The Titanic orphans were the Navratil brothers who had been kidnapped by their father and taken on the Titanic. Their parents had been going through a bad breakup and they were in care while the courts decided which parent would have custody. Their father had them for a visitation day and instead of returning the boys to their carer he took them on the Titanic without the knowledge of their mother or anyone else. The father told passengers he was a widower and they were all using other names. They survived but their father did not. Being so young and not speaking English made identifying them difficult and it was nearly a month before they were identified and reunited with their mother who had not known they had been on the ship and ultimately in America until their pictures and story of being unidentified orphans was made public on both sides of the Atlantic. The mother had to travel to the US to claim them and the boys and their mother returned to France.

These pictures and the accompanying music are offered for our edification and enjoyment. I wish people would stop the whiny critiques and simply enjoy the gift.

I was hesitant to mention Joy Division's song Heart and Soul, because I think I have done so previously. Seeing the picture of Piccadilly Circus seems to be a sign it's ok. =P It came to mind as soon as I read the title of this group of pictures.
verse 3:
An abyss that laughs at creation
A circus complete with all fools
Foundations that lasted the ages (these last 2 lines differ from what I think I've heard with my 2 ears)(someone else might hear something different =) )

time as we know it is fleeting- things that happened 5 years ago seem like yesterday, or an hour ago. my perspective has changed. A Family Circus cartoon is before my eyes- gramma and momma have children running around their skirts. Gramma tells momma- 'enjoy them every minute dear, before you know it they will be gone.'

The side by side photos @ 4:39 appear to be a photo for use in a stereopticon. I used mine to test it and wasn't sure if I was getting the 3D effect. It seemed to but I could only get so close to the screen due to the rail that sticks out forward where the slide moves back and forth to focus the cards the photos are mounted on. I was taught by an older photographer who took these type photos for Eisenhower in WWII as areal reconnaissance how to take them with any camera today as long as no moving subjects are included.
