Hope when these policemen go home everyday to their families that they reflect how an innocent woman was crippled and sccared because of their cowardlyness. Women who live in this community are unsafe.
Sadly CJ grew up to be a very troubled man. He's served a seven year prison sentence as a result of a third degree assault against an ex-girlfriend and violation of probation. The sentence followed several years of crimes that included handgun and drug possession, and stealing $22,000 in gambling proceeds from a family friend.
My heart breaks for Cj for what he was born into and his poor mother that did everything she could to get her and her son away from crazy psycho Buck, it’s no shocker how Cj turned out, that had to be so traumatizing back in the day when it took place.
Domestic violence used to be considered “a personal matter” back in the day where police never got involved with anything involving family members or married couples...... situations like this are the reason we have laws now where cops no longer tolerate domestic violence of any kind.
Omg this has to be the godfather of these awesome made for tv movies. The guy who played buck scared me to death. I hated the ct cop who stood there watching. Her lawyer was fabulous. She actually did try to leave and get restraining orders but sadly in those days people like cops werent educated about marital rape or getting a restraining order against ur husband. I think if she left right after he hit her once he would have moved on. Buck was a pure monster.
I saw this in the 80s when it came out. I was probably in middle school. It left an impression on me. Rewatching this now I'm struck by how impressive the cast is. The actor playing Buck terrified me. Nacey McKeon is great and the main reason I watched this. Overall production value is very good for a made for TV movie. Buck had so much Mommy issues! It seems like he was abuse so much by his mother. It was very stupid of tracy to not continue to drive off, while buck still try to attack her.
Mustang Marie1 as soon as he said he didn't like women making fun of him, it should have been a rap.
Or father or possibly both parents
She’s not stupid. Don’t judge her.
It was so realistic I worried they tramatized the child actors.. Horrible sad story.
I often wonder the same thing...babies wouldn't know their behavior wasn't real...
mamiek it sure traumatized me! And knowing this is true story, makes it so much worse. Cops were and are a joke.
that poor baby
thats why people need to be careful who
they have kids with
what type of damn cops are they...
all i can say is this is why i dont date or want any thing to do with a relationship ever again
ava jerome don’t lose faith. Thankfully not all men are like this.
I hear you on that especially if you have children its scary situation
Not all men are mean I have really nice guy I been dating him for 9 months Oct 11th
I'm in agreement with you I have been single by choice due to my past relationships being abusive
Not all men are mean My new boyfriend treats me like gold
What a horrible relationship Tracy got herself into and Buck is nothing but a gambler and a woman beater.I noticed they never lock the door but, with him around he can bust it in because,he is strong and needs professional help, nutcase! Tracy would have been more safer staying in a women's shelter with her child with a restraining order.
I’m surprised she didn’t hide with her sister. It was obvious they had a trouble relationship throughout the movie but her sister would have helped her had Tracy asked for it, just getting what the movie has shown us. Buck knew where she was going when she left Florida. She should have hid somewhere where he wouldn’t have thought to look.
Dale played a good psycho in this movie
1:15 wow, I don't think I could handle a baby crying and a husband yelling at me at the same time. I would lose my sh*t.
Exceptional acting in this movie!!
The police failed to protect her and her kids - she won the civil suit (y) good for her.
He he, the blonde at the top of the stairs kinda looks like a young Meryl Streep.
Paul Horn yeah she does
Yes she does
Damn!! The law on domestic issues were SO backwards back then!!! Abuse is Abuse... Why did so many women have to pay for that!!! When any women is being beatened by a man there is an assault and possibly murder... Why doesnt law upgrade to that!! I'm Glad I live in a time when finally the law recognizes it.. Though my husband has never laid a hand on me in violence.. I'm glad there are laws now to prevent what happened to Tracy Thurman!!
THIS MAKES ME WANT TO VOMIT....THE FEAR INFLICTED ON WOMEN OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF CALLING THE COPS. TRACY THURMAN...SUCH BRAVERY AND COURAGE...I'M SO SO SORRY FOR WHAT HE DID TO YOU...GOD BLESS YOU SWEETHEART. 💜
The system realy failed her
This guy was in PET SEMETARY.
mistofoles he was in the movie Elvis and me!
Where is the complete part three? Very disappointing to not have the ending available.
That this is a true story horrifies me most.
He played his part so good in this movie!!!
Where do I start? Did you hurt her badly? Of course he did you tired old cop. That cop watched Buck kick her over and was just shaking. Just disgusted. SMH that was so appalling the way they handled her situation. They were supposed to protect and serve? They looked so clueless doing their job.
taser. best invention next to the gun
Hope when these policemen go home everyday to their families that they reflect how an innocent woman was crippled and sccared because of their cowardlyness. Women who live in this community are unsafe.
ur iset-topDale Hobbs Cowardice. I agree. Cops were, and still are a joke.
