I'm broke. Haven't been on holiday for years but for 51 minutes, I was on the holiday of my life. Thank you Harry!
Well, that makes two of us 🤷🏼♂️💸
@@kasperkjrsgaard1447 let's plan a road trip!
Exactly my thoughts. Can't go touring anymore due to age etc but thoroughly enjoyed the trip with Harry 😊
@@ThegalacticusShowit's not the same in a Volvo V60 alas. Road trip for brokies sounds fun though. Old MX5 et al, got to be done.
Any chance of a trip to Balmoral with the Rolls o
r at least a fish supper in the lake District
The Countach still looks like an alien spaceship, even after 50 years. R.I.P. Marcello Gandini
And as suitable for humans...
Gandini died?😢 noooo
The start to the Tom cruise film Rain main, when the Lamborghinis are being unloaded from the container ship, and they are being craned onto the dock, they really do look like flying spaceships.
I was so sad to hear Marcello Gandini had passed away, but his cars will live on for years to come.
@@ceedoubleyou When I heard the news I felt the same as when I heard that Ennio Morricone had passed away. A man whose deeds are greater than his life never dies. Condolences to family and friends.
I bet Ian Tyrrell is smiling at seeing the Countach out in the wild.
Probably got his fingers crossed too ! Lol.
He’s on the naughty step for not sorting the clutch on the Testarossa 😊
@@royd72 Did he do the clutch? The footage in the video seems to suggest he didn't.
@@mrdainase pass, was tongue in cheek 👍
@@royd72 Appreciate that, but some will take it verbatim and think he did a bad job when he didn't do the work.
Amazing! Harry is living the life we all want and he is taking us with him... all done in a very humble and respectful way.
Perfectly summarised.
51 minutes! We are living in the blessed age of Harry's Garage 🙏🏻
Totally agreed. Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
I can’t wait to watch this one. As soon as I get enough free time. Harry have you got any vids on the 997.2 PDK C2S or similar?
I love these videos with Harry pulling out his well-used map. When Harry mentioned the Jag became part of the fleet 10 years ago, it really put into perspective how long I've been a fan of this channel. I've enjoyed every adventure.
my exact thoughts
REST IN PEACE to MARCELLO GANDINI the man who created the design for the Countach sadly passed away last week genius he was thank you Harry for this awesome video its a great tribute xxx
Maybe the Testarossa just knew to have a minor weep and let the Countach take the honours for this trip... The universe works in strange ways sometimes.
@@C.Fecteau-AU-MJ13 Yeah 💯 Percent Ferraris have Souls I swear lol 🤣
Anyone else clench a bit when Harry was turning left out of the hotel car park in the Countach and the front spoiler came very close to the rock wall around the 17:50 mark?
Yep! But i guess visibility once you can see a bit of the nose you also know exactly where it ends 😅
Yep. I was thinking he was thing «oh itll be fine..» fingers crossed and just winged it😂
I'm glad I am not the only one
Harry, that was just the tonic. Thank you.
Lost my mother the other week. Feeling a bit glum and I’m back in the US where I live after a trip back to the UK. Feeling a bit miserable today and your wonderful video full of excitement, positivity, amazing roads and even better cars just hit the spot.
Thank you.
Condolences for the loss of your mother. Best wishes to you and your family.
Condolences to you and your family. Hope you find some joy🙏🏻
@@JoshuaC923 thank you both. This video hit the spot. Just wonderful
In memoriam of the master Marcello Gandini. What could be better than a road trip in a Countach...
It didn't look like a pleasurable experience though. It would probably have been more fun in the Emira.
What sets Harry apart is his 'no pomp, no ceremony' account of his travels and cars. Who else will include the important tip of which chocolate bar to buy that won't drop crumbs on your seat.
Thanks Harry.
I think Clarkson did that in a Jag where he ate a few chocolate bars and found the double decker was too crumbly!
The sound of a Countach engine will alway make me smile. Thanks for bringing us along on the road trip Harry.
Here here, how can the world expect people to give up these musical gems to drive electric, soulless tripe !
4:26 and Harry gets out the good old map. Love it
That Countach is just from another world.nothing will ever match the looks - and that raw sound is just a sensation. I would love to drive one once. Strange to say that as a man in his 50s 🤷♂️ but it still is a childhood dream
Stunning design....but looks like really hard work to drive, which after an hour or two, might have me wishing for a rental car.
