TJ, had a blast going to the different shops and picking your brain about all things bourbon. The Stagg 22A is absolutely incredible!! Thanks again for everything. Learned a lot and you without a doubt sparked an even bigger bourbon obsession for me.
22a is a solid bottle
Stellar job being an awesome dude on camera Justin. You fit right in with all the enjoyable chaos brewzle cooks up
Awesome stuff!
Hey Justin, new to bourbon and would to get in touch with your friend here in Colorado! I'm in the northern part of the state.
Way to go Justin!!! How cool!!!! I have only been drinking bourbon for just over a year, and it was Old Forester 1920 Prohibition that did it for me. They just released O.F. 1924.
That "tour guide" at the first stop was AWESOME!! Lot of honesty and knowledge.
Such a nice man and even gave a bit of his own opinion without selling too hard.
When he said something was his favorite because it was smooth he lost me. That is usually a sales pitch i hear at stores that the sales man doesn’t drink much.
@@brandonjones6703 did you not hear the well of knowledge about his product? More importantly he actually gives a shit. A salesperson will never give you a straight opinion, he showed a variation of products and leaned towards some of his favorites. Given how it seems like he’s tried his fair share of whiskey, I’m sure he can genuinely distinguish a spirit as “smoother” or the proof not hitting the pallet as strongly for 100 proof.
He knows his stuff
A salesman that actually knows his product. I was impressed.
You could do Brewzle tasting sessions. During your bourbon hunts sell tickets and do a tasting with a bunch of bottles. Bring bottles to drink em, make space in the car for new bottles, and small profits for the hunt. Kinda like a concert tour
The tastings would be local to the cities you're visiting
I agree with this guy
This was pretty much what I was thinking as well!
I like this idea
That’s a fantastic idea!
There's just something about these bourbon hunting videos that's so engaging even for non-enthusiasts. They all follow the same pattern/format obviously, but each one is different enough that you don't get bored watching 5 in a row. I'm a freelance video editor, so I know how hard it is to make content that has that balance of familiarity & surprises-- I just had to leave a comment commending y'all for that. Keep em coming. Anyways, if you've read this far, greetings from the land of the Razorbacks, and hit me up if you ever need another video editor, ha! 🤘
Very well said!
Love the fact that you’ve been meeting people out and about and including them on your hunts. Guy in Wyoming with the double oak, then this one with the Stagg….out there making fans and followers in your brand. Good stuff!
And he’s bought each a bottle! I just hope people do t now expect to get a free bottle if they run into him and try to take advantage of his generosity
@@patrickn8355I'd just like to chat with TJ
Great stuff Brewzel…. Your generosity is beyond words… you definitely made Ryan’s day… I’m sure he’ll remember that for a lifetime.. 👍
A brewzle get together dinner type thing where a ticket buys a meal, a brewzle branded glenn, and a certain amount of pours from your bottles.
This is a great idea!
I’d buy a ticket to that
That was very cool of you to buy that young man his first Stagg. That $199 just gave him a life long memory that he will cherish forever!
Hey, commenting because you said you read all the comments. Just wanted to say, y'all are doing a fantastic job, I dont even drink alcohol, but I just love your personality, your interactions with people, and someone that loves participating in their hobby/interest/passion and explaining it so I understand. Keep it up. Cheers.
Ragged Branch is farm to bottle! They're out of Charlottesville, VA. They grow the grain on site, feed the spent mash to beef cattle on the farm, and sell the beef in their on farm/on distillery store. And, the bourbon is fantastic!
Out of Dublin Ireland. Have to admit this is the only whiskey channel I have subscribed to and I am extremely happy that I did. I just enjoy the content and hope you keep growing.
I don’t even drink and I love watching this guy.
The knowledge and wisdom is addictive.
Same lol 😂
dude im a child and i love it
Agree
That RY3 is absolutely fantastic. Not a huge rye drinker but I haven't had a bad bottle from them.
9:25 my dumb idea: Franken Barrel. Buy an empty barrel, put every open bottle that you might not finish in there til you're out or its full. Wait a period of time, say a year, and then bottle them up again and give to supports who can travel to Alabama to get them.
Another great video! Glad to see your channel is growing. It’s informative, funny and very entertaining!
Hey TJ and Jill, you guys make buying and drinking bourbon even funner. Have a Merry Christmas
Man, this guy’s my favourite CZcamsr. Hunts are always a great watch and seems like such a top bloke. Big fan 👍🏼
We must protect TJ at all costs!!
