House of the Dragon is not the only Game of Thrones prequel series we are getting from HBO and George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, and Fire & Blood.
In addition to House of the Dragon season 2, HBO is also developing a Game of Thrones Prequel Series about Aegon the Conqueror Targaryen and his conquest, known as Aegon’s Conquest.
Like House of the Dragon, this Game of Thrones Prequel show will also focus on House Targaryen.
Aegon’s Conquest, a prequel to both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon, will tell the story of the Targaryens’ conquest of Westeros. The story follows Aegon I Targaryen, known as Aegon the Conqueror and Aegon the Dragon, the founder and first king of the Targaryen dynasty on the Iron Throne, who conquered Westeros and united the realm with three great Targaryen dragons: Balerion, Vhagar, and Meraxes, as well as with his sisters, Rhaenys and Visenya Targaryen.

Yeah, In the shows cannon anyway, in the book’s Jon’s still lord commander Snow as his parentage is still unknown, Daenerys is still alive and has just flown Drogon into the great grass sea of the Dothraki and Rhaegar's son Aegon has invaded Westeros via the storm lands with the Golden Company and preparing to siege Stormsend

We won’t get one of Roberts rebellion until either the books are finished, because what happens in the rebellion will spoil unknown book plots, or GRRM dies and they buy the rights to make it

If Aegon's ( and Rhaenys' and Visenya's) Conquest teaches us nothing else, it teaches that united Targaryens are unspeakably powerful. Which makes Jon (the last known living legitimate male Targaryen) killing Daenerys (the last known living legitimate female Targaryen) even more disappointing and tragic.
True, and the crazy thing is the Targaryens were considered a minor family in Valyria before the doom. I wonder how powerful the strongest houses in the freehold were

@@Dinoo730 yeah they heard the rhoynar eliminated three dragons and got a little cocky, so the Valyrians sent 300 dragons to make sure there wasn’t a repeat of that incident. I guess the most powerful dragon lord families had the most dragons, the most powerful dragons, were the wealthiest, and had the most dragon riders

A preque about aegons conquest sounds great imo if done well. I’d like to see how Aegon the conqueror and his sisters took the Targaryens from dragonstone to rulers of 7 kingdoms (besides dorne)

One interesting thing I caught in the Fire & Blood audiobook is Aegon the Conqueror receiving a letter from rebelled Martell's Dorne upon which he, visibly sad, finally agreed for Done to be separated kingdom and to have peace, but why? Aegon was furious because the Dornish killed his sister-wife and her dragon, he was burning down cities left and right, why agree to peace? Even before his sister's death, he wanted to conquer all Seven Kingdoms. What was inside that letter? I think I know.. His sister-wife and her dragon were brought down by an arrow through the dragon's eye, they died and Aegon the Conqueror unleashed all Targaryen's might upon them and swore not to stop until all of them are ashes, but then he abruptly stopped after reading a letter from Martells.
My theory is that his sister-wife survived the fall and the Martell's demanded Aegon to stop burning Dorne or they will torture her.
