Very cool NITRO RC Truck bro 💥👍💥🤝💥 it’s really an improved Savage believe it or not!! I would so prefer this Hobao over the savage and I’m a guy that had many savages threw out the years . My cousin Freddy got this same MT last year from Ray at Track Day Hobbies and that’s when I was so close on getting the Hobao Hyper 7 Truggy version so I can run my Modified engines with back plates and use BumpBox to start them!! That pull start system is very cool man it’s not like the same power robbing systems we know of there different. Still nothing beats a sealed back plate but that type of pull start was well thought out ! Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈🎊 Chris 💥🍻🤝 I’m not the first but I am the 3rd thumbs up 👍 ANY ?’s

They advertise it as an electric but they also have a Nitro version that I have been thinking about getting and hooking it up changing some things for the past 2 years now but I’m going to wait for the TLR X Truggy . If Horizon Hobbies can not get an agreement or a contract going with TLR on coming out with a new Truggy like an X version of there new Buggy that was just released? I will have to go elsewhere for my Modified Nitros .
This truck was always available from Hobao, OFNA was the US distributor. OFNA was kind of like Redcat they didn't actually make any cars they just rebadged cars from Hobao and Hong Nor mainly.

I notice you have a Losi 8ight T (which I also have)...how would you compare it against that, and/or the stock Savage? I found one for an incredible price, but the downside is it comes with an LRP 30 spec II (I'd prefer the Hobao engine, as I will be porting it myself and believe the Hobao is a 3-port). Thank again, and I'll check out your other vids but pretty sure I'm going to get this.
Nitro RCNerds I would say 1000% get it. As far as being durable I would have to say yes. Like I said I broke that output cup on the center Drive but I’m pretty sure that was a manufacturing defect. For the amount of abuse I put this truck through it takes it in stride. I launched it off a 20 foot mound of dirt multiple times. The only casualty was the output cup on the wheel side. Because when you launch the truck you launch it blindly and you can’t see what it’s doing in the air. So unfortunately it landed under full power and it broke to drive cup. The truck handles TopSpeed incredibly well. The stock .30 engine makes amazing power for the truck. As far as being compared to the 8ight I can’t really compare durability because the monster truck Will generally end up breaking first because there’s more weight involved. There are a couple little small things that aggravate me about the truck. For one the truck suffers from bump steer. Being just a basher it’s totally acceptable and it doesn’t affect handling in anyway. As far as getting parts for it I have not found it difficult to get any parts for the truck. I had a savage 25 and I still do I can say with complete honesty that this truck is better than the savage as far as handling goes. So in conclusion I would definitely say get the truck you will not be disappointed. 👍👍👍👍👍

It also looks like I can share some Savage parts...so yeah. I'm 95% sure this is what I will get next. So appreciate folks such as yourself putting it out there as it does influence my decision. Thx

Parts availability became exceedingly difficult. As far as getting the savage or this that is really a question I can’t answer cause I have never owned a savage 4.6. The savage is never really a truck that I’ve gotten into I’ve always been more of the LST-based truck guy. Now with HPI back if I had to make a suggestion for someone looking to buy one I would with them in the direction of the HPI. I will tell you that I got so frustrated with this truck I sold it and I no longer have this truck.
