One of the most important things that is defining meta rn is ancestral stun proprety, so if you dont want to be in cc the entire time you should go all in on resistance, also i would like to point out that most effective cc atm are knock ups or push backs, which are completely separate from potency and resistance, meaning duration doesnt get reduced at all (thats why necro's cc is so good).
Which you can resist with your shoulders and bone armor. Thats why I dont use bleeding spikes.

hey, thank you again for the insight, I have been following you for quite sometime and I really like the way you are analysing the game structure. Your farming set is for sure one of my favourites (orbiting spikes bone armor) and have been proving its worth. I have recently reset my paragon levels focused on potency, resistance and armor penetration and have tested a few interesting setups I could recommend. Your video has nailed a cofin to my hypothesis and would be great if I could have you have a go at it. let me know if anyone is interested, I wouldn't wanna bore your comment section with more than the above without askeing for permission.

Its great for pve but finally we get to the state of game where damage does not matter as much as before. So you can get other stats as well and still be very effective. This is the reason I gave myself a break from pvp for some time.

Hi bro, does armor penetration work on non critical attacks? Also can you show this in the actual game like comparing damage dealt and damage receive when you have armor and armor penetration.. Thanks
It doesn't work on pve directly. I was already swiching gems to try this. Armor gems dont decrease damage from mobs. And armor penetration gems dont increase damage directly. However damage from block and crit is diffrent. So it works at this point. Mobs dont have armor and armor penetration. Its just expected value. I guess its becouse whales would be to effective on pve if it wasnt like this. So for pve armor pen and armor do matter only in case of block and critical hit.
@@vk.videos on PVP does armor penetration boost your non critical attacks? can you test this out on ancient arena with a friend?
@@3102nzain Armor Pen ONLY increases the critical hit damage. Base critical hit damage is double damage and armor pen bonus is added to this. Armor pen works in PvE and PvP.
By contrast Armor only reduces damage taken when you block an attack.
@@Wolf462 thanks do you also know if what stat affects my summons durability since we know that the character's primary attack affects the summon's attack what stat affects its health and defense?
potency DOES increase duration of dots, my bile and torment does 8s+ instead of 6s, burning multishot over 5s instead of 4s and so on, all without baron set.
Correct and it's even more flagrant on the helm bleed where whales bleed last for ever while yours last barely 2 ticks
@@danh6252 ok I have to admit that i was wrong at this point. I tested it again with higher diffrences between my potency and target resitance. The results are very interesting and I will do video about it to make it clear. I think resoults will be interesting for you too. Thanks for pointing it out. However its not exactly as you say which is important. And personaly i think it makes resistance even more important. Since it technicly reduces incomeing damage.
@@vk.videos it depends, if you run grace set u wanna do the highest potency possible, and as DH you just hit and run and watch people die from grace, no need for high resistance
sadly i still find in BG players that care more about lots of killing than winning. They are there not defending or pushing the statues but just killing enemies.
What role is a monk if Necro is crowd control?

Completly difftent class. Since you as necro need to stay a bit behind but for a long time. Useing all ugly stuff on enemies then Monk is play and pray character which use crit chance and all other bonuses to take of target. If you survive this then Monk needs to wait for his cooldowns. In most cases he dies or run away.
So a f2p with less then 1500 reso who wants to be competitive in pvp should he focus on armor and resistance more then resonance?
What value of damage and hp you are able to get from resonance? If you focus on it? I mean being realistic
@@vk.videos so priority for necro in pvp is not to die ! Hence I understand armor and resistance is more valuable then dmg....then again resonance increases life .. the more life the survabilty....hence what's the trade off (more life from more resonance vs more armor /resistance)
@@MP-yt4cx resonance increases life but life without damage reductor is not a big deal if you fight against strongers. Armor decreases damage plus prevents you from getting tripled crit damage. Otherhand additional block chance decreases white hits at least by half.

Necro dots don't last very long.
I mean. Mindset and knowing your class is great and all. But sometimes the match maker just royally bends you over and uses a sandpaper dildo. You can absolutely make it to legendary as F2P. It's just not very fun being 1 shot all the time by other with 4k+ resonance. And match making is completely busted and broken currently. Why? Because most of the pvpers quit because of the state of p2w. I still like to pvp occasionally myself. But i admit it gets old losing 10 matches in a row because the damn match maker gives the other team all the whales or the bigger whales. Or both.
Not sure if you watch whole video. But a bit later i explained how to not be one shoted.
The funny thing is: ppl that play on NA or SA servers are screwd by thriving economy powered by large amount of whales. On eu where nothing sells and the market is dead whales just dont buy gems, meaning they are easy to kill and only have dmg and life advantage. Talking from expirience, 5k whales have lvl 7 gems tops and their stats are almost the same with yours at lvl 6 gems. Another thing: if you dont invest in reso and instead buy gems with irl money you will find yourself in much better spot, cause in your reso bracket you might be lower dmg and life, but you will be much harder to stunlock or oneshot.
@@FAST81000 from rank 6 to 7 amount of bonus stat is doubled. And I dont see any whale who run with anything lower than rank 8 to be very honest. Market is not dead either.
@@vk.videos Nah, if you are selling 2* at 2k ~ 2,5k range, thats not benefitial, gems are going for 100 ~ 130 and dmg gems for 200~250. I dont sell anything, cause its not benefitial, you will lose on your secondary stats to gain minor reso upgrades which are not worth it imo. I admit, not all 5k whales are ignoring gems, but i have seen plenty that do, if you have lvl 6 resistance gems in rings as well, you will have pretty much the same stats as lvl 7 gems users, also counting the fact that you invested your paragon points in resistance.
@@FAST81000 im not selling normal gems either... i used to sell turmalines to buy aquamarines. But they are no more for 400 plat. If you play pve then you dont realy need any 5 star gem but BSJ for movement speed. Some people sell normal gems to gain resonance from 5 stars but what does 1k dmg and 10 HP mean without secondary stats ? Nothing. They do it because they have been told about how reso is important.
Very smart to gimp your PvE damage further to be 0.1% more relevant in PvP nobody cares about xD
