This movie was great I cried when the actual rescue happened it bright tears to my eyes but millions of good people saved her and those rescuers are real hero's.

The sad part was in the end no one was there to save the hero of this story. The Paramedic who pulled out of the well. Paramedic Robert O'Donnell took his live in 1995 after suffing from years of PSTD.

I used to believe the story happened as was shown on tv. I watched the actual footage again as an adult with a skill used in the rescue and i now rethink things. Lets start w how was a 17 month old playing hide n seek in the back yard. Now, where im an expert....it took a crew of men using a truck mounted drill with an auger 50 hours to get to 22 feet? Sorry, but i drill piers using an auger mounted on a bobcat that are 12 ft deep and it literally takes 10 minutes, tops. No matter the ground, 22 ft would take ballpark 30 minutes using that equipment. So the 50 hours is definetly a lie. Then i noticed the guy that comes out of the hole w her. He is perfectly clean and even has a hat on, sorry u go into a tunnel, u are coming out dirty, period. Remember as well, this story is what launched and made CNN. I believe there 2as an accident and a rescue, i just believe it was made within hours and it was then played out for the tv crew....

I had just turned 7 a couple of months before this happened, My parents and my parents and myself were living in San Antonio Texas at the time and this was the first major news story that old enough to be aware of. I remember how sad it was to see this story unfolding. I am so glad that that survived!

I was 10 at the time too. And I have a younger sister who was the same age as Jessica at the time. It kinda messed with my head a bit.

I have absolutely no idea why I watched this movie as a kid given that I live in the uk and wasn't born until 6 years after this movie was made but, I randomly remembered this scene today and had to search to find out if it actually existed.... God bless the internet..

That crying was heartrending though... Made me appreciate the rescuers as they were dealing with it there and then and it must have broke their hearts to hear her cry but know they have no choice but to pull her out whatever the cost and pain. And pretty thankful the adult Jessica couldn't remember anything.

I was very little (4) when l first watched the movie but later on it traumatized me. I had to keep telling myself the real Jessica was fine and the same age as me (l was 11 then).
I am from Algeria, same thing happened here from few days, wasen’t a little baby but a 35 years old man hé was trapped for 9 days !!!!
Hé died after 2 and a half day.
So sorry for him, all over the country every body following this, but very sad ending
I'm from Brazil and I'm too sad for what happened in your country, specially to this man who had so much terrible death, I can imagine how the whole country can be united praying for such a cause. This type of stories make me being emotional.

Well for anyone who wants to know, Jessica has no memory of the incident, a scar on her forehead and she's missing two toes, which considering the lack of circulation in her leg from the position she was in (a split. One leg dangling down, the other up at her head), is pretty damn good.
Also she got a lot of money from a trust fund when she came of age, which made me ask my mother why she didn't let me fall down a well.
OMG! How are they filming this with a toddler?! Is children services in Hollywood are in on those kind of scenes which are often in other movies? What about the parents? Can't be good for a baby or toddler to scare them to cry ...? 🤔.

That happened to me 8 years and 1 month ago I was looking for a well casing it busted I fell 45 feet into 10 feet of water january 8th 2013 and was trapped in there for 90 minutes you can look it up under shelton man falls in well or look up clinton heinis

I live in midland and they had hit solid rock which takes longer and the equipment they were using really isn’t meant for horizontal drilling which they had to do to reach the other well and they were also being careful to not make make too many vibrations which would hurt her even more
The equipment u use now is not the same as what they had 34yrs ago & my grandparents lived in the house behind & we witnessed every second of the rescue, I assure u this was not staged for tv ...what is wrong with people with all this wild conspiracy theories?? I get your distrust of social media, & I do believe they manipulate facts in order to control the narrative however I don't think any of that started until the start of the internet & social media became such a huge platform & way of people getting the news because that's what created other need for all the numerous other networks & competition because it enabled anybody with a camera & an internet connection to become a "journalist/reporter". Which has proven to be dangerous in the type of world were living in nowadays because people are so easily manipulated & tend to let go of any rational common sense & in some cases seem to lose human decency & moral integrity - like in the 9/11 conspiracy theories & the worst imo are those that say Sandy Hook never happened & accuse the parents of the 24 babies that were shot & killed of being actors & that their kids never existed. Caused 2 parents to take their own lives..That made me so sick & disgusted & those who believe that outta be ashamed of themselves.
In real life they had to drill sideways which is why it took so long to get her out

@@stevelawson7595 Unfortunately, he did. The fame got to be more than he could bear. He actually made an appearance in this movie, as a reporter, but they left his scene on the cutting room floor. Talk about a letdown, among so many others.
