I have some SP-2500's. Very similiar, but have 12" woofers and have those two tweeters under the wave guide and no rectangular horn. I've recapped them and wired the two paper mids in series (instead of parallel). That lowered the output of the midrange which improved the overall sound, especially the bass
When I try my speakers (separate) with my main speaker cable I only get sound from the squawkers but nothing from the horns. Are all of them broken or am I doing something wrong? I started with a refoam of my woofers as shown here: czcams.com/video/2T5D3uCHWRo/video.htmlsi=rZ96WAxJyiNj_7gF
I change all capacitors on mine and all speakers are working fine now the assembly sounds amazimng
Where did you buy the capacitors?
are the capacitors the white things on the board?

The speaker crossovers probably could use a recap wouldn't hurt those are pretty old
