  • It was suggested a few weeks ago to do a video on how to hook up and use the programming track I built a while back to my laptop and how JMRI works. Here it is I hope it helps. I also put a link to the JMRI website below.

Hey, Mike. It is suggested that unless you plan to run this loco on DC as well as DCC, you disable the DC functions on the Analog Controls tab and run NMRA Digital only. This prevents a transitory DCC spike from making the loco take off at Warp 8 and self destruct with a Lemming Leap off your layout table. A scale 350 ft (scale) swan dive is hard to recover from... BTDT.

Wow, thank you for the quick reply. Yes that helps. I have been trying to connect to JMRI via wireless and it just is not working well. This is a good way to connect via hard wire. Thank you again. Lynn

Really enjoy your vid's. I must say that I'm lost with all the DCC stuff, I'm strictly an old DC guy, I do wish I could find someone to change some of my couplers for me , if you know of somone who offers ths service please let me know, oh I'm N-scale.

Thank you. Yes it can be intimidating to begin but it's not as complicated as it seems. And I'm n scale as well and I need the same things done as well. Guess it'll be another video in the future lol
