The models have a longer flight time than the real ones!
because something tells me the real ones were faster ;)
+woolfoma in scale the models are probably faster
tegunn air resistance is exponential with increased speeds. its the reason a hotwheel can go scale speeds of mach if you had it roll down a smooth hill.
True about speed and air resistance (the old rule of the faster the bullet goes, the faster it slows down), but actually the air molecules are still 1:1, so to go scale speeds they would have to go slower which is probably stall speed for these models. My original point was that the flight time on the real one was quite short, not a trait of a fighter..The 163's really shouldn't be classed as fighters but rather as interceptors.
tegunn maybe because the real ones have rocket engines, these things have jet engines.
That is really awesome and i cannot stop watching these two amazing machines!

Schämen muss sich bei den Modellfliegern niemand. Hauptsache ist doch, dass man Spaß beim Fliegen hat. da kommt es nicht auf Größe und Geschwindigkeit an. Ich selbst fliege nur Zeugs von Parkzone und habe mächtig Spaß damit.

That's just fabulous! One of my favourite warbirds and these guys are just superb pilots. Hope to see them this year in Oberhausen. What an magnificent display! Love the high speed flyby's and full throttle climb outs. Simply amazing. And your filming is once again just perfect! What great way to start the weekend :-)

Absolutely awesome Horst!!! Great job taking off in that cross wind it looked like with the narrow undercarriage! Beautiful scale flying and magnificent low passes by Dieter and Philipp with those sweet Me 163 Komets! Always like the Me 163 with the rocket motors and drop gear and go vertical, spectacular! Yet again another superb video and of my favourite subject,which of course is a German warbird as they look so menacing,well to me at least. :-)

Yes, it looks easy, but flying in formation at > 250mph it needs some good skill.

That was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like I was watching a real Komet. I realize these are jet rather than rocket powered, but that just makes them all the more stunning!

Using a rocket / pulsor is possible but due to the very loud noise it's difficult to find a location to fly.