Im new to the bourbon scene. Learning as I go. I really do enjoy all your videos. You’re very informative and I value your opinion. Thanks
Love your content Brewzle! I'm don't drink much, but this is so much fun to learn about and there's no one doing it better than you!
I'm sure doing something for patrons/members would be great. A concept I am doing is a themed "infinity bottle" though you could do a blend. For me, I love Russell's picks, so I'm building and infinity bottle of just my RR picks, to create something fun that is partially every pick I've ever picked up for RR. Just a thought!
I just love the fact of how humble you are with you fans/viewers even as fast as this channel is growing. Always a pleasurer to watch and learn. 🙏
For a small distillery. If you ever see Mularkey distillery out of Bristow Virginia, I can confirm it’s farm to bottle. Their corn comes from my cousins farm. Haven’t yet got to try their whiskey or bourbon. But I’m sure I will soon. I’ll update on how it tastes.
Been watching your videos for a couple months now and I think this was the best one yet.
Keep up the good work.
Buying someone their first Stagg, love it! Keep it up Brewzle!!
What a guy getting that man a stagg jr. Nice job TJ thanks for being a good guy showing your fans some love. Just getting into bourbon and the hype is real waiting in lines for some Frey ranch!!
Loved the first liquor store! The gentleman showing you the bottles was chill. The viewer you joined with was also cool!
Very cool 1st two stores and knowledge as well which I love to find.
The 3rd store are the type that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Like going to a shady used car dealer lot. It is always “I can’t do that” “buy more” and I will reduce the vasty inflated price by a dollar.
I hunt regularly my 3 near to me states and 2 are abc and 1 is secondary.
A lot of abc state people don’t realize you can get better prices on regular bottles in a lot of secondary markets. It is just the hard to get and allocated that we get at a fair price.
Love that you bought that young man a Stagg. Lots of respect for you TJ and glad I am a Patreon.
Any place in Columbus, Georgia named Crazy has a reputation for gouging on allocated bottles.
Keep doing what you do. A raffle for your viewers would be a good way to help with your storage problem.
Just got my first ever bottle of eagle rare, and damn is it good!
Nice!
Cheers!🥃
Thanks! :)@@BourbonNRyeGuy
Just started my bourbon journey. Picked up an Old Forester 100proof tonight. It is good! Smoother than I was expecting for 100. Look forward to digging further into it. Thanks for the new obsession @Brewzle 🤣
I love the bottle signing idea! You should start doing that everywhere that will let you. They’d probably be stoked on the traffic influx.
You're to blame for me trying to find bourbon here in England, UK. It's tough!! You're a cool dude TJ.
Have you found the Never Say Die bourbon? It's a nice pour and an even better story.
My Fiddler recommendation is Georgia Heartwood Bourbon (the single barrel)
I picked it up at my TX TW b/c I am originally from Atlanta and a couple of years ago it was $65 or $70 but people have caught on and so then did TW and jacked up the price to ~$92 here in north texas at TW. This has presented a a value dilemma for me. Because it is a great, flavorful and surprisingly has some good complexity to it, but at $70 it was a splurge and at 92 it’s just too high. But I definitely would recommend that one if you are looking to try fiddler. You (and your wallet) may not buy another one but you’ll enjoy the one you do have
Regarding the bottle excess, I'd say maybe sell like sample flights? You can buy small brewzle sample bottles and maybe put together a care package of 5 samples and then do 3oz of each? You can do limited runs of set bottles and really focus on a well blended experience and strategically reduce your supply
Love your videos. The education you provide is priceless. Thanks 🧡
Cheers is my go to as of late. Glad you’ve had the opportunity to check them out.
New to the channel and have watched almost every episode over the last week or so. Keep up the good work!
Georgia is definitely different. Been bourbon sipping and collecting for 6 years. Bottles I’ve never seen readily available. My bother lives outside Atlanta. He has a shop he’s loyal to and the owner reciprocates. My brother has purchased 2 Staggs in the past year,,,,at retail! I had the opportunity to taste the first Stagg he purchased along with several other sought after bottles. The Stagg stood out by far as the best by far. Coated my palate with rich dark fruits, vanilla, brown sugar, some notes I can’t explain. And I say coated,,, like 10W/50. The finish completes this pour by lasting for half a minute or more. Hope that young man enjoys the bottle TJ got him. That was an awesome gesture!
The lady that came out and said “what are you doing?!?” Had me cracking up. Glad you include stuff like that in these videos.