We're probably about the same age. Do you recall the overwhelming ecstasy as a young kid when you saw one for the first time in the metal, parked by a kerb. To this day, one of the highlights of my life 😁and served to inspire me to do well in life.
I like the way the Countach takes a few seconds to wake up. It doesn’t chime in perfectly on twelve, off the key. Got to wait for everything to reach steady state, like an animal awakening.
Every time I think of these roadtrips I always conclude a 911 is always the answer
I would prefer something more relaxing, like a classic M635CSI.
I must agree. I’ll bet the 911 on the trip was more able to enjoy those narrow roads.
After over 80 tours of Spain and Portugal it's hard to beat a TVR Safaris
Still has manual steering in that vintage. If it's a bit heavy in a corner just goose the throttle and the wheel lightens right up ;-)
My arms feel sore just from watching you steer the Countach 😮
Me to, the countach looks horrible to drive, needs power steering harry. 🇦🇺
Who needs a gym lol
Reminds me of my old Laverda Jota bike. Amazing to look at,sounded fabulous, horrible to ride.😂
You are probably the only person I know who actually drives a Contach on road trips instead of leaving it in the garage! Well done!
I wish that I knew even one person that owns a Countach!
The sound of the Countach is absolutely sublime and at any speed 🏴👍🏻
That was so enjoyable to watch. You never come across as a rich idiot showing off, and seeing cars like the Countach being used on amazing roads is superb- the NOISE! What a wonderful thing to watch Harry. Thank You.
Iberian mountain roads are an absolute joy: great views, perfect weather, good surfaces, empty roads, no speed cameras
That sounds so good it ought to be illegal 😊
Almost anywhere in Spain is fun off the beaten track. If I turn left from my place, I'm in Madrid in 45 minutes. If I turn right, I can drive beautiful mountain roads for as long as I like. I prefer to turn right....
Harry knows how to do a road trip. Fantastic roads, scenery and three great cars.
Calimoto will be wondering why their app downloads suddenly spiked around 17:15 GMT! Great recommend, Harry and another fantastic video! Bravo!
I love Calimoto, been using it for years to plan my motorcycle trips.
Same for those protein bars 😂
That project 7 sounds astonishing. Beautiful and savage :)
I love the road trip episodes! Great to see the Countach out, and love the detail about the Testarossa. The reality and dedication of running an older Ferrari. I hope to see it out in 2024. No static collection only cars here!
I was happy just to take the long way round to screwfix in my old 911 this morning 😅
Really slumming it.
I've never been into gold/bronze/magnesium wheels, but the Lambo is an absolute beauty with those fitted. Great taste Harry 👍
That's the thing. What looks hideous on some cars looks sensational on others. It's a case of matching the car to the accessories.
@@PaulFellows3430 I'm not sure I'd describe the 'wheels' as accessories, but I know what you mean.
Freshly brewed coffee, Sunday morning, and Harry releases a road trip. Hell yeah! Cheers 🙌
A big red bull in Spain; who'd've thought that!
I lost my virginity in Denia in the 80s and cycled all over Mallorca in the 90s. Living off my wits and food I found in fields. That whole route and region is in my veins and formed me. I’m going back next year in my hilux and penman trailer camping set up, to see if I can bring those days back to some degree….
Harry not boasting about low-mileage cars is why I always come back. The most deserving car owner on the planet.
Rip up your TV license, this is the best content!
*licence
'The sound track is pretty good as well' awesome !
Countach runs like clockwork. Iain must be very proud.
Took a couple of years to sort
I would hope so after the time it spent with Ian Tyrrell.
Harry’s uncanny knack of making you believe ‘you’re there’ and part of the action is on full display in this great video. What a soundtrack the Countach has - that morning start up under the hotel car park canopy was simply sublime. Thank the Lord for the ICE!
So happy I get a trip to Spain today!!! Thanks again Harry, I’ll probably never see it in person
I'd like to have a friend be "mean to me" by having him force me to drive a Countach! Great road trip.
V12 Lamborghini Countach symphony what a beautiful sound, music to my ears!! As well as being STUNNING to look a timeless design!!
Hi. I have been following this channel for a long time and the road trips are inquestionably my favourite "episodes". I truly enjoy them. Ps - both Project 7 are just amazing.
I love that Jag!
A longer than usual road trip, hence a longer than usual video and excellent viewing. It was very interesting regarding the economics of trucking the cars to Spain and the other cost involved. Harry’s videos don’t come any better than this.
