It really is sad that Xbox One X version is Unplayable. I finished all the planets and it started moving slow. Then eventually it just crashed all of the time. Now i just look at the game tile in my games and say to myself, i want to love you but you wont let me. It is sad..
Legit I don't even use teathers cause the games so badly ported stops the crashes not the lag. In the same boat got almost all planets but just lag 24/7

I really want them to keep improving the gameplay on Xbox. I’m not complaining because I still play it but it lags A LOT, especially when my friends join my game, it lags so much it’s impossible to play, multiplayer has so much potential - if it works well. I hope they keep improving the game and decreasing the lag...

If your falling from a high height at a certain point (pushing forward the hole time) you don't take fall damage anyway. Unless you hit a wall because you start to fall forward faster than down.

I am so excited for this update because I have been trying to join my friends astroneer save but after about ten minutes of loading trying to get into his game, I would be kicked out. Now, it finally works! Best patch ever!
I think the next patch will be the best to date - performance and multiplayer fixes. :)
Does anyone have a bug where when you try to power the big purple it doesn’t give you the odd stone even if the animation is finished
For the tutorial, I had the issue with the small printer. I placed it down, it gave a prompt to interact, but it would only pick the printer up, it wouldn't open the interface. I had to make second one and everything worked fine. But this was my absolute first experience and it wasn't a very good experience on top of the lack of information about hotkeys in the tutorial ("place a tether" should include a hotkey for informational purposes, that's the reason for tutorials).
For the thruster into the oxygenator slot, it's not a matter of being creative. For someone who brand new to the game and hasn't figured out how the snap points work in the game yet (because at this point in the tutorial/game you haven't been exposed to it yet), the only location that appears to be usable is the oxygenator. The camera angle doesn't let you see there's a snap point on the bottom of the shuttle. When I went to place the thruster, it immediately snapped to the slot where the oxygenator would go. Since it's a tutorial, and those are known for being extremely hand-holdy, it's not out of the ordinary to assume the tutorial is saying "this is where it does", even if it doesn't make sense. This is not a mark against the players, this is a mark against the devs not polishing their tutorial. And having played more tutorials throughout my life than I'll ever be count, I can say this is by far the worst I've ever experienced. And I've seen some that are pretty bad. The game is great, but the tutorial sucks big time.

I lost all my customized items in this update I had suits skins and dances and lost all of them and I don’t understand why they took out the platforms leading to the core. Now there’s nothing there leading to a free fall into the core with no way back.
They should at the same time buff scrap and get more per. Feels like maybe it's not worth using that system anymore.

You can turn soil into scrap. I usually spin up some resin, make medium storages and toss them in the shredder. Still hoping someone might make a video on the most efficient way to turn common resources into scrap though. ;)

They still haven't fixed the issue of not being able to tow 3 large rovers as trailers.
Since you seem to have their ear, how about fixing the drill while attached to the front of a vehicle. Why don't they allow us to use the Q and E key to adjust depth? That would make sense instead of having to adjust the camera.

This game is so BAD on XBOX ONE X. My game crashes when my base is big or if I moved terrain. I can’t even beat the game because it crashes every time the final cutscene / credits starts. It sucks, I love the game too

I personally was surprised the scrap glitch lasted as long as it did. On the other hand, if System Era wanted to add a "super easy" mode, having nodes that slowly produce resin and compound, having the "smelter bug" and having the "scrap glitch" would be one way to go...
Yeah, I suggested game modes early on, but they didn't bite. They did have nodes back in pre-alpha that worked exactly as you describe.
Can I just revert to an earlier version, get scrap, then return to an later version?

If you don't have auto update on, you can stay in ether 1.0.7 (or 1.08 if you are on xbox/windows 10) to grind up scrap then updating.
What was the scrap glitch?
@@Sprud_ - If you shredded a small battery or two, you could then click on it and it would return to your backpack enormous size, then shrink as it was 'eaten' by the shredder to a teeny tiny icon, barely visible... but was still there. Subsequent re-grinding of the battery(ies - you could do two at a time for twice the speed and scrap) produced 2 scrap per battery application. Put two small batteries on the shredder, pull them off, put them back on again, and your 4 scrap doubles to 8, pull them off, etc. Z1 Gaming has a video where he put a shredder on a large rover and made a train of large rovers with large storages holding medium storages being filled in just a few minutes using one battery. Powered with an RTG, wow.
Remember the cheat code in Civilisation ? .. If only they would leave it in for choice ..
My save was corrupted it crashes the app when i try to open ip the save. Its frustrating when you have so much time into it. Anyone know if its fixable? Iv tried to rename the file in the saves folder but it doesn’t help.

I never used it that much, but a lot of people are missing it.
Just get Lithium from Vesania, craft them into batteries, scrap them and get materials. Since Lithium comes in such abundance on Vesania, I hardly have any problem just trading scrap for resources without exploiting the glitch

Chemistry lap broken wail making a nano-carbon alloy so I loss out on one RTG best game ever😓
I love this game but I gave up on it cause my last 3 games I was shot into the sky and died while underground. The patch they have to fix this is not good enough for me to continue playing at the moment. Even if you get little damage when you fall, you could be so far away from oxygen that you die anyway.
Very frustrating, and I think they just band-aided it for now - no more damage.
@@OneLastMidnight - I'm going to wait a few months until they completely fix this particular issue. I've moved to Medieval Engineers for now as they've had a massive update. I'll still be watching ALL your videos though.
While I admit that's not a lot I had 427 scrap saved up I'll have to use it for emergencies or save it for emergencies I mean oh and the RTG it gives you 4 scrap don't waste your time trip testing it you'll just waste an RTG

The trade off for functional crane for removing the scrap glitch is great. I felt so bad about using the scrap exploit that I started a new game and got my RTG and portable oxygenator the manly way.
For me... The scrap glitch was a way to stage videos quickly. Now it's back to mining to stage my videos. :(

One Last Midnight do the tethers really make that much of a difference? I think it’s more that the game renders literally everything you’ve made at all times, even when you’re on a different planet. Such nonsense. And it’s so poorly optimized that we’re using a single CPU core in CO-OP
