    This is quite the nice looking radio!
    I've been curious to see more 'smartphone' like radios comeout, all the experiences I've had with older styles of computerized radios have been rather...annoying. Lots of endlessly clicking the same button to dig through things or rather dated pressure sensitive touch screens that take ages to actually load the next menu. Also it looks like the phone holder uses the 'Go-Pro' Style Action camera mounting system, which would be very useful for filming for those of us that don't trust a phone holder with their excessively heavy smartphone. A look at pricing shows it at a pretty reasonable price for what it is too.

    The small trim switches on top of the steering wheel are four-way switches, like a small joystick. They move left-right and forwards-back.

    Does the standard NB4 have the same features, just plastic construction and a non-color display? I'm wondering if I could get the NB4 and not miss much!
    Thanks! Great video.

      You have to change the model on the controller

    How does this compare to the standard NB4? Better latency/framerate?

    So was this a free item they sent you? is this an impartial review. The OS looks a little clunky.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  Před rokem +4

      No, it was not a free item, I bought it at my local hobby store like everyone. The review is my honest opinion

    An almost perfect radio. Sadly, the 20 model memory kills it for me. Memory is so cheap now, you would think these radios could support an almost infinite number of models. That 18 channels is incredible though! It would be a real challenge to try to use them all.

      @TheSkunow Před rokem +1

      You are right, although the Model list can be limitless via the import/export function. So basically you have to decide which 20 cars you will take for a ride during one session ;-)

      It's completely unacceptable to limit the model memory for a radio with this price tag.
      I'm using a few OpenTX/EdgeTX radios for drones, which is an open source firmware for RC radios, and there isn't a model limit at all (only limited by the SD card size).
      Of course the export/import function allows the swap out the models -- but why, if it's possible to store them all at the same time?

    The transmitter supports up to 18 channels while the receiver has a maximum of 12 ?!

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  Před rokem +1

      It needs a special module to enhance it to 18 channels
