I get the feeling, I go to Mexico on vacation when I was young due to me being born from Mexican parents, and they broadcast really good animated content in México that gain more popularity there than in the United States, it also applies the Latin American feeds of USA channels, and they don’t suffocate too much repetition, it’s pretty balanced.
A lot of it is mostly American made shows that have been dubbed in Latin America Spanish, but Canadian made content that have also been dubbed there as well got it’s fair share treatment.

And while I'm not saying Canadian cartoons are the best (in my opinion, any good cartoon from anywhere is awesome), or were never bad (which is definitely not true) I'm saying it's an unfair bias that really needs to be looked over.

I just discovered your video. Born, raised and still living in Ontario and you brought back a lot of memories for me.
I was 10 when Teletoon first aired. Channel 45, a countdown
Timer to when it would officialy start broadcasting. I watched lots of Teletoon, YTV and TVO.
I loved The Raccoons, ReBoot, For Better or Worse, Ned’s Newt and Cybersix.
I remember watching Teletoon’s late night shows as a kid with those creepy animations before hand.. they really were creepy as all hell… so we’re a lot of the cartoons from the National
Film Board program on TVO (at least they were creepy and a bit scary to me at the time ).
The Zone on YTV was my after school jam with Sugar and Carlos and then just Carlos. Always remembered Sugar for her unique voice. They were both cool.

I loved Stickin Around growing up, and when i went to school for animation a couple years back, my character design teacher was actually one of the animators for it. He said he hated working on it cause the director was such a stickler (pun intended) for perfection. He'd draw a frame, and be told it was too clean, only to redraw it and be told it was too messy.

Living in Toronto at the years 2008-Current, YTV was GOLD At the early 2010’s for Canada, I also grew up watching Treehouse, who remembers Toopy & Binoo? Anyone? Nowadays it’s Nick jr shows only and Splash a Boots, I have a little brother that still watches Treehouse nowadays. But YTV was my CHILDHOOD. Shows like Kid vs Kat, Scaredy Squirrel, Spongebob, Wayside, Sidekick, GOLD for YTV at the times. Now I’m watching this in 2020 and I miss the old YTV, I still watch it to this day because I’m 12 but the Shows are now The Loud House, still Spongebob, Go Away Unicorn, Cloudy & The Chance of Meatballs, Chuck’s Choice, and some movies. I also miss Carlos being on the zone A LOT. Now it’s Spencer, Jesse, Suki (oh wait he left October 26, 2019. Aw I’m gonna miss him, no wonder I don’t see him on the show anymore), Tyra, Meisha (oh wait she left too at March 22 2020). Teletoon, I never watch Teletoon nowadays but there’s some shows I used to watch, one is embarrassing, I used to watch Johnny Test. Well that’s all.

This explains where all the cartoons we had on sky tv in the UK but nobody remembered what they were; as they faded into obscurity.
When Cartoon Network started on sky tv in the UK (so its premier) it didn't have any original cartoons and showed existing shows and hannah barberra cartoons. The existing shows it started with were: The Moomins, The Racoons, the Adventures of Binky Bill and Tabiyooga the Dragon.
But I always loved the Racoons when it came on tv, imo it was the best show next to the Moomins. I don't know why but it had that perfect balance of heroism and cool music for the time ^^