Hey, love your videos. If you want to get more into rum I recomend you check out the plantation OFTD and 5 year. In my oppion all of the platation stuff is really good, except the xyamac, but those two in paticular are good rums for burbon drinkers. I also highly recomen the el derado 12 year. all three are very reasonably priced 25-35 dollars. I feel like since rum isnt as in vouge as burbon right now these really good rums kinda get slept on so you can get really good value on a bottel of rum. pluss dollars go alot farther inbplaces where rumbis made so that makes it cheaper too. I would love to see your videos branch out in that direction. Either way I will be watching.
Fun video Brewzle. I’m in Canada where bourbon selection is pretty awful so seeing some of the assortments here is pretty amazing. But the pricing is bizarre. I recently found a Rock Hill Farms for $99 CAN, or something like $70-$75USD. And we have oceans of Buffalo Trace for $45CAN. But then a Makers 101 costs us nearly $100CAN. It’s strange. I’m living vicariously through you! All the best. Greg in Nova Scotia.
For some reason the whistling in the background between 12:17 and 12:20 scared the daylights out of me! Great vid as always Brewzle, loved the tour at the first stop
So cool! You definitely made his day hooking him up with a Stagg! Happy holidays Brewzle family
Just picked up a taylor and a Elijah Craig 18 and love them your definitely inspiring me to explore more
Im down for the brewzle meet and greet to gain your knowledge. Its priceless
I just love the knowledge you are sharing. Thank you.
just know your bourbon hunts are being enjoyed in Germany, too. Just love to sit back and watch it. Thank you so much!
Love the video. Used to live in Columbus, GA until 6 months ago. The Bottle Shop and Maple Party Shop were always my favorites. Never been to Cecil's, always seemed like on the wrong side of town. I may have to rethink that next time I visit.
I was at a local store yesterday, looking around the bourbon aisle, the owner came up with a bottle of EH Taylor in his hand and asked me if I was interested. So I bought that. Asked if he had any Weller, which is harder to find in Texas for some reason. He had a bottle of 107 for me. I’ll be going back there many times
I love the bourbon hunting trips but my favorite vids are the blind taste tests. I feel i learn the most from those
Big fan of Milam & Greene, particularly the Rye (believe it's still sourced MGP), but finished in port barrels in TX. Also, the Unabridged annual release is excellent - it's a blend from 2-15 yr old.
Hey Brewzle! Checking in from Chicagoland. Two distilleries close by that have pretty decent distribution are Koval and Few. They both source their grains but everything else is in house. Koval uses some interesting grains, such as oat and millet. I don’t think you can get much more unique than that. Hope you can swing by ChiTown on a hunt soon!
Brewzle….Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re a bourbon educator, promoter - you’re enlightening the masses.
I'm in Columbus, so thanks for the local tour! As for getting rid of the lesser whiskey - I got two boys in Athens that'll solve that problem for you.
I'm going to be honest, I wish I could afford to do what you do just once. Even if I didn't buy anything. The experience alone would be fantastic. I watch your videos and shorts, recently subscribed. Keep up the great work brother. You are awesome.
Just found you and love your vidz. Learning allot from you. I'm not a big drinker but it just amazes me how much there is to learn about brown spirits. I'll keep watching to see what might please my "rookie" pallet. Nothing too "hot" yet. Buzz
Had a single barrel of Fiddler Georgia Heartwood at 114 proof - delicious wheater very unique very amber in color
Nice job TJ on hooking a fan up. Very solid. You’re a good dude.
Good on you for this man! You can tell that guys was both excited and thankful!
Really nice gesture with that young guy. He will remember that and someday will do that for someone else. You are a good man
Love your content and what you are doing for the whiskey community
You should host an event where others can try the bottles you don't want to keep. The bourbon/whiskey community is awesome and it seems you are a great source of information and positive influence.
Love the idea of a Brewzle dinner/catered event where all your open bottles are there for trying. Could buy tickets / taste
Divide and concur Send out sample bottles to the masses. Have a club that we can buy into and get a monthly supply of different bottles you separate.
Love this video. Super generous with your "date" 🤣 and the gentleman at your first stop was great. That guy needs his own channel. Glad to have come across your content. Keep it up!
Make blinds with a QR code you can scan and see what you’ve bought after you place them. Code be a fun idea for get togethers.
Could even have say 10 specific sets and attached to the QR code is a video you do ranking the blind that people can play along while doing it or after.
That's really nice of you to share the love with the nice young man!
I get so happy when these videos get released!
