Personally, I like adding Moon Mirror Shield instead of Phoenix Blade just to ensure that Legendary Swordsman's effect goes off and it can be added back to the top of your deck if needed
I don't remember when Yugi himself used this, if ever, but seeing Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning in the GX anime was AWESOME (even if used by a Net Deck Duelist - I'm looking at you, Dmitri!)
Yugi used it during Duelist Kingdom in the finals against Mai to pull out a last minute win.
@@hardyhardyha5767 that one I knew. It was the non-Ritual monster version I was referring to. I can't remember when Yugi himself banished a light and a dark monster to summon the Envoy of the Beginning - the only time I remember it being summoned was by Dimitri in GX

Seriously though, thanks - yeah I didn't think it was ever in the DM anime. The Ritual Monster, most definitely, no fewer than on two occasions (vs Mai, and vs The Big Five towards the end of Season 1)
@thetruedaoster8863 He appeared in couple more episodes. One where he was in an video game when fusing with Kaiba's Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon to beat the Five Thousand Dragon and the other one where teams up with Kaiba again and does it exactly the same when dueling Dartz.

While I'm certainly no expert, I have messed around with BLS in Master Duel for a while now. A few things I've found:
- We don't have Pheonix Blade in Master Duel, but I like Power of the Guardians to get some continued use out of Gateway to Chaos and protect my boss monsters somewhat
- I like to run a single Gaia monster for the interactions with various BLS cards, and my preferred one is Arisen Gaia. He can be a good way to get the full effect of your Link BLS, he can come out to defend if Super Soldier gets killed, he has tons of other interplay too
- I have started running Effect Veiler alongside Arisen Gaia, because it is already very useful as a handtrap but the two can also be used for Super Soldier Synthesis if needed. Alternatively, Winged Kuriboh for nostalgia.
- a 2 star tuner like Plaguespreader Zombie, Shinobi Necro, Core of Chaos, or TG Striker makes it easy to summon Muddy Mudragon for a very efficient Master of Chaos package.
- 2 star tuners also work with the Bystials to make 8 star Synchros like Chaos Ruler, or with BLS to make 10 star Synchros like Baronne.
- Foolish Burial is quite useful to set up SS Synthesis, SS Soul, the mini knights, etc
- running a single copy of Advanced Ritual Art and a single Blue Eyes White Dragon is a fun alternative way to summon out Legendary Swordsman
- I sometimes run a single copy of Envoy of Chaos because he has BLS support and can also double banish the mini knights in the absence of Pheonix Blade
- if main deck space is tight, running 1/1/1 of each of the forms of BLS you mention here and only 2 SS Synthesis is doable, if you know how to use your search tools properly

i think i over thought this deck...as is right now your Build is Vary meta, that's telling you how much support there is for bls.
we really need the last brother to be Printed for both the ritual sets and the chaos set's. but also i would like just some straight up bls support that makes it get the rituals and chaos ones out more. i would really hope they but on those restrictions so it can be nice and a bit broken for this archetype.
I love your videos and all but it's getting to the point where you have aa-zeus, accesscode talker, apollousa, mekk-knight crusading, and the knightmares in every deck. Why do I even need to make more then one deck if the end board is the same?😂😂😂😂😂

Dark Blade is a great monster, I have the Fusion of him and Pitch-Dark Dragon in Ultimate Rare. Fun deck profile, DaD.

I tried running the Bystial package in Master Duel, but i had much better consistency with a more complete chaos package (e.g. Chaos Witch, Chaos Mirage Dragon, Chaos Phantasm (trap), Chaos Ruler, etc.).
My reasoning is that most chaos cards have graveyard effects as well as effects activated from banishing them.
The only thing I'm wondering about is the best ratio.
I believe that your reasoning makes sense, the chaos cards also work well with BLS too so I think using the chaos cards make for a fine alternative to using the Bystial package.

Hey all! Somewhat of a noob here and wanted some clarification on something mentioned in this video - He states that Time Thief Redoer can step into Zeus, how exactly is this done? Zeus' requirement of "2 lvl 12 monsters" is throwing me off. I couldn't find any explanation of this online. Can someone please explain?
Time Thief Redoer is an XYZ monster that's Xyz-summoned.
Divine Arsenal AA Zeus says that it can be summoned if an Xyz monster was summoned already this turn. Without that "unclassified-type effect" you'd need two level 12's as materials.
Also I think it always uses 1 Xyz as materials.

Got a challenge for you if you can pull it off.
I'm a big spellcaster fan, mainly dark magician. One of my favorite non-Dark magician spellcaster is Command magician and during the 5ds era the arcanite magician. If you can make a deck profile out of them 2 rather if it's different decks, I would greatly appreciate it. With at least one rule and that's not actually using dark magician support.
My challenge is to see a deck profile without bystials
