Breakers running smooth with tv out and two controllers for 19$?...mind blown.
Depending on the firmware version you have, you may need to close and reopen SNES to get it to run better. That bug was fixed in version 1.7 I believe. If you want to maximize performance, there is not yet full CFW but there is a modified SFW which lets you add ROMs set to load with specific additional emulator cores. It also has options to reduce screen tearing and improve audio.

The thing i ordered and was obscenelly cheap for price performance was 36s.
Sf2000 has limitations with SNES and GBA. I Don't know bout A 1,7 version but sf2000 Will BE good for NES, gameboy, arcade, SNES can go 40fps and mega drive it can not keep the 60fps on life on Mars ir cave story

I recently bought this system because of one of your early reviews (minus the 2 controllers) and it works just how you describe it on this video. But I still love it. And for the price I paid for it you can't beat it! And it also plays Sega Master System games too. A steal under $15 on sale, great screen and super comfortable to hold. Only thing is GBA / SNES is a little slow, hopefully can fix with future firmware.

20 or 30 bucks more and you get an Odin lite. Which is another sort of machine!

It may not be the best but at 20 bucks it works great. I have one and it would have been my favorite thing if I was 10-16 years ago again.
They have a more expensive model with two thumb sticks that look just like but better... this if you want to spend more money. But just to have a cool Super Nintendo controller that plays video games for 20 bucks, You can't go wrong with this and I definitely recommend buying one.

Umm, I have the grey version, but I played that B.o.B and I exp that same thing, but to solve that is simply hit select and start quit the game and restart it and it ran smooth just some games are too demanding like "mario2with the baby" and "star fox"

Thank you for this unbelieveable hint. For 11,71€ it´s literally a no brainer. Without Shipping fee to germany...hope it arrives in 10 Days. The junky dpad is maybe a upgradeable with a new cross and rubbers, if it´s so bad how you mention it.
The SNES games sometimes you have to stop and restart them once and then they work fine. GBA never works well. I wouldn't have included them and put Atari 2600 or something lower spec like that. Weird thing is it plays arcade games well but stumbles on lower spec ports of the same games. It's great for Sega fans though as master system and megadrive play really well. I got one for work because I would be very sad if I lost an expensive handheld but these are great at the price.
Hello Wicked Man, there is a bug in the firmware for the games that run anormaly slow : you just need to quit and reload the game to make them playable 😊.
Besides that I love mine as long as the cool Powkiddy V90 also for the almost same price.
V90 is almost twice the price.. not wort it really, as its so close to the R36S price.
Update your firmware to v1.71. That slowing bug in the SNES and GBA emulators got fixed.

Has anyone figured out why SNES Ken Griffey Presents game crashes when you select Season?
The other newer Ken griffey SNES game works normal. I have tried multiple sources and same thing happens each time. The crash happens in 1.71 and earlier versions as well as the beta 0.09 multi core.
i'd put a bit more money for gba a snes to be great and playable, but for now my Jailbreaked 3DS does an amazing job at playing them

Quando algum jogo fica lento, basta fechar a rom do jogo e reiniciar o mesmo jogo que por alguma razão ela funciona muito melhor. Creio ser uma falha de otimização da firmware. Eu me pergunto quanto é o preço de produção de um handheld assim para que possa ser vendido tão barato, enviado e ainda ter lucro. Gosto de jogar também ligado na tv.

is this the same thing as the data frog sf2000? theres actually a way to fix snes emulation.Just open the game then go back to the menu and open the game again and it will run just fine
You know the bug of SNES? You need to Open the game twice and version 1.4 sucks you need the 1.5 for mapping, language and such

No they all have 6k games the 10k is a lie people have checked Personally I removed most & just kept the ones I wanted for each console.

Those controllers switches had a missed opportunity for 3 players. There should have been a switch for a 3rd player for those days were you want to do multiplayer with your wife and girlfriend.
Another speaker could easily be adapted to it. The new version is very nice and improves the appearance, with the colors in the center of the buttons of the Nintendo logo.😮😮😮

@@jimbotron70 they made it run full speed in a stock Xbox. I really don't see the problem. The Xbox is about as low spec as it gets for emulation. 700mhz and 64mb of RAM.

And, I have to laugh every time I see someone review the SF2000. The reviewer reaches for the tab. It rips off. The reviewer says, "Ugg!" Then, both times I bought it, I reached for the tab, tried to rip it off and did the exact same thing, knowing full well that the tab was going to rip off.

Its amazing how far emulation has gotten, just think way back then you had to buy the actual consoles to play these games and these consoles were not cheap same goes for the games it offered, not to mention they were big and sometimes clunky especially Neo-Geo what a beast of a console that was and if you had one back in the day, you were rich....alot of us peasants had to settle with Nintendo or Sega......fast forward to 2023 now hitting 2024 and almost any 50 dollar emulation handheld can play practically everything no fuss no muss.....
Its truly scary if you think about it.....if i had one of these things when i was a kid....my mind would explode, i would not be able to even process how such a feat was accomplished.....my response would be this is 👽 technology.....like there is no freaking way XD....

I've got one of the versions that initially came out... with an extra controller.
One thing I'll say? The SNES is strange in the fact that (with the vast majority of games it's compatible with) you need to start he game. Quit. Then restart it for it to be playable.
Another thing I've noticed... with MY unit... the 2nd controller is WORTHLESS. The simple cardinal directions with with the d-pad... but there are NO diagonals at ALL. They're NEVER worked. :\
Two controllers less than $5. 8bitdo is still getting away with selling similar items for $70 to $90.
This is just the Data Frog, right? There are no improvements to the hardware, I presume. Don't get me wrong, I like mine well enough after hacking it, but the seller calling it the "Pro Deluxe" is wishful thinking at best and false advertising at worst.

I had the same question. I just ordered to cheapest option with OG colors and saw this video like "fffffff" They should have called it *action set* or something "pro" sounds like it has more RAM or better screen.
DataFrog's advertising are still calling it a dual core SoC...highly unlikely it has been upgraded...here's the research data again from half a year ago... "the community has determined that it's a HCSEMI B210, a single-core MIPS processor running at 810 MHz"...etc...apparently one slight improvement has been since discovered...with latest Firmware 900MHz is possible...wow...FX chip games on SFC will run 2 FPS faster...that'll help...not.......the Custom Firmware we've all eagerly been waiting for is still not close and may never occur...the few hackers that have played with the coding know it's doubtful a complete working FW will happen...the chipset is too dissimilar to existing hardware
SNES: close the game, open again and it becomes ‘playable’. Not 100% but playable 😉