Friday entertainment I was waiting for enjoying Knob Creek 9 :-) . Thanks Brewzle and greating from Poland.
My advice to getting bottles out to other to enjoy… is to create a page or group that folks could buy into. Like say $50 to enter, use a number generator, and you can ship those bottles out while not losing your backside on price. I’ve been part of many gun raffles online, and that’s how it works and it works well for both parties. Keep on keepin on buddy!!
TJ, I’m a bourbon head originally from LaFayette. I currently live in Cartersville, GA, and hunt bourbon from Chattanooga to Canton. My brother is in Opelika, and I’m in the area fairly often and would enjoy a bourbon hunt in your or my area, or a distillery trip. I’m a 61 year old fan of yours!
Brewzle Round Table pod cast/ show. Cigars, taste, discussion and stories. Also always amazed at the prices and finds you come across.
A great video…I love when you go out on bourbon hunts…a lot of information
Brewzle, Kings County is good stuff. I unfortunately have only had on bottle of their generic bourbon because they don’t have distribution in Florida. Glad to see they have it in GA. I picked up my bottle in Memphis. That means they are going more South, slowly.
I was so happy when I found the Ben Holladay here in Utah. It is now in my top 3 bourbons that I know I can get again.
Saw a bottle of yellow rose blue label at the Cheers store. Recommend trying that one out!
Went on a hunt here in Ohio this past Saturday when they do allocation drops and got a Weller antique it was glorious
An idea for your bottle "overload": Brewzel Infinity Blends. Sell (or give, it's your whiskey) them to Patreon members first then open it up to others if any of the bottles are left.
So I keep a bottle of Fiddler Unison at my bar at home as it’s generally the easiest to find. If you’re going to buy Fiddler or any ASW for a video I’d hold off and buy the Hesrtstring or Soloist. ASW bourbons are sourced though. You should have grabbed that Doc Holiday. It’s high proof, 127 proof I think. But it’s fully distilled here in Georgia. People don’t know much about it and they went a little over the top with the bottle but it’s a very good bourbon. I have to sell patrons at the bar I work at but once I get them their first pour they’re generally impressed with it.
TJ, been following you for a while now. Love what your doing and the content. You keep it real. Keep em coming.........
One you missed in Colorado is bear creek distillery they distill and bottle some very good wheaters
ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood is probably my favorite whiskey, overall ! Incredible !
If you come across any Rebecca Creek you should buy some. It's a small distillery in San Antonio that actually distills their own.
The Dragnum is actually worth trying. Idk what they do different. I feel like they just use a little bit better whiskey to start with. It is still Fireball but better for sure.
Wow! That was incredibly kind of you to do that for that gentlemen!
Cheers! 🖤🥂
If you are looking for farm to table, You REALLY need to try out anything from Iron Fish Distillery out of thompsonville Michigan. There fields they grow their grains at are at the distillery. They do a lot of finished products which are VERY GOOD, but the straight bourbon and rye are GREAT
I’ve been loving these bourbon hunts, idk why I love them so much but I do!
Wish there was a app like whatnot but for whiskey or liquor in general. That way u could everyone experience your picks ups and future barrel picks.
The Admiral Rodney rum in the Rock Hill Farms like bottle is from St Lucia Distillers and is owned by Spiribam. It’s a great, barrel driven rum, the only complaint is the 40abv
Thanks to you, I went and picked up some Jack Daniels bottled in bond. Love the caramel undertones, definitely blew me away
You just need to keep doing what yoir doing. It's amazing information. I'm a scotch guy but I have been trying bourbon that I really like because of the info I get from this channel.
You made a wise decision grabbing that RY3 cigar series. What an amazing pour that is!
Tremendous show. Very entertaining and informative. Much respect.
Wollerdheim Distillery local in WI. Also a winery.. . Single Barrel Bourbon and Rye, also BIB .. awesome. You have to try and visit if you can..
Long time viewer, first time commenter; thank you for you're advice on Evan Williams bottled in bond specifically, and for so many other pieces of advice in general. I love your content Brewzle!
Love the bourbon hunting videos, great work!!
I haven’t had any alcohol since the beginning of April but I still enjoy your videos.
@brewzle ASW Unison is a mixture of MGP and ASW distillate. ASW Soloist Bourbon and Resurgens Rye are 100% ASW distillate. ASW is pot still distillate.
I am from Columbus. Followed you because you're also from the area. I am kicking myself for not checking out Crazy Cecil's while I was in town over Thanksgiving. Love your videos! If you're ever in Tampa, I have some recommendations for you.
