So I’ve bought kida, and Meg because they really really called to me and a kida doll was unlikely to happen again. It was ridiculously priced in Australia but those two I just had to.
Then the purple jasmine dropped and I fell in love with her. Then Merida was still up and I just loved her dress.
I hate myself for buying so many when they were 215 then with the price change they are 275 which is just screwed.
I will still be getting Mulan, thank god for afterpay for me tbh. I saw the photos and just my jaw dropped seeing her even in just photos.
It’s the domino effect, it happens to everyone.
I'm sad we haven't gotten Limited Edition dolls for Raya or Mirabel. I don't collect LE's but I would have gotten one of Mirabel.
I know! I think they used all the resources on Esmeralda and Kida in 2021.
@@MiaArianaMia I know! and it makes no sense! They couldn't get LE dolls but Live Action Ariel could? and 2022 was full of characters who have had dozens of LEs. I'll buy that maybe Raya isn't popular enough to justify making an LE, but Mirabel? Encanto merch has been in stores for the past 2 years. Why won't Disney tap into the market and make an LE of Mirabel?
Update: we're getting one for Mirabel! I hope we get Raya soon tho

I’m still bummed about missing out on buying Esmeralda in 2021, I wanted to buy her, but due to health problems, I had to quit my first job.. but I hope to find her someday at a yard sale or something.
17" Kida and Meg are the reason I started collecting Disney! Their LE dolls are usually next level with the details 😍
Not a fan of the newest Little Mermaid because i feel like it didnt come with enough detail or stuff to justify the price tag... They should have had her come with an additional dress or something... They didnt even really detail her top. It was pretty close to what they releaed retail of i remember correctly... Idk, maybe its just me 😅
Same thing for me. Kida stole my heart and there just weren’t dolls of her, then Meg as she is one of my faves. Then I got the jasmine in the purple as she just blew me away. Merida happened to still be in stock so I picked her up, and I am not at all disappointed.
Did get mulan recently and she had some issues which annoyed me to heck as she was $275 in Australia and it was just unexceptable. She is beautiful though and the issues aren’t that visible from a distance.

Beautiful collection👏😍! My favorite princesses are Cinderella & Belle. I couldn't tell from the video too much what the dresses looked like on your Cinderella dolls but whichever is wearing the closest to the movie outfit would be my favorite because I don't like when they deviate too much from the original outfits 🤓 I remember buying many years ago the Belle with the dark red dress but I wasn't that thrilled with her and since I didn't want to collect these due to the expense I sold mine too 😄

i’m curious to how you personally set yourself a budget and determine what price specific dolls are for you. i know a lot of people in the doll collecting community struggle to determine the worth of a doll and struggle to set a suitable budget

My favorite princess is Tiana as well, I have the first wave of her ultimate celebration doll which was my first Disney LE doll, I wanted to get the 17inch Tiana when it came out but at the time I couldn’t justify the money but I regret not getting her all the time.
I love Megara even though she not technically a princess. I would love to get my hands on both of her limited edition dolls as well the the Hades doll. (Hades is, in my opinion, the superior Disney villian. It is his sass lol) the only other LE that I would love to have is the designer Merida. Because while Belle is my all time favorite Princess I am not a fan of any of her dolls.
My dream doll is the 60th aniversary Briar Rose doll but such and expensive doll isn't possible i would also love to have the saks fifth avenue Cinderella but if I could have even more my favourite Snow White doll is the rags which is part of the collection of the Briar Rose one and the final piece of the collection is my second favourite Cinderella doll (my first is the one listed above ) the Cinderella rags doll which portrays her in her work ware!
