So in case the Normies didn’t know, the unaired test pilot for the Boondocks dropped sometime last month after two decades, and judging from that and looking back on the first scene of this episode, I am about 95% sure Huey was the one who broke the TV. In the pilot, you can see he’s a bit prone to throw objects out of anger….otherwise he wouldn’t have tried to help Riley apologize 🤣💀

Hey Chris! The type of weed makes a HUGE difference. If you wanna try weed again, try indica; personally, sativa makes me incredibly paranoid and unhappy.
It saddens me to see how many people write off cannabis when they just need a small dose of indica, a few different times and then they'd probably love it. This was a great episode considering how grounded it was, even with outlandish judge. Also I’m not for prohibition but selling in public places like arenas and malls does feel a bit problematic. But I’ve had problems and confrontations with assholes smelling up the bathroom and smelling terrible where I work. Also recreational use isn’t legal but that never stopped anyone.

Am I off base. Boondocks is basically a slice of life right? In anime terms. Slice of life fans clown on shonen fans for shonen being all action no plot and not deep enough. True or not. Shonen fans sometimes find slice of life marandering and boring and not as funny as Slice of life fans say. But I find boondocks way funnier than most slice of life anime people hype up each season. And it has political commentary so it’s not just all action ( has that too). Maybe it’s the language barrier for jokes like not getting puns. Like I can laugh at one piece (shonen) for gag cartoon antics or fools coolly but we laugh at boondocks from written jokes and delivery. Just a thought 💭.
I’ve never heard of slice of life fans harping on shonen. Slice of life is basically just a normal drama/comedy. But i believe the genre is more defined as slow and meaningful. Some shonen have little to no substance but most do. Those people who harp on other genre are usually close minded and never actually watched a full series of said genre or found a good series they’d enjoy from that genre. As an avid fan of both good writing and tv is good tv no matter the genre.

So I hate people crapping on slice of life or shonen etc. I just find that shonen gets cut so fast in magazines that we really are getting the not too generic ones or at least generic with good execution. Slice of life we usually have many fans that suss through the weaker ones and the good ones come to the top. I think they also get the benefit of doubt that they will take time to get into and people don't drop them just cause oh the cast is like another show in ep 1, or the series has a similar trope to another series (I see these hot takes for a lot of shonen and people's reasons to drop it after 2 eps) But to each their own right, opinions XD. But yeah plenty of deep shonen and ones that don't wanna be, just like slice of life that's just there to enjoy and relax and some that's deep. No need to stick nose up at either. your right.

It still depends on the area though. I live in Sacramento County in California. Tons of people don't use weed or are even against it. But people will talk about cali like everyone is enlightened about weed and hip to it. Nah.
There's an increased risk for heart attack or stroke with weed, so this episode presents to opposite of what would happen.
Also, when touting the health benefits of weed, people seem to forget that smoking is bad for your respiratory health. A lot of people will make a joint with random paper they find laying around. When that paper burns, you're inhaling it and all of the chemicals it contains into your lungs. It's probably not a concern if you only smoke every once in a while, but it's something to think about if you are a regular smoker.
