Agreed, I have a '22 my car and the dealer is really good. I, personally, think that we could manage without a lot of the tech that we're being forced to pay for that I, for one, will seldom if ever use. Really annoying having to fight the steering when the car decides I'm not exactly in the centre of my lane.

Skoda have come a long way since the days of the bad corny jokes made about them. I would go as far as to say they are surpassing the parent companies products in style qualiyy and interrior finishes. The car featured looked amazing inside but i am not sure abut the exterior colour. Yet another great professional review Tish.

For a good advert for a car it's sometimes worth checking out what taxi drivers use along with the police. Skoda was a go to brand for both since the 2000's with the Octavia being a prime purchase with the cooking vRS model used by the rozzers. This new Kodiaq looks great and must be right up there in the equipment, practicality and price. It uses the same underpinnings as the rest of the VW group with some little clever touches to the car as well. I agree that the D pillar colour looks a bit odd, in black or body colour it would look better in my opinion but it wouldn't be a deal killer. This new model has a hard act to follow as the MK1 car was already a well proven car. Personally I'll hold off and see what the all new Karoq turns out like and maybe the new Enyaq electric. Many thanks Tish for sharing a great overview of a very interesting car.

Liking the new spec inserts. Shame no 4x4 petrol but I guess that is vrs but it would be nice to have a non sporty trim. I would skip the fresh cow pat yellow but like the tan leather. Did you try the cooled front seats? Big tick for load cover under boot floor too few do this. I think the only thing it really misses is an option for a cargo net behind the front seats to max out those 2k litres. Looking forward to your UK Superb review.

I think it’s been pretty essential on these new models with lots of choice! Hahahah cow pat yellow is quite accurate, that’s my fave so far. This option with the cognac "leather" (I presume that is not real leather) is quite nice ... and I know more about that ... from my experience of (amateur) car designer ... with my first car (an old Dacia 1310 given by my father when I started my lawyer career ). In order to make it to become my car ... I gave it a new exterior paint (from a dusty-grey to a metallic blue ... which was a blue-purple by accident ... but I liked it even more) + a few elements of a refresh version (more modern spoilers, new front lighs s.o.). And ... at interior ... I changed the seats ... making a deal with a local specialist in seats covers ... giving to him the old seats + money ... in order to make light-beige "leather" covers for a pair of front seats from an Audi 100 ... & a rear bench from an Audi Quatro (Recaro profiled).
The final transformation of the car was stunning ... the feeling of luxury was high & persistent ... and my Dacia was the only of its kind that people stop walking and stare at it - through the windows ... like in "foreign cars". 😃
He he ... a guy from a car-wash once said ... after he finished to wash & polish it : " - Finally Dacia has got it right". Just to amuse me ... I didn't contradict him ... 🤭 Well ... actually, that car - under "my design input" 😃- had a level of poshness ... that Dacia brand hasn't ( even now ... 23 years later ) ... 😏

As a long-time Octavia owner, I am a bit worried that Skoda are abandoning their traditional customers. I know that the world doesn't stand still but the Kodiaq seems to have so many features that I would never use but for which I suppose I would be paying. My car is nearly 15 years old and has never had a problem; I want to be confident that my car can go 500 miles to my holiday destination without problems rather than worrying about how many cup holders or USB ports it has.

So other than the price what do you think there is to criticise about this car, it is just a really well rounded product. I will always be honest about the vehicles that I’m reviewing. This just happens to be a very positive one because of how positive the changes are. One thing I will say is I didn’t look too much into the pricing whilst filming the video, it was only after that, I realised it’s a very expensive car and this is a considerable negative for me.

The back seats will never be used and the driver will be lucky to be able to see the front of the bonnet, let alone the road and other traffic. "Premium SUV" nearly all need to be completely banned or taxed off the road as they are a disaster area waiting to happen.
