I found this team to work really smoothly:
Base vegeta: Point
Kid Buu: Mid
Base Goku: Anchor
Everything just synergizes so nicely. You have the Kid buu assist for lockdown which helps with Vegeta's crazy blockstrings and mixups. Kid Buu's lv 1 super that can easily DHC into super spirit bomb. There is so much potential with this team

Gameboii98 I have the same team, but I have Super Saiyan Goku as Mid, Because Iâm a basic boi.
Gameboii98 plus I can combo SSJ Gokuâs Instant Kamehameha with the Spirit Bomb, so yeah.
Well Kid Buu's purpose on my team mainly for his assist during Vegeta's blockstrings and DHC into Goku's super spirit bomb Plus, I can use Buu's assist to lockdown, my opponent, while Goku charges the spirit bomb to max. But I can definitely see SSJ Goku being a good mid for this team too. His DHC is godlike and his assist is good for pressure and extending combs.
Nice cool breakdown of base Vegeta, cheers! Just such a pity an Oozaru transformation into a giant wereape with a massive "mouth blast" wasn't one of his level 3 options though! Maybe they'll give the Oozaru level 3 to Raditz? Yeah yeah i know, he never used it himself in the DBZ manga/anime, yet still y'know.
I feel this on a spiritual level. Oozaru is such a unique transformation, and made Vegeta a serious force to be reckoned with in early DBZ. Hopefully Raditz gets included in the game, since he's possibly my favorite Dragon Ball character of all time. I don't care how he gets put in, I just need him. Right now. At this very moment. Any time, Arc Sys. Bring the broku back.

I have no doubt. Top 3 character imo, since he's pre-patch Bardock with arguably even more mixup potential and Bardock was top 3 then before his competition was nerfed (Kid Buu and Cell).

I miss the OG galick gun, the one with the spiky aura around you, I don't know why akira toriyama changed it, but if he didn't, I would like it more that kamehameha
I just hate how the galick gun barely gets used I get that Vegeta has better techniques but thatâs like his old reliable there shouldâve been a level 3 for base Vegeta

I feel like the galick gun should have been his level 3 since it was his most iconic move
His Level 3 special move is actually good for a trap move. If someone is about to super dash (meaning they will track you), use the level 3 and it will pull the opponent in and damage them, you could also use it whilst the opponent is using melee attacks whilst you are blocking as they wouldn't have time to block whilst using a move.
Soooo like pretty much every other lvl 3 in the game?

Just to add, the garlic gun as an assist (forward + lvl 1 when using another charatcter) does track the position of the opponent

you can end your combo midscreen and still be able to reach your opponent in time to land your level 3 with a micro dash. also, 2S and 23S go the same distance.

medium attack of knee drop works after a launcher just need to delay a bit {and also if you do the knee drop after a launcher in the air no need to delay)
and keep in mind the grab doesn't work after the medium version only on the heavy version ;)
actually, if you vanish after the 214M, you can get the command grab to work.
He's gonna have that Bardock pickrate no doubt about it.

Btw using the grab before the lvl3 gives you more time to do your mixups as it allows you to move sooner then if you dont use the grab
in case you were wondering, it gives you 4 more frames to set up your oki.
you can actually combo into lvl 3 midscreen without using ex stomp
you have to do the normal bnb then microdash > lvl 3, it's not very hard so it's match viable imo

At the end of these your should do the combo challenges, because I think it could help people to see your hands do it instead of the demo

It's great that he has incredible blockstrings and mix-ups. But he really didn't need an incredible lvl 3 oki on top of that. This is just too much IMO. At least his neutral is not amazing (though perfectly serviceable).

The grab does scale
How do you follow up your combo from an aerial launcher without super dashing? Maybe I'm just bad at the game and cant preserver my super dash for later in the combo, but this is something I have a lot of trouble with. This is how I start my battle in the final arc of the story with Android 18, I ki blast to stun, if they block (at the time of me typing this I realized that I should've backed myself up with an assist) then I block, if it hits, I super dash, do a short aerial combo that wont take me too far in the air, finish it with aerial launcher *land* then super dash again and continue my combo from there.
If you have some assists that pop enemies up, you can land a lvl 3 mid screen. That's if you dont use a launcher, but I got some good damage using broly and Tien. I can only imagine what others will come up with
you don't need assists to land his level 3 mid screen; you just need to micro dash.

I got the game last week and was struggling to find a 3rd team member to go with broly and frieza and vegeta fit right in, ive done so much damage in corners and some oppenents canât even get out before I use vegetable level 3 as a follow up to friezas death ball.

You actually shouldn't use the grab if you're going to follow with a level3 because it actually does less damage, and if you were able to do the grab that means you were able to do a level 3. Don't use the grab if you're gonna use a L3
umm...it only does less damage if you start the combo with the command grab, which in that case, you would never follow up with a level 3 because you can super dash instead. ending your combo with the command grab into level 3 does the exact same damage as just ending it with a level 3. also, adding the command grab to your combos will give you extra meter.

I see so many peeps complaint ab his blockstrings but literally every character tht has these âbrokenâ blockstrings can be easily stopped wit a simple reflect. Tht dash kick? Reflect. His jump? Reflect. He tries to dash behind me wit an assist covering him? Vanish. Although Iâve never tried it Iâm also assuming his knee drop? Re. Flect.

Can't reflect his dash kick. It's a true blockstring. And the assist for the follow up doesn't even need to be that long. Same for auto combo mixup. The rest needs some longer assists, but can easily be true blockstring as well
I wish i liked this game more. Ranked stresses me out. Just want to play with some buds, but my friends are bad at fighterz đ

Forming a disk with your energy really shouldn't be called copying krillin, especailly when he used that move to cut off gohan tail. It's just simple ki shaping.
i think you didnt check the damagescaling on his grab. the grab reduces the damage by a lot!
no. he checked it. the command grab only reduces the damage if it's used as a combo starter. when used at the end of the combo, it doesn't reduce the damage at all and it gives you more meter.

Hell no. Broly on release was "buffed" and he was broken beyond belief. Also, 16 is absolutely busted in the current meta, and nappa is always an option, since nobody knows how to block his mixups since nobody plays him. So yeah, If only there was no love to tankier characters

Never played this game should i but it wanna play a good Dragon ball z game that's fun and last for a while
BattleFuzion FTW its alot of fun and will last a while. But its incredibly unforgiving if you dont put in the time to learn and practice since fighting games are prob the hardest games out there
It's great, and if you put in the time, playing fighting games can be some of the most rewarding experiences you have
FighterZ is a pure Fighting game so even with the Dragonball license if you didn't have fun playing games like Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct or Marvel vs Capcom you will likely not like this one. Xenoverse 2 might be more up your ally in that case and it's also cheaper right now. If you like fighting games however this one is definitely one of the best on the market right now.
BattleFuzion FTW this is a fighting game with a dragon ball z skin. If you donât like fighting games you might not like this however this was the first fighting game I have ever gotten into. At first because it was dragon ball z but mostly because itâs a fun game
