Speed of Sound is one of those settings where it needs to be forced enabled for all players otherwise there's no reason to turn it on because it's a straight disadvantage.
irl supersonic objects (jets, bullets) will pass by you and THEN you hear it after, but if Speed of Sound is disabled in War Thunder we can hear supersonic objects instantaneously.
I have it turned on, because u can locate tanks better.

For real, anything to inprove audio locating. This "that isn't real though" bruh the game isnt a sim in RB. Its pretty close but not a full sim.
Just like I feel like all players should be forced to use the gunner sight.
@@jercki72 Ironically, if it were a sim game, hearing the bullets early wouldn’t even be an advantage, because if you’re close enough to hear your enemy’s guns, then you’re also too close to react.
y'know how in real life, when an airliner flies high above your head, you hear their sound from an earlier part of the sky than they are now, I think that's what gaijin is trying to do with that Speed of Sound setting lmao but they are doing it like all wrong in usual gaijin fashion

@@hemendraravi4787 its not from ddos its from their shitty rushed codding just like the last major update when they fucked up the hud and you dint know how fast you were going or how high you were unless you looked at the gauges in the cockpit at this point its almost a guarantee that there will be a day after patch for ever major update that disables features in the update till they can fix it

Most welcome addition to the Swedish tech tree and besides, we're players in the Swedish tech tree, give us an uncompetitive vehicle and we'll shoot it up in BR and repair cost like J35D, still sitting at 10.7 with no countermeasures and incredibly unreliable Rb24J. Another reason to get it - it'll be followed by Finnish F-18s, then Finnish F-35
Definitely one of THE Migs in the entire game I'd say.

Thank you so much for your tutorial videos. Thanks to what I've learned from them, I was able to take down a Premium 9.0 Mig-21 who was murdering my team, in my 7.7 tech tree .50Cal Saber, and successfully energy trap 3 more players who were in faster jets later the same match.

I know most of you are not excited about this plane, but I am, as I only have grinded Sweden and I’m 10.7 now. I always wanted to fly a Fishbed, and the Finnish is truly a good way to play it imo

I feel like this would have been an interesting grind if it weren't for it's placement in the tech tree.
I've got the Viggen and grinding it as a development of the J-35D would have been a piece of cake.
But Gayjin chose otherwise.
its not that bad there are only a few planes in front of it unlike the major nations but then again i have well over 500 vehicles spaded and not one penny spent on the game in 6+ years playing

The Finnish Airforce did test AIM-9Es on couple of experimental MIG-21s. Maybe we could see those in the future.

Do you have absolutely any tips on the F2G-1 because I am incapable of getting away from or killing anyone. It cant turn at all, cant even do a barrel roll half the time.
This is the most interesting vehicle in this update and that's because it has a cool camo and because I didn't know Finland purchased soviet equipment.
they SHOULD have a mig21f because they were operated, and it would fill the place of the borderline useless hunter clone with aim9bs
Interestingly, Finland actually got MiG-21s before even the Soviets Union’s allies. The Soviets’ offered Finland a special deal on their latest fighter jet to improve their relations and increase their influence.
@@Tom-jw7ii really tho, it was also because the soviets realized that Finnish Airforce consisted of a couple of dozen outdated vampires and gnats and didn’t have any means or intention on blocking US spy plane and possible bomber overflights. Then they sent a message to Finland that you will buy these new planes from us, and that’s what happened. It was an offer that couldn’t be refused. 🤌
When you're chasing somebody at the same high speed, you're catching his sound before it has time to dissipate. So it should sound very close.

14:38 Listen carefully, the sound is unmodified other than the location being far back. I understand if it at least sounded different (dissipated), but it sounds like all they changed was the location of the sound source.

i dont think these are even going to be remotely or nearly as good as the A and D. only the dutch one would be remotely useful as it had countermeasures. even that not so much as j35D can dodge any missile in the game comfortably without loosing speed at all.
A is the lightest j35 of all. D is the strongest power to weight j35.

in fact any other j35 would probably be off far worse, doesnt matter here if it gets radar missiles or smth. the only j35 that is capable of keeping up with j7E and mirage 2000 is the 35A.
all future j35 modifications past the A pretty much just keep getting heavier and heavier. making them more and more inferior. the 35d is just barely able to keep up with some jets in regards of raw turning already, simply due to the fact that its CoM is fucked from the better engine and the dumb 4th gearleg at the back. also making it compress more past 900kph kek.

