Weyz Sustainer Problem

  • This sustainer does not seem to have comparable functionality to the real thing.
Weyz did try and resolve the problems I was having, there is a small white dial on the board that you can turn to eliminate the feedback noise when you turn the sustainer on, but ultimately, none of the functionality issues have been resolved.
It seems that the sustainer driver is not meant to function as a pickup itself, and what the 3-way switch is meant to do is a mystery.
I gave up on this and threw it in the bin, as it cost me money to buy it, and then it cost me hours and hours of troubleshooting it, to no avail.

Initially, I had the same problem as it picks up only certain notes for sustain and some mode just not working. One thing I tried is to adjust the pickup height and bring both neck and bridge pickup closer to the string. After that things improved a lot, both the clarity and sensitivity of the notes are picked up nicely.

The slanted position of your neck pickup could probably be a big problem, as Sustainiac Stealth Pro website displays.

I am facing the same problems as you describing here. I have installed Veyz Sustainer in an Ibanez Prestige RG470 DX guitar. The harmonic mode is totally non functional, but yield grunging and squealing noises. Could not sove thes issues with so many experiments. Prior to this I installed Sustainiac Stealth Pro from Maniac Music successfully in an Ibanez Jem Guitar and one of my custom (self made) guitar with grand success.

The squealing is possibly due to two factors. One is the gain on the pre amp board. Try adjust the potentiometer on the board CW. The other thing could be shielding and interference. Try shielding the pre amp board.

The sustainer and bridge wire connects (white) to the bridge position together

We had exactly the same problem! Support was unfortunately non-existent, they simply didn't reply.
Unfortunately, this all sounds pretty much like a scam when you read how many people here have the same problem.
    Therefore: Hands off!

I had one of these too. Didn’t work properly. Definitely avoid buying one.

Hi, did you end up finding a fix for this issue? My guitar is getting this installed and I think this is what's causing the techs some issues.

no, I gave up on it and I'm keeping it in case I ever find energy to try and install this on another guitar. As far as I could tell, the only way to "tune" this a bit is by turning the small white piece with the screwdriver, until the feedback is gone... but generally ,it just does not seem to work as expected , and the guy quickly gave up trying to resolve the issues I had, after I tried some things he provided that he keeps prepared ... he does not seem to speak english either

I have one of these but with different problems. It only sustains the 123 strings and the harmonic mode totally doesn't work

I run into the same issue. However, the seller pointed me to the write potentiometer on the amplifier board itself. He says that if you get this super loud squeal in harmonic mode, the gain of the mini amp is too high. With a screwdriver you should be able to adjust this up to the appropriate level. He describes it in the following way: turn on harmonic mode, then turn the screwdriver until that sound is gone while dampening the strings. That should then be the right gain level. I still need to test this for myself, but will come back here to mention if it worked.

it removes the feedback squeal but solves nothing else
