Mojang: We're gonna add only 1 mob in this update
Meanwhile modders:
Unnecessary mob ☝️
Yea Microsoft have to keep you by the needle.. notch Had a decent Idea
Modders are Enthusiast, Mojang I think only works if you have money 😂
I don't know how things are under Microsoft but I know back in the day Mojang's view was they'd add small updates they found fun and specifically left the really wacky stuff up to the modding community - which is great 'cause an entire magic system could really put lots of players off but the mods are there if you want them
@@emperorgalaxy4495pov: phantoms
so glad someone brought back terraforged its easily the most stunning world gen mod
I like Tectonic more
reterraforged is better but tectonic is more managable
Is it back? Where? I could only find it for 1.16
@@oscarquintanilla213the 1.18 is literally on curseforge or modrinth
If you like big ahh lakes
Imagine if we add a mod with localized weather, so you can be sitting somewhere under a bright and sunny sky while watching a thunderstorm build up near the mountains far away.
Yess i have never think of that but it’s so a good ideaaa
Thats already in vanilla
@@dripmogus6979 they meant localized weather outside of the vanilla render distance, on top of the fake chunks of distant horizon
@@FaonPage Unless you're playing with your real render distance on 2 and the DH render distance is much higher obviously, then it wouldnt matter.
Shaders would also completely mitigate this anyway.
Also most people whos PCs are good enough to use DH will prob have their real render distance at 12-16 or 16-24.
@@dripmogus6979 he talking seeing clouds and raining far region, while player’s region has clear whether. Sorry for my bad englisg
I am glad that finally those "sea"s in minecraft turned into a beautiful lake now.
If you look at "oceans" in Minecraft using a seed finder/anything that can view a world from the sky, you'll just find oceans to be oversized lakes, which when I found just made me call them oversized lakes from them on.
@@Honoredmemedog There is a mod thats called (I guess) "Continents" that increase the size of "oceans" It did work quite well at making the "oceans" look more "ocean"
*Mojang:* we added a funny smashy hammer!
*Meanwhile modders:*
basically sword or axe when you jump-hit something but like does more damage
word for word bar for bar
@@epic_leptic not necessarily talking about this mod but about something bigger besides one mob from mojang
@@epic_leptic slowly but surely it will probably die without any main dev input
Your absolutely right.
This is Minecraft 2 😂
Hell nah, when mojang whant to launch MC 2 It will only be a texture and a shader 😆😆
But no way in hell will they add the fireflies💀💀💀
nah, this is better
No but this is what mc should have been in the first place.
@@epic_leptic it is in alpha and works very very well on my 7700k 1060 rog (7years old middle end config)
I'm honestly shocked how much minecraft has needed this. Like, you see distant horizons once and wonder how minecraft ever existed without it
Honestly this mod combination kind of shifts building away from terraforming the land to fit your build to instead building around the land in a scale that actually seems meaningful.
Like even a 20 hour build project on a ReTerraForged mountain looks like a tiny starter shack, and then comparing that mountain to the surrounding scenery, it looks like a tiny mound of dirt in a deep valley.
Previously you'd work really hard on the fine details of your build and try to terraform the land to create interesting shapes like a water feature under a bridge or a custom tree, but with this mod the landscape is already so stunningly beautiful and the scale of it all kind of hides the lack of fine detail that you'd usually notice on a smaller render distance.
whatever it is it sure does feel good
yeah, thats exactly why its amazing to look at but horrible to play with, everything takes 10 times longer to make and looks 10 times worse on a map like this
Yes exactly, No more need to Run around find a Spot. Look for a See and boom Journey Starts.
@@mathdantastav2496the thing with this you would need better features to improved your building and exploring, vehicles will make more sense in this scale
@@DavidGarcia-nx2gj u would need to essentially remake the whole game in order to make this scale work, it might work and it might end up beeing a good game, but it would be completly different from minecraft
As someone who is now nearing 30, I'm on the verge of crying. I remember playing the old minecraft with 8 chunks of render distance. Where you would walk into the fog hoping to find something new and exciting. Never would I have imagined that that game could look like this, with a world you could see for miles on end and having a sense of direction and scale of the world. It just really makes me want to play minecraft again.