@@prantz3052 thats odd. i did some research from the wiki. not war thunder wiki, actual wiki. even countermeasure research etc. and according to the wiki the dutch j35 was the only one which ever had countermeasures.

In typical Gaijin fashion it has both a broken laser guidance pod and no pl2 missiles. Also no cm even though it had them historically :))

How does one get good at aiming in general? I seriously suck at it in every game
I noticed the R-60 goes for flares even when the target is afterburning. Sometimes they go for missiles too. If I could take 6 r-13m1s if I would. Range is also much more important.
I still think the Bis is more reliable than the 23-M. It feels more responsive and more flares
R-24T would like to have a word
rate fighters tend to be more stiff because of retention, deltas are very responsive at the cost of energy loss

this has to be one of the worst patches i have ever experienced, all my controls were broken, the sound is broken, questionable premiums, copy-paste additions, no new top tier jets or balance for top-tier. the only new thing was the flame tanks. good job gaijin
R13m1 is like the second most flare resistant missile, after the aim9L, in the game I reckon
Nope, the R530E has flare resistance that is perhaps on par with the 9L

Cuz when u get those you get the 0.3 BR bump to 11.3
for me everytime someone crits an enemy, their crit sound always pop up, it's really annoying

I played the German Mig-21bis SAU recently and it was a pain until i reached the R60MK and after that it was at least funny from time to time. But before that i had many times, where i Just thought: Fuck it and buy the modules.
What does Reinforced flares do?
reinforced flares shoots 2 flares out instea dof one , if the plane uses 2 flares i think it will shoot 4 with reinforced flares selected

*Not gonna lie, this update has to be one of the most boring updates in the history of War Thunder*
It's not a really bad update, as in, game balance breaking, "Drone Age" bad, it actually does a lot right: Swedish tree boost, a ton of needed AA, new Abrams and such ... but it's just so darn lackluster in terms of actually, genuine, new and unique vehicles. And there I was thinking I couldn't get any more copy+paste after Israel and China

I like flying my f5-e and fgr2 and all, but this battle rating is just not fun enough in 80% of games.. the best air games seem to take place around 7.0, 7.7, where the climbing is fast-ish but the fights last longer and have some epic moments.
Top tier turns into bottom tier, most of your game time is spent in queue, map loading, climbing and positioning and almost nothing on the fighting part (if you track all of the minutes that you play in a session).
One day they are gunna add aim-9ms, and then xs, and then amrams and the game will literally be climb for 10 sec, shoot, die or live and other team dies, game over in 30 sec..
I literally get more dogfighting out of DCS in ranked multiplayer servers than top tier war thunder now.
i dont have top tier but 10-11.3 is easy noob fest. the sweatiest players ive found are always in 3.0-5.7. due to the skill level i have, i can hardly compete in most games at that br (tho its where i play anyway). ive barely touched 7.0, i skipped rihht past it, so thanks for the suggestion, ill try it iut now! gonna be some stock grind for a while tho!
Disappointing considering that (I believe, but correct me if I'm wrong) there's a Finnish MiG they modified to carry things like Magics and Aim-9s.

Chaff is a radar counter measure.
Flares are an IR/heat seeker counter measure.
You seem to use the terms interchangably.
R13M would be radar only? so saying it works against flare should be normal its radar only.
Not really sure though.
R-13Ms are IR missiles, maybe that clears it up
Hmm wait I see what you are confused about. Defyn was talking about how annoying it is to have to drop flares and chaff together, having to waste chaff on IR missiles when you only want to use flares and waste flares on SARH missiles when you only want to use the chaff.

The 21bis has noticeably better acceleration and r13ms are worth it. I do think 10.3 is low tho.
smt is less agile cuz of the additional fuel tank in the spine

The MiG 21 MF and SMT are pretty good at their br. The BIS and SAU not so much. This one will suffer same as them.
