Her husband is acting like he’s one of her children. Then he brought the daughter in to triangulate the situation. He’s resistant to counseling because he thinks the counselor will tell him to grown up. So, he brought out a teenager to say “ Daddy isn’t the problem “. That’s the response I’d expect from a child about the “ fun “ parent. Not only is the husband acting like a child, spending money without agreement, teaching the children to be irresponsible, putting his wife in position to fix everything, he also makes promises and never communicates things have changed. So his wife is frustrated that she can’t rely on him at all. Sometimes this people are not seen or heard on this show. I see why she wants a divorce. She doesn’t have a husband. She has another child.

That woman is no fool. That supped up broken down truck was a hobby or toy. It was not a truck to do loading or trailer pulling!

I don't see a kitchen remodel as a luxury for reasons such as cited by @susi09 and kitchens and bathrooms are vital to family health and sustenance. When things break down in those living areas, it's a catastrophe. They need to be clean, modern, and as up-to-date and functional as possible. EDIT I'm speaking of electrical outlets, plumbing, safety, load capacity, etc.

Yeah. I think that’s who dad is. She wants a luxurious lifestyle and he wants the simple life. I’m guessing education is not his strong suit; so, it makes sense that he’s not putting stock in education for his boys. He probably wants them to take over the construction business, but a proper education will help them do that successfully (and that’s IF they want to take over the family business)

Everyone is NOT suited for college. You can’t force a grown man to go to college. If that’s not what he wants, it’s not what he’s want. Not to mention he does have some skills and certifications which is technically schooling 💁🏿♂️

Some times wives/husbands just need to know… do you even care about me or the marriage? How can you so easily walk away from it all. Excluding toxic people and negative relationships, but someone who you said you loved in a healthy way. If it’s over then it’s over, but be humble and not cowardly.
They are definitely a beautiful family. He just sounds like he’s comfortable and he’s going to make it work the way he’s making it work. He needs a little more energy and motivation to tighten up on some things, but other than that they’ll be all right.

I think if he provides and remembers to keep boundaries in place for the children's responsibilities, then this should be ok.
He'd have to prioritize the children's responsibilities. He also needs to make wise financial choices and share with heir first. It's a great money move to own the car fully- after a mechanic approves it is functional and a wise purchase.
She would have to realize school is not his thing. If he is more firm on children's responsibilities and finances, and she still has issue..then that seems like a bigger problem. He can still be ambitious without more degrees. And it seems the car was the only money example brought up...thats not too bad. He also used great reasoning- if no fixes were needed, he'd be golden. Love him for him- or let him be.

A Man speaks up with confidence. A Man enforces standards in a family not break the rules (taking the kid for ice cream when a tutor is scheduled). That truck was a toy not a work truck for a "contractor". It was elevated. No real contractor is trying to lift things on a higher truck bed, nor is it fit to pull trailers at normal height. Lastly, he doesn't finish what he started or at least FINISH something. He needs a father, not a wife!
What does she thinks hes a broke wm that she married!!!!! He is living off of her also if she has to work and go to school and still make ends meet. She messed up by dating and married the wrong one