Coward, man up
i played mc beta, this game is a massive part of my childhood. that said- this is enough to make a grown man cry...
maybe not literally but this is beautiful
GET BACK IN THERE, TEAR!!!
I loved that distant horizons make the Minecraft scale totally insane, a thousand blocks is nothing now
Crazy terrain generation damn
its incredible how much better the community is than the devs at the devs' job lmao
@@epic_leptic not even just that. Mojang devs are famous for being lazy af and taking ages to add anything to the game. I remember when we had no updates for years then got stained glass as a welcome back update lol
@@epic_leptic I mean how do you explain Sodium? A mod made by hobbyists in their spare time for free that optimizes the game to modern standards, yet a billion dollar gaming studio is unable to.
I should say they're just incredibly slow. They did after all improve JE to make Phosphor redundant. Maybe in another 10 years Mojang will make more optimizations.
this isnt as good as you think
If you actually experienced playing this in survival, it is insanely hellish as it takes an INSANE amount of time to go to 1 destination
It may look good, but it is actually insanely hard to even play normally with
I guess they could put it in the game but give an option to create a world like it or not, pretty much like AMPLIFIED but better
@@Bread011 I'm pretty sure the video was about distant horizons mod, not the world generation.
It's showcasing how far can you see with this mod as Minecraft doesn't have an official LOD system.
I'm still alive to see Minecraft become a massive multiplayer game with thousands of players connected in a world simultaneously. It will be crazy.
thats called multiplayer survival
@@joaquinugarte5197 Ok, but it's not good enough!
@@rafadgkurt agree
0:20 it's a small not commonly discussed thing, but I LOVE videos that start with an intro music, then have a full cut, then continue again at 0:20 with another new music track. It tickles my brain in the way of "You COULD have had an ad played here for you, but you didn't." which feels GREAT
Someone said in the comment section that they wanted to see the river and this is it.
How did you get the river that massive? Did you manually edit the preset file?
Hey, I also have a 4080. What settings did you make to run DH smoothly?
@@DJKenTuckyOfficialProbably. I encourage you to play with the presets, your supposed to edit them, thats how the original terraforged was you had to create your own
@@gamertardguardian1299 yeah i already played around with the presets but only in the in-game config, i haven't manually changed the preset.json yet. maybe with a future update we'll be able to increase rivers to that size in game
@@DJKenTuckyOfficial Ohhhh okay. Yea I thought you meant the in game configs. If you cant find anything in game to change river sizes then yea it might be in a config file.
Honestly they should make this vanilla.
no, it's too vast for normal gameplay
@@HoutarouOrekiOsuNo it isn't, this would literally be the game changing moment in gaming history literally
mojang are too lazy lol
@@royaltrh5671 lmao changing moment in gaming history?
The game is already laggy enough with a 16 chunk render dustance and no shaders.
Those open fields give off mad LOTR vibes
there's a huge lotr map in developement, I think it will be really cool with this mod and shader
In a world like this, you would really need faster transportation.
Smp with colonies must be fun
This is what I expected the caves and cliffs update to look like
fr
This is what an actually optimized game looks like
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Go to the 1:1 scale earth project Build The Earth by Pippen FTS and use these mods for really big famous landmarks like mount Everest or the Grand Canyon, maybe even Angel Falls idk. It would be a BANGER video!
sadly it uses 1.12.2 so distant horizons is incompatible. you could use a mod like far plane 2 though
@@finn_smithh couldn't you still export the world to a newer version?
you'd need the other mod that makes chunk generation cubic instead of in pillars which is what allows for full scale vertically@@Kruscle
@@superfamilyallosauridae6505 One could still convert huge schematics to newer versions. I've done that with a couple of places like Brickell Key and Ellithaey Island.
