version of the 1970 circuit Vegas performance of this song.
U will see this in the that's the way it is rehearsal tapes u still have to watch
Yessss BeeGees It came out in 1968 They performed it on The Ed Sullivan Show too! I LOVE This Song By Elvis!!!!!! Funny, My 28 Year old LOVES The BeeGee's !!!!! and ME OF COURSE ITS ALL THE WAY ELVIS!!!!!! THAT'S THE IMPERIALS AND THE SWEET INSPIRATIONS BACKING ELVIS UP!!!!!! THE REHEARSAL WITH THIS ON TTWII IS FANTASTIC!!!!! THANKS SWEET SEPH
Here is the live version video of him singing Words - czcams.com/video/wwwplStgzp4/video.html I know you like watching him on stage and this will not disappoint you, Seph!
There's a great live rehearsal for WORDS with the Sweet Inspirations. So, no live reactions? This is definitely a BANGER ❤
Very difficult task to sort out these songs. He's doing 1969, I think the rehearsal version, which I think is 1970?, is even better. I don't know if he'll do that one too.
Beautiful love it Elvis live sooo good banger 💕
'The Elvis', effortlessly covering a Bee Gees original. ❤️
Great reaction, Seph. I saw him sing this live in 1970 and you could tell he liked the song and the arrangement he gave it. A BANGER!!❤❤❤
Stop making us jealous! 1970! IMO he was at his peak both vocally and visually.🤣🤣How you survived that I don't know - cuz for sure if I had seen him live in 1970 - that would have been my funeral day. My epitaph: On this day she died a happy woman, she saw Elvis live, and died right there in her chair.
When Elvis would sing this song I totally forgot that The Bee Gees were the ones that wrote and performed it first.
Elvis’ version almost makes you forget how great the BeeGees version was! Back then, everyone (whether in concert or on a tv variety show) did the top hits of the day. It may have been Elvis, Sinatra, Andy Williams, Steve Lawrence, or any big star - they all sang the top 40 Hit-parade songs.
Absolutely beautiful rendition of "Words" by Elvis! A lot of singers cover popular songs but they tend to copy the same version, whereas Elvis was an original, he recreated the song to be his own. I absolutely love the incredibly talented Bee Gees Seph, so there will be NO comparisons from where I sit. Thanks for another entertaining reaction Seph 👍😄❤️
A great song sung to perfection, by a great singer, and easily a double banger. You are quite correct Seph, and many reactors echo your sentiments in that he puts his unique spin on his performances.
Boyzon also did a version of this
I love singing this one it brings tears to your eyes
You should see the rehearsal of this song, he is with the "Sweets". And talked to them a lot. It is in Vegas 1970. What fun his rehearsals are he laughs a lot. You'd love seeing the casual Elvis, and of course he looks Gorgeous. Thanks
elvis was incredible live on stage, especially the first years from 1968 on
Enjoy your reactions, check out this other version of Elvis singing Words with video. czcams.com/video/wwwplStgzp4/video.html
Love, love, love this song! Had no clue it was a Bee Gees song! He is so amazing at making songs his own.❤
Sometimes seeing Elvis perform can distract from how good he sings. This was my experience here. I first heard this song with this version before I ever was aware the Bee Gees first released it. I heard it in 1977 the night he died when all the radio stations in the U.S. played Elvis all day and night. What an impression. In addition to James's guitar I thought the Sweet Inspirations added a soulful, mystical quality. I respect the Bee Gees but Elvis blew their version out of the water.
Fire 🔥🔥🔥
Ohhh another one I love today!! He did an amazing job on this Bee Gees song. (Love The Bee Gees too- grew up with their disco hits). There’s a great video clip of Elvis rehearsing this song with his group of musicians!! And of course a live clip in Vegas too. A must see!! ❤
Bee Gees wrote and recorded it.
Andy Gibb, Bee Gees younger brother performed it live also for Ronald Reagan. He's wearing a black tuxedo. It's amazing how much he looks and sounds like Barry.
Welcome to his live recordings. He sounds freakn ANAZING LIVE TOO!! 👊😉🍻
It could have been on the 1969 live Album from Las Vegas I know he often sang sang it in Vegas.🤷🏼♀️
"Down in Louisiana" is a reference to the next song in his live set, its the opening lyrics to "Polk Salad Annie"!
Words was written by Barry Gibb in 1968. Beautiful ballad. EP of course put his "Elvis" stamp on it, and it sounds great. I really like his version a lot. Nice reaction too Seph.
Bee Gees wrote it and recorded it.
