- Today we take a look at Roger Bullivant Limited, RB Walton Park, Hearthcote Road, Swadlincote DE11 9DU.
We speak to security who spot us filming from the public footpath who ask us to inform reception which we did.
On the way back to the public footpath we are called back and spoken to by Tim who asks us not to fly the drone over.
We show him the Drone Code and try to reassure him that it's all legal but we fail to agree.
After flying the drone, Tim comes out to speak to us again and informs us that the Police have been called.
He asks us to wait so we use this time to highlight the Illegal Number Plate, Obstruction of the Footpath, No Number Plate On Display on a Trailer, GDPR Issue by not providing a method to make Subject Access Request.
Just before we leave, Megan from Marketing comes out to try and save the day.

Hope Tim has done a risk assessment on every plane that flies over. A 777 is going to mess up his yard a hell of a lot more than a 249g drone if it comes down.

Oh god! He was just like my mates Dad when we were 18. He was a Risk Assessor and he would give us all a hour talk before going out on the piss. He would even check out the pubs the day before and check where the fire exits were etc.

I love it how you pick out illegal number plates. As a MOT tester who used to work in that area I MAY have tested that car you pointed out. It’s a big bug bear of mine because I stick to the rules and fail the cars that have illegal number plates. But obviously they replace the plates and the police do nothing. It’s very disheartening.

The fire-service turned up in full gear and controlled it; couldn't see because of the steam from the furnace basement and burning cables). They deserved 10x their wage, controlled it and deserved medals.

Another remarkable audit from DJ. This was more like a soap opera than an audit - full of twists and turns and an array of interesting characters and situations. The chap in the blue shirt (Tim) raised some valid points (6:55 onwards).
at 20:26 it does sound more like "WHAT are you doing". At 20:40 Tim gets told off like a naughty school child !
The interaction was brilliant and 'edge of seat' material. The cat and mouse stealth videoing was superb.

I would say she used her charm and acted slightly naive to attempt this. This perhaps slowed down DJ as he had to explain things, but by 34:30 he had turned the tables and she was soon on the retreat.

As much as the guy didn't know a lot about Drones and was very paranoid, I do think he was as reasonable as he could be and did explain himself quite well. I guess his job has made him very paranoid in these areas. You did well at addressing his issues and handled it so well DJ. I love how you handle yourself.

Just like you King, I was thinking that Tim (nice but dim) was looking after the interests of the company in that first interaction and I was going to say he did reasonably ok. Until, I read there was a second interaction. Which I've just watched. What a prat. His feelings and ego were hurt because you weren't doing exactly as he requested but instead you politely advised him that you were going to go outside and carry on with your lawful activity. He proved himself to be a snake in the grass , sure it wasn't him that made the decision to call the police, notice the way he grimaced when that guy recognised you. And became a little more humble with his replies, up to that point he was all "of course", "I know", cos lest you didn't know he is a very important man on this site and knows a lot. Well Timmy you need to learn to swallow your pride and slither off back into your office and eat some humble pie. What a prat he turned out to be.
