  • So, I wrote this article for Lotus Eaters back in January - lotuseaters.co... - and recorded the audio for it too... Then, out of nowhere, like an absolute boss, a chap called Jack Steel, without being asked, made a wicked video from scratch to accompany it. What a Chad. Thanks Jack! I bloody love it. Well done. I really appreciate the time and effort you must have put into it... Hope you guys out there enjoy it too.
    Please feel free to debate or debunk my theory in the comments. Despite the sensationalist title to this video, it IS only my personal theory.

    In 1993, the PBS series "Frontline" broadcast a documentary about Oswald and the JFK assassination called "Who Was Lee Harvey Oswald?" It doesn't really address the various conspiracy theories that have centered on the JFK murder, but it does present a thorough and compelling portrait of Oswald and his role in the JFK assassination.

    I have been convinced that Oswald did it, there has been sufficient explanation for how. The magic bullet can be explained by Kennedy sitting slightly higher that the front passenger, the back and to the left is explained by the exit wound, Oswald was a trained sharpshooter and could easily make the shot, Oswald killed a cop the same day.
    That being said, Oswald had been in the CIA’s sights for a long time as he tried to defect to the soviets. It’s Definitely possible he was a “useful idiot” for the CIA, who they then removed with their own assassination.

    • @HistoryBro
      @HistoryBro  Před rokem +4

      I take your point about the 'jump seats' in the Lincoln, and the whole magic bullet thing. It is totally possible to make Kennedy's and Connally's wounds line up in a straight line. Granted.
      But it SEEMS more than three shots were fired. And that's without getting into the saga about whether Kennedy's headshot was from the front or the back.
      Also, Oswald didn't have the power to alter the route of the motorcade. Oswald couldn't have insured the 'bubble' was taken off the Lincoln and ordered that the secret service weren't doing their job of close protection properly that day. Oswald couldn't have had any power over the driver who slowed to a crawl. Oswald didn't have the ability to pack and manipulate the Warren Commission in extremely specific ways in order to omit lots of evidence; from beyond the grave. Oswald couldn't have made the establishment keep vital details about the killing secret for sixty years. Oswald was, in my opinion, exactly what he himself said he was: a patsy.
      Oswald is an extremely strange figure. A bundle of contradictions. He had the finger prints of intelligence all over him. He was almost certainly involved with the intelligence services in some odd way. Perhaps even he was ONE of the shooters, or a spotter; but he simply could not have orchestrated everything that needed to fall into place that day, and over the subsequent decades. In my opinion, there are too many questions left unanswered if we go with the lone gunman theory.
      The killing of Officer Tippit is just one more bizarre and enigmatic event to throw on top of the pile.

    • @Torgo1001
      @Torgo1001 Před rokem +1

      @@HistoryBro Maybe it was analogous to the earlier assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary. The Black Hand (a Serbian military intelligence secret society that was also staunchly anti-Austrian) was discovered to be involved with Bosnia Serb nationalist Gavrilo Princip shooting Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Princip and his comrades didn't have official sanction by the Serbian government but they had training and support by elements of The Black Hand. You could have a case of Oswald as the lone gunman with rogue elements of the CIA and the Deep State simply using him as a disposable "patsy," in Oswald's term. The Deep State set the stage for the assassination and Oswald made his appearance right on cue.

    • @MasonRoyce
      @MasonRoyce Před rokem +1

    There was a [ I think ] BBC documentary in the 90's that played on the History Channel, repeatedly for a yr or more - Mafia paid some shooters out of Marseille France, they were flown in, did the deed, exited via Mexico IIRC the last bit. Whatever the case, based on the wounds and bullet travel there had to be multiple shooters

    The part where Kennedy holds his chest leans forward and Jacqueline comforts him, that was the first shot. Maybe it was just a little heartburn? Then his head explodes and instinct gets Jackie out of there fast.

    • @Torgo1001
      @Torgo1001 Před rokem +2

      Kennedy suffered from a back injury and often wore a heavy back brace to help with the pain. After the first shot, he tried to lean forward to take cover but the brace prevented him from bending over fully. Some have speculated that had JFK not been wearing a back brace at Dealey Plaza, then he might have been able to take cover and thwart the assassination.

How much of what happened during that roughly decade long period from JFK's assassination until the resignation of Richard Nixon was already baked into the cake so to speak, and would have occurred anyway, regardless of who was in office?

You mentioned all of the usual suspect that conspiracy theorist mention (without any evidence) while downplaying known facts about Oswald that are inconvenient to those evidence-free conspiracy theories. That’s enough. I’m not going on. IMO, the only interesting fact for a possible greater conspiracy is that the USGOV still has unreleased files related to the assignation. I doubt though if the USGOV was partially or fully behind the killing, that they kept around the evidence.