Harry, as a cabrio driver who enjoys road trips, I use many different websites, maps etc but when I have used a website or app which is more directed towards bikers this has occasionally brought me in some hairy situations….narrow, single lane twisty roads. Needless to say my wife protested strongly about my preparation for the trip.
What I tend to do now is spend hours testing the route with Google street view and scanning the Internet for as many comments from folks who have done these routes and are kind enough to leave reviews somewhere on the Internet.
For me there is nothing better than driving on a mountain pass drive with the roof down on a beautiful day 😊
Harry, please keep these road trip videos rolling, it’s great to see new places and your experiences of Europe…..maybe we will bump into each other one day if your passing through Switzerland 👍🏻
Most YT car guys do a road trip with one supercar, Harry does 3….! As ever a treat from HG….
The cars, the view, the hotel rooms. Stuff of dreams! I love it.
i love Sundays with you Harry!!!!!!
I might have only been in a wee hire car but the roads on Mallorca were amazing. Left the hotel at 4am and drove to the lighthouse for sunrise and had the entire place to ourselves, didn't meet another car and that was June, stunning! Drove back down before people started coming up, went up to the watchtower, and were still back to the hotel in Alcudia in time for breakfast! Same with Sa Calobra, did that for sunset late on and again was almost empty.
Just what we needed in miserable, mizzly Britain in March - a road trip to Spain and Mallorca in three supercars. Thanks, Harry!
Awesome film. The 911 would have been my car of choice for the trip! Being a cyclist I know all those roads really well 👍🏼
I've just watched CZcams Marcus Hayes building his Mk2 1300 crossflow engine on a tight budget from his lock up garage.. a humble guy and a real petrol head. This is as much at the other side of the scale as you could imagine but both Harry and Marcus are true petrol heads at heart and equally enjoyable to follow
What a coincidence! I was in Mallorca in mid- February on some of those same roads and had a whale of a time. Flew to Palma, rented a Boxster T, started early and avoided those crowds. There was no one at the Formentor lighthouse at 9:00 in the morning. Ive uploaded three videos on my channel.
Just driven from St Ives Cornwall in my BMW 340i. I know it’s not the same but the A 30 was clear and an absolute pleasure….once we got past the roadworks😀
Never had 51 minutes feel like 10 before. Thank you!
Very special episode Uncle Harry - thank you.
Car transport ideas, man maths, hotel recommendations, app user guides... all alongside supercar views and soundtrack. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks!
PS you took me back to one of my favourite review videos; 981 Boxster GTS launch video by Evo - revs bouncing off the walls up in the hills of Mallorca
fitting tribute to the late Mr Gandini
Twose twisties on the Mallorca seem perfect for that yellow Lotus Elan of yours.
The reign in Spain falls mainly on the drivetrain. What a trip - thanks!😊
Wow I saw you all in Majorca near Pollensa parked up , I live in Ibiza and was visiting majorca with my Ducati doing the same roads. Yes with the car you're going to get held up. Even with the Motorbike the roads are very tight. You should have visited Ibiza. We have some great roads here.
Harry
Amazing, the body of the Countach, how beautifully New it looks.
The closed headlights beautifully aligned!
Sounds Great!
Loved seeing you drive it; rough! LOL
Thanks for the video. Beautiful!
Namaste!!!!
Great sound like a symphony 😎
You are officially what I would call the ultimate Idol. True petrol head, no garage queens, practical, humble, and an inspiration. Thank you Harry for the life education and may God bless you always and keep you in good health. Keep up the exceptional work.
From DB meters, to calculations on road trip efficiencies that consider the all alternatives. A geek with emotion (in the most respectful way).
Hailing you from the Philippines and get in touch if ever this part of the world.
The Countach is looking good (I am a master of understatement).
I honestly didn't want that vid to end. I'm now rejuvenated and set up for the week ahead. Thank you again Harry.
What a privilege for the locals to see the Countach out on the roads! Kudos as usual for using the cars as they were intended. Hope the Ferrari gets well soon😀
Harry, this was great. Wonderful seeing how raw the countach is to drive.
I love that Harry whips out the map every time, keeping it real!
Harry, as so many have said, being able vicariously to enjoy the weather, the roads, your excitement and the glorious cars is just such a tonic.
So thank you very much.
What a great adventure, thank you for taking us all along. The noise of the project 7 is so addictive. 😎
When the paper map gets unfolded and laid on the car…it’s gonna be a good day. Bravo Harry!
