Ebony originally referred to a specific kind of hard dark brown/black wood material. People the. Started using it to refer to other things of that color, but it’s like how words like orange was a fruit before a color. Similarly, Ebony is the wood material, and uses as color are meant to reference that wood material.

RE: The Restroom Attendant. Back in the day higher tier clubs had these employees situated in a parlor room separated from the actual restroom. The parlor consisted of the items shown plus there was a couch with a matching Accent chair. Don't know if these kinds of luxuries are still available today since I no long frequent clubs. Bathroom attendants used to be a job older black men and women used to get exclusively, and I was raised ((I'm 57) to give them a tip, because they were probably struggling without the fulltime job they used to have, and this was their supplement money. Ebony and Ivory is sung by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder and as fun as it would be I don't think they were singing about an intimate relationship. Piano keys were at one point made of ebony wood for the black keys and ivory for the white keys, hence the name. Just about any kind of interracial relationship.

Because that is kind of the point of Ruckus, he is this show's version of cartman, essentially One of the worst human beings you could meet. You can find him funny, and they do laugh at the ridiculous nature of the things he say. But the character also has the purpose of invoking groaning, cringing, or face palming because of the ideals he touts and the people he is parodying.
Because that's how they're written and nowadays they're not so exaggerated nor fictional

Ma'am it's not that serious. It's literally a name. I know two women named Ebony. Theirs a magazine named Ebony. Ebony and ivory is a wildly popular song. It's pretty much everything BUT what she's trying to make it. It has nothing to do with objectification or even sexuality for that matter 😂
None of them were saying that the term is inherently negative or sexual. But that the term has become synonymous with sexualization and or objectification. This is why Navi made a comparison to the term "Desi" as well. Another word that from her own culture is not inherently negative, but currently has become synonymous with sexualization of a group of people.