Fallen angels are aliens
you made better progress than mojang did in 5 years in this video
This is peak minecraft performance
There should be a custom PC just dedicated to running Minecraft
Pretty sure Linus tech tips did that for Karl Jacobs
I can only imagine the endless possibilities this can contain if you make a whole fantasy medieval / Cinematic wonders with this
This is amazingly beautiful. I really should start playing MC. Thanks for sharing.
This was so calming and amazing to watch. What an amazing video ❤
Absolutely in love with wide river ❤
Minecraft should look like this at this time. Of course with render distance slider and quality for far objects options to help any low end pc.
Wow this is absoluteley stunning! 🤯
It always amazes me to see Minecraft with incredible graphics such as this...truly breathtaking honestly it feels overwhelming its incredible!!!
This is f* amazing, gonna add this to my private modpack, think it's gonna fit nicely!
That sunset just blew my mind
This is epic!! It's like it's a whole new game and experience. I would return to minecraft with some of these in place now on the offical version.
turning on minecrafts smooth camera might help the jitters when moving the camera, other than that great vid! I love these mods
I think I'm gonna cry, It is so beautiful!
this mod makes me think of how great it could work with a version of Fossils and Archaeology. Imagine a mosasaurus in that water, with how pretty that map really is
What I think is really interesting, and I realized it because I do this, is that I think about how incredible that is to look at and think it would be so cool to see with that far of a render distance with that scale of landscape...but then I realize that the outside world does in fact exist
2:41 Wow.
from classic minecraft to this. the game evolve rapidly in a decade.
if only games with procedurally generated planets could copy these kinds of landscapes. would make exploring them way more immersive
This actually makes exploring mc feel more epic
One word gorgeous
this looks freakin insane brah
Minecraft with a PC at 4000€ it's more beautiful than other next-gen game
Maybe not 256 chunks, but 128 chunks run surprisingly smooth with this shader on my ~$800 Ryzen 5700X RTX 3060 Ti system (Distant Horizons Extreme quality preset)
The insane part is that the ability to run Distant Horizons (the mod which enables to run the game with 128 and 256 render distance but it does so with a video game trick called "LOD" or level of detail, which Minecraft for some reason doesn't do out of the box as literally almost every other game does) and Iris (shaders) just became a new thing. It's still in alpha/beta as of right now but you can try it out yourself (it's a bit of a hassle though so I don't recommend it to everyone).
I tried it on a Ryzen 7 7700x + RX 6700 XT + 32GB ram at 1440p and got a respectable ~90 fps on the most extreme graphical settings.
@@sens1tiv838dont give minecraft 32 gb ram, java's trash collector starts to slow down the game ALOT with that much ram
Although my specs are still higher end ( 3080, 5800x3D and 32GB RAM, 8gb allocated to MC ), I get around 80 to 120fps with SSRGI on in the shader settings at a DH render of 512 and in game of 12. DH settings are changed to high and when I load my world quickly change it to all CPU cores then when I want to play I change it back to normal as it wont stutter. You can run this stuff on more mid range hardware as well and even lower end hardware.
@@lilpain1997 I have a 3070 8GB, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 16GB RAM and 8 allocated to MC also, and i have many lags and 20 fps with iris + sodium, i don't know if minecraft use 8 cores of my CPU or i don't know how make this... also you know how set the render distance of DH ?
This is just simply awesome. I must use this mod.
mojang: we just added a new structure!
meanwhile modders:
Every time I watch these types of videos I'm reminded just how far this single game has come, and moreso than not from the community itself.
My potato laptop is watching this in absolute horror.
Thats beautiful man
The song makes the world Paradise
Definitely gonna play minecraft with that mod.
This is a SUPER PERFECT terrain that I ever see.
I'm not expecting Moyang to create something like this. But I wish they would spend an update cycle just focusing on optimizing their game.
This made me feel what I'd imagine someone colorblind would feel seeing all the colors for the first time. Just wow! We can actually see now!