Im a long way from that part of the world and I really enjoy seeing and having you tell us about your trip through a beautiful part of Europe and I hope I get over there to see it in person before my boat comes in. You drive safe Harry and thanks.
Thanks for coming to Spain again, honored to share our roads with you and your cars, congrats!!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am in bed recovering from abdominal surgery, and this video transported me away from my pain for over fifty minutes. Never underestimate the power of a beautifully made CZcams video.
Love you cold start on the Lambo. Few stabs of the throttle to clear its throat then a lovely idle. Equally the Jag is awesome in its own way (former F Type R Owner!)
Harry's road trip videos are the greatest "living vicariously" you can have from the comfort of your humble abode. Unlike the usual "I'm a pretend big time TV presenter even though it's only on CZcams" approach of nearly all other car focused videos (Chris Harris, Johnny smith, top gear and all the others) Harry is like your best friend who just wants to share what he can get his hands on or where he can take a trip without trying to impress anybody. That humble sincerity coupled with his obvious knowledge and desire to tell interesting stories stands alone in a field of pretentious "CZcamsrs". Thank you so much Harry for being our imaginary best friend
When a Countach is your reliable alternate... What a wonderful video - took me away from the damp Cotswolds.
Did not know about Gandini! In 2024, no matter what futuristic beast of fuel and electricity you see, the Countach still cuts a figure unlike anything else. Molte grazie, Marcello!
Yes a naked snack from the co-driver always goes down very well in my experience. WELL DONE ! (to the Countach + iain T)
Next time in Spain allow some time for Madrid, some really good roads around here!
Also, as a cyclist, Calpe is an European Mecca of winter training for both pros and amateurs. If you ever venture for Col de Rates you'll see more cyclists than a major city thoroughfare - the zone is immensely popular in January - April...
Fantastic video, you really get a sense of what it must be like to drive the Countach💪
So glad you enjoyed your time in Spain. You are welcome back any time. 😊
That countach looks hard work in the twisties !
I think I’d be putting the power steering back on 😳
Amazing video harry, I have cycled on these roads in majorca. Absolutely brilliant, thank you for all your content.
Harry's childlike enthusiasm and love of these cars is so wonderful, thanks for sharing!
Stunning video footage of the countryside inside the Countach, it's like being there with you in the passenger seat.
Geeez Harry ... you lucky bugger ! i am sooo GREEN with envy
Another excellent video and so refreshing to see you actually using your cars.
What a glorious noise that V12 makes....thanks Harry! Keep the content coming. A little bit of escapism on a cold Sunday evening. 🙂
This video deserves an Emmy award for documentary roadshow feature. Just absolutely joyous and brilliant. Thank you, Harry!
Fantastic trip, great to see more roads from Spain enjoy yourself Harry.
Well done Harry & team, bringing automotive happiness and driving trip ideas to the masses.
Who takes an old countach on a road trip? Harry does! Amazing! So happy to see these cars driven!
Ear to ear the whole way! So impressive how well you put these trips together and convey the experience, what an epic watch!!
Yes! this is the kind of content i subscribe for, spring is on its way and harry is on a road trip
I can always count on you for an outstanding road trip video.
Driving the cars out and back takes 4 days and you would be pretty knackered. Irrespective of costs, that just means you get to spend 4 more days in your destination doing the things you want to do. That is a fantastic looking app too. Cheers for the vid.
Im from Alicante, its weird and amazing to see those legends on wheels on the Torremanzanas roads, epic trip
Keep the interior of Alicante province a secret! Not only are the roads great, but so is the scenery and hospitality.
Approaching Cap de Formentor at Mallorca in a Countach 😂. It seems that you didn't meet a Coach with visitors. Then it would be going in reverse for a while..😉. Great ride! Lovely to see my beloved island again.
Wow, what a great trip in a beautiful part of the world.
The shots back from the Jaaaaag at the moving Countach are breath taking!
Brilliant episode, one of my favourite parts was when Harry is giving tips on packing the Countach, and said if you have a Countach this is how you do it, or words to that effect, as if anyone watching is likely to own one. 😂 I loved watching that trip though, magnificent content, well done Harry.
38:40 that map stop by the bay is very close to my house! I was there in February too. I'm pleased you made it to Mallorca, there are great roads there in the interior too, not just the famous ones in the mountains, but more fun in an Elan than an Countach I'd think.