Wait what?! Wow that's crazy
My heart breaks for Cj for what he was born into and his poor mother that did everything she could to get her and her son away from crazy psycho Buck, it’s no shocker how Cj turned out, that had to be so traumatizing back in the day when it took place.
I hope CJ get a wake up call and realize he had a real good mother and a very bad father
@@vantrelllewis943 he was sentenced to 15 yrs in 2010, suspended after 7
I saw this movie on tv when I was very young and vowed never to marry a guy like this
damned cop instead of grabbing the bastard off tracy he grabs the man who is trying to get buck away from tracy
They way they picked her up like that to put her on the gurney is wrong on so many levels and she was conscious the whole time
Brittany R I thought so too.
I'm a medical professional and I'm like "where's the C-spine precautions? He just Ollied off her neck?!"
I thought the exact same thing.. they failed tracy on so many levels.. i hope this haunted each one of those cowards.
WOW - never forget how powerful and scary - Nancy was amazing in this movie !!!
That poor baby..OMG I'm so glad she survived the horrible attack from this psycho!!! Anyone going thru abuse..GET OUT NOW!!
Seems like all that kid does is scream and cry
+BRENDA WEAVER That young actor was probably scared out of his mind. No wonder he was crying...
It's not an actor, it's just a baby and babies cry lol
lucja24
Especially when being held by someone screaming "I killed your mother!" Not to mention people running around screaming and crying...
stupid you would do that to
Wouldn't you being constantly subjected to THAT!? I'd cry too
Domestic violence used to be considered “a personal matter” back in the day where police never got involved with anything involving family members or married couples...... situations like this are the reason we have laws now where cops no longer tolerate domestic violence of any kind.
That's what you called good acting. Superb.
This movie needs to be back on everyone's radar again.
Omg 😳 how horrible! The police 👮♀️ failed her miserably.
I hate some men are controlling and abusive that what happened to me my boyfriend was Controlling Jealous and he didn't let me have friends , dye my hair ,he didn't let me put on makeup , and he even tells me what not to wear and he didn't let me dance with my family and friends so i let him have it i told him either change or leave because I'm really getting tired of it. so he never did it again I'm so grateful that our relationship is strong thank god.
Jasmine Gutierrez good for you
It was 40 years ago when Tracy got stabbed and almost killed by her abusive, mentally ill ex-husband Charles Buck Thurman at her hometown of Torrington, Connecticut in 1983.
Those cops were just lousy and good for nothing! Thank God she's alive! They wait till we die and then feel bad...
Where is part 1?!
Sadly this is the way police treated domestic violence back then. It took tragedy to change kaws.
he was a total crazy man told her to shut the baby up my God datz ur child I wouldn't have moved back with him in a hotel he gambling all the money away what type of lifestyle is that but she fell for it she wanted to make it work he was crazy
The screaming that his kid lets out is annoying
C
Marian Yulo her*
Marian Yulo Probably crying for his real mom
Are you fucking serious, how can you say something so dumb
marine Yuli your annoying
I remember watching this as a child. I guess my mother was too stunned or shocked to tell me to leave the room or turn the channel. I couldn't even blink. This shit had me traumatized for about a month.
I was abused like she was with the beatings. Young and first love for me yup but I finally got the fuck outta dodge left the state with my two girls and never went back . Ain't no man worth this bull shit .if you live like this run and don't look back
Maria Yulo Do you mind me asking where you were able to go?
Marian Yulo god bless you
Dale and Nancy should have won Emmys 😁
this is definitely domestic violence the way her husband treats her
Paula Fulton You don't say?? Omg some people smdh!!
Paula Fulton
Wow...ive seen some stupid comments...but this one takes the cake!!!
This is terrible. That peace in the room where the mother and child were together, and he interrupted it. I feel so bad for her and especially for the child.
Do you have the last part?
Click on my name it should be on there
tell him if he has to take a leak take it on the lawn somebody should have went and helped her
Where's Jody Arias when you need her.
lol good one
GarwinEugene Wayne 😂😂💀
GarwinEugene Wayne lol ;-) Funny :-) :-)
GarwinEugene Wayne That's one that an abusive man would take down
Where’s Dirty Harry when all this was happening?
Oh wow, I really wanted to watch the entire show but this is all I could find. Any links appreciated.
I’m literally nauseous as I am reliving events of my own life in the early 80’s. I did not realize how much it would effect me.
So glad she survived to get her story out herself and not just wittiness statements,
@ _Kiimmig_
▪︎▪︎▪︎
It's the only part I could find as well. Frustrating!!!
😢😢😢😡😡😡😡😔😔😞😞 reminds me of what my mother went through and of course, she got no help from the police, but the are supposed to protect and serve.......smh
Where is part 3 please?
She changed how they treated domestic violence
The only decent cop there was the one holding her hand and trying to stop the bleeding
Remarkable acting!
How frightening for the little boy in this movie. Awful