This is beautiful
Ces d'une beauté extraordinaire on dirait un film !!
This mod is incredible, it makes me want to jump back in again
man this is on such an absurd level that it's almost unbelievable
I look like not watching Minecraft video, but National Geography video.
But I would say... this mod just so AWSOME! 🔥🔥🔥
Hope I can get a better laptop or PC for play Minecraft with this mod
Look like tectonic plates and rever is so stunning like in real life and between two continents like those was stunning. But badlands was the best with big long canyons also the spruce like edge mountain was stunning.it gives me nostalgia.all the time but that music i remember the movie i watch so long.
Everytime I play Minecraft this is what I want to see, thanks for making it reality!
Breathtaking
Imagine if this was added to the base game, and the world generator rewritten to give us rivers, streams, lakes, oceans etc. Just being able to see a massive flowing river or waterfall.
the best thing I've seen in my life
i want this. this is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen in minecraft
modders accidentaly made minecraft 2
looks like itd be really helpful for building bases too
I like that landscape a lot
It excites me to want to play Minecraft again - brings the game aliveeee
Cannot wait for Aeronautics to come out, we'll be able to appreciate so much more of ReTerraForged
Я на секунду подумал, что это реальная жизнь, пока не прочитал название видео😅
Beautiful.
Surreal
It's beautifull!!! Is amazing. 😊
Finally the boat seems useful
This, plus Sodium and Larger Structures. ❤❤❤
Imagine how cool thisd be in a world map in minecraft
I think they should gradient each biome into each other more smoothly, by putting the hottest biomes generating next to biomes of more natural temperature, and maybe slower block integration or smoother variants of grass colours. Would make the world feel more natural. Also naturally much larger biomes would need to be implemented as shown in the video, as well as smoother, more imposing and flowing landscapes.
It’s… so… beautiful
С этого момента я хочу жить в Майнкрафте
This is how I want to play Minecraft survival
Modder plans on creating a nice update for Minecraft.
Later, modder creates a new reality simulator!
How will I ever look at my current worlds again? This is just amazing. On this particular video I just have to rave about the river, finally something on the scale of the Mississippi, and what looks like ocean inlets. I'm sure there is a mod for ships somewhere? Gonna need them to sail about now. Trying to row a raft will require a weight to be placed on the keyboard and go do some stuff while your avatar paddles...
wonderful.
It's stunning..
In the next 20 years, us casual minecraft player will finally get to enjoy this experience when those 4090 become a standard low end gpu
It amazing!
This is the best configuration for a minecraft fantasy rpg survival server
It's so lifelike. I want this.
I find it stunning that you can fit the whole earth in minecraft... with the whole minecraft overworld being 3x bigger than the earth..
yet these rivers are half the size of a damn minecraft ocean.
Oh, yes, I'm already waiting for that same classmate to try to download all this to his Minecraft PE
You should set up a city there, build it and make a series, the terrain and the mod suit it very well.
Thanks to modders, we can relive the feeling of playing the alpha years ago. The feeling of the vastness of this world and its mystique
Love it.
this in VR would be crazy
Words can’t describe the wonder I feel while watching this.
If Mojang fix terrain generator like this and add distances horizon mod, Minecraft would become the best game in history
But then the game wouldn't really be suitable for low-end PCs unless it would be possible to turn those settings off
@@DJKenTuckyOfficialNot true, I’ve got DH to run on my 2017 Dell work laptop with the help of performance mods, not only that I had more fps and significantly more render distance than I had in the vanilla game. The game is one of the most stupidly unoptimised things a large company could create
@@DJKenTuckyOfficialWhat’s wrong with that. They already have rtx setting and most ppl can’t use that
@@HSpartaL Do you only use DH or DH + shaders?
Microsoft wont let Mojang touch minecraft, Hence why the updates are always so small
Bruh, is there any chance you could upload the whole save folder to download? I was following desc to get to the same place, no succes at all :( I would love to play that map