Thank you Kathie :D
Seph you could have seen it. The performance is right here on CZcams Elvis Presley Words Las Vegas 1970. I don't know how you do it, I would never put this in a C. I'm so in love with Elvis that all his songs would be an A or S lol. Well, with some exceptions especially from his movies. However, it's not just that he is beautiful but I love his songs and arrangements.
Hmm, interesting. I know this song from Take That's version.
Edit: Actually Boyzone did it, my mistake.
*Take that* done it?
@@SephPlays No, my mistake. Actually Boyzone did it. Good version if you want to give it a try.
This song is a 1968 Bee Gees song written by all 3 brothers that was to be Barry Gibb's signature song in concerts.
As a Bee gees fan i have to say (i know this will not go well with Elvis fans) that this version is way too rushed for me. It seems to me that Elvis at some points in the song let the words stumble over eachother. If you on the other hand listen to The Bee Gees original version, it is quite slower and their live versions are even slower. This is done on purpose to let Barry interact with the audience during the song, especially in the end where the last line in sung without instruments. A good example is from the 1997 live recording from the One Night Only concert in Las Vegas, unfortunately many of the clips on youtube has cut out the last line. Here is a a link to the complete performance: czcams.com/video/XeY00dvu1_0/video.html
Boyzone aslo did a version and The Bee Gees and Boyzone performed it live together on the show "Bee Gees Live with an Audience" from 1998.
Just forgot to mention, possibly the best cover of this song is done by their own brother Andy Gibb. He sings itexactly as it was intended and even slower than Barry. Check it out.

It is a bit scary how much he looks and sound like Barry in this clip.
Hey, Seph. How's it goin'? Thanks for two Elvis reactions today! There are actually a couple live performances of this song (Aug. 10th & 12th, 1970) that are available to watch as well as a couple 1970 rehearsals. "That's the Way It Is" (a musical documentary) was filmed in August of 1970 so you can treat yourself to quite a few live performances if you wish.
I hope you haven't forgotten about the '68 Comeback Special. You've heard the studio versions of most of the songs, but I'm positive you haven't heard "Tigerman", and it's a great live performance.
Don't worryyyyy I already planned that song and a couple of others that was also in the 68 special for a future video. Already talked to my list guy about this awhile back haha
Hey Kathi 👋 I'm already on it! I provided Seph with links in my comment 😀👍 Hopefully he sees them and will set them aside for future reactions 😉
@@sammy_the_uncool2702 We can always count on you, Sammy. You're the best!
@@kathifielder1110 Thank you so much Kathi 💖 I will always be thankful to you for being so kind and welcoming to me 🌹💜🙏💕
I really, really hope Seph reacts to the rehearsal links I provided 😀🙏
Wishing you & yours a great rest of your Friday & a very lovely weekend 💖🌈💖🙏💕
@SephPlays Yay!! Another must-see is Are You Lonesome Tonight? (Black Leather Sit-Down Show #2). The charisma is off the charts in this one.
Total honesty: I could not tell you which live version this is since the first known live rendition was on August 24, 1970 (Midnight Show).
Thanks to Leon however I have two links with regards to this song as performed by Elvis.

Edit: First Live Rendition Known Of "Words" by Elvis August 24, 1969 Las Vegas- OOPS!
Typos... Stupid son of a brick typos... Arrrgghh... 😒
@@belinda35_77 Hey Miss Belinda 🍃 🙋
I have to give all the versions a listen to draw my own conclusion on which version is the best.
The only live version I ever listened to was the 1970 one. I personally like it when Elvis does the vocal riffs in the middle of a song.
The one Seph reacted to is somewhat different.
Elvis was silent during the chorus part and the guitar riff solo (James Burton) on the one Seph reacted to.
So now I have to listen to ALL the versions... Poor Pitiful me right?
Oh no... I got to listen to more Elvis... Oh well... A lady's gotta do what a lady's gotta do 😂😂😂
Hope you are well Miss Belinda🍃💙🙏💕
I noticed that you had done some Cliff Richard stuff. I was just watching a concert of his on tv. If you skip to 1hr 45mins you will see him sing
czcams.com/video/oo_x_hgYeX0/video.htmlsi=kB2gm5dX2CVLafU7
Please bear in mind when he performs this he is 78 years old.
Not to react to, just for your enjoyment.
Who are the Bee Gees (Barry Gibb)?! 😂And sorry, but Barry sang it sooo much better with his smooth, velvety, warm voice and full of emotons bc its his signature song and dedicated to his wife Linda!
Good song. Not great. Top 300-350.
