Love that resurrection bush (Myrothamnus), we get a lot here in Zimbabwe. Sadly some areas are over-harvested for 'medicinal' tea. A friend of mine had a dried specimen that got wet after many decades in storage and greened up!

Always good stuff Joey, I love turning people on to your channel. Kissenia sounds like what hippies would name their daughter. I'm spending some time with family, including a 4 year old great nephew in the Florida panhandle. Digging on the dune plants, at least 3 DYCs I can see, gotta find some on unprotected dunes so I can get close enough to ID them. Managed to find some coast that's not packed with pastel condos, there's a few but no high rises. Obligatory non-native landscape plants everywhere as always. The human tumor is soon to overwhelm it's host IMHO, hospice is keeping the sedation going though.
Thanks Joey, hope things are looking up. Gfys

Poikilohydric plants are so damn interesting, the aforementioned, carnivore plants, sequoias & baobabs were some of the first plants that I became fascinated by when I was a kid, I've yet to see three of those in person, the mighty Selaginella lepidophylla is found a couple hours away from where I currently live, so, I might explore around to find it in the wild someday...
As always, great video, thank you for sharing such wonderful content; I recently reanimated my interest in botany and seeing your videos has further motivated me to learn more about such things!

Hey Joey, I love the videos from Africa because I get to see stuff I've never seen before. By the way, if you want an idea for a future video, consider doing one purely focussed on non-native invasives. In my part of the world, we have invasive Brazillian Peppers which are pretty interesting - they grow fast even in drought areas, always have thick waxy leaves, and animals dont eat them because they have the same stuff as poison ivy. They are VERY hard to kill too.

He has really nice fingernails, right? Anyone who gets as excited about plants is a keeper!!
Him mixed with a man who knows that we're in like/ love, but we're still going to either go to counseling or any kind of learning how WE communicate and bond type of class session mediator to figure out how to communicate throughout our time together is the man I'm looking for! It always takes work AND compromise. It's interesting to find people willing to compromise even I'm used to doing things the way I like and the way I do it I also think it's our job to let the person be whoever the hell they are even if we don't like it we should still love them that was a long Stony rant! ✌🏽🌍🌱
