Dewalt Electricians Crimper and Cutter with Crimp Connect System

New DEWALT electrical tools include a U-Type Died Crimper (DCE300) and a Dieless Crimper (DCE350). Both feature the Crimp Connect™ System, an intelligent onboard reporting system integrated into the tool that reports and prints the date, time, force, and successful crimp cycles completed by the tool as well as the tool’s calibration and service history. An LED panel on the tool is used as an interface that powers on or off the tool, indicates battery state of charge, cycle completion, and if re-calibration or service of the tool is needed. Another bright LED work light helps to illuminate the crimping area when working in dark spaces.

I found the crimp connect software under the dce300 on the dewalt website. So, after getting the software and plugging it in, I found that my dce300 had been used successfully for 157 prior crimps and that it was then calibrated, it now has had 15 crimps since then with 9 failures. It is sporadic as to whether it will work properly. It is apparently a common problem and this thing is going back to the factory where it might cost $200-$1500 to fix. I have never had these problems with Milwaukee crimpers.
