    Thank you VM! Your videos are so helpful! I am hooked! Do you suggest taking Academy? That would speed up progress? How many listing you need to have for a constant monthly sales? How did you organize your day even with full time job so you could make all those listings fast? I think this is the key for winning. ;-)

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Před 2 lety +1

      I think the Success Academy is a great option if you are having trouble finding a way to organize your time and know what to do next, that's literally the biggest thing I got out of the course. He walks you through what to do, how to batch your time, what to focus on etc.
      I was able to grow fast by like I said in this video, finding a winning design style and then making tons of new listings with it. If you have one cute design style, then every niche you find just takes a few moments to make a new design for!

    Great and very useful video Cassiy. Thank you! I’m curious if you have had just as many sweatshirt sales in summer and spring as the rest of the year. I live in a generally warm climate, so it’s hard floor me to imagine.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Mary! So glad you enjoyed it! Summer not as many sweatshirts unless you are selling like camping/trip themed sweatshirts. So if its summer specific clothing, maybe leave it off, but in the cooler climates, people usually like wearing a sweatshirt or hoodie at night in the spring/summer if it gets cooler out there. Just remember a lot of the country is in colder climates! Even long sleeve shirts are pretty popular. I am just starting to get into those!

    Cassiy, i just watched this video again. It's SUCH a great video!! Thank you!! I wanted to ask if you generally sell a full range of sizes and products in your listings? For example, onesie, toddler, youth t-shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie? I've seen a lot of people doing this and am curious if do this. As you sold so many sweatshirts, I'm wondering if those were in listings with other items or their own solo listings? Thank you again! Btw, you mentioned in your first video, doing a video going over your numbers from 2021. I would LOVE to see that video if you haven't done it already.

      I have not gone over 2021 just yet, wasn't sure if anyone was interested but I appreciate you requesting it! I will definitely look at making that soon then if you would like to see it!
      As for the multiple items in listings, NOT A CHANCE. lol Not that its bad to do it that way but that is a lot more work. I try to have my business be as automated as possible because I never know which listings are going to sell and which ones don't. So I list everything as separate listings, that way you are coming up in the search results for each item instead anyways.
      The one exception to this is when I do family listings, then I do offer baby bodysuits, toddler shirts, kids shirts etc all in one listing.

      @@CassiyJohnson YES! I would LOVE to see your 2021 stats. In fact, what would be even better, if you feel inspired to do it, is a video going all the way from the beginning through 2021. I know you already did 2020, but it's so inspiring and helpful to visually see and hear about the plane going up and up from the very beginning - if you know what I mean.
      Haha - I love your response to the full products listings. That's why I asked!! I did one like that on Printful and then got so intimidated I didn't do it again. But I really wondered if I was leaving money on the table by not doing it, esp in one of my niches. I'm about to switch over to Printify and didn't know if maybe it was easier. The problem that beginners struggle with (including me) is how to find a niche and how to break it down so that you have a chance of being found.
    Would you show in a video how this works and how you can do it without paid tools?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Před 2 lety +3

      These are great questions! I will definitely see how I can frame this in a video in the future because I don't use any paid tools currently at all. I would definitely recommend watching my 3 most profitable niches video if you haven't yet. Don't feel the need to constantly be finding new niches to try. I mainly stick to the 3 in the video I shared and then just slowly find different ways to "niche down" like find a sub category that those people would also like but there isn't as much competition for those shirts. So for mom shirts, maybe making a mom + grandma shirt, or mom + dogs shirt, mom + knitting shirts etc.
      The coolest thing about Etsy is every person has a personalized Etsy feed when they search, based on items they've looked at in the past and items that the seller may be geographically close to them. So you really do have a chance of being found in any niche. Just need to make sure you have great designs and great mockups for when they do find you !

      @CassiyJohnson  Před 2 lety +1

      So glad you enjoyed the video! I'm sure I can do some kind of video about ads but there isn't a ton to it.
      1. Find out how much profit you make on average per item
      2. Start ads for only the items you are already selling, start with whatever you are comfortable with. $5, $10, $20/day, you get to pick and they'll never spend more than that in a day!
      3. Check daily/weekly how much money you are spending per sale. Go to your Etsy ads and then click on Manage advertised listings. If you are spending $20/sale on one shirt, and you only make $8 profit per shirt, then you want to turn ads for that product off. Another shirt might only be spending $4/sale, so its a good deal!
      Hope that at least gives you a little preview in the meantime!

      I'd be happy to answer that for you! I sell my sweatshirts for $35.00, I use Printify and pay for the premium account, and I use Monster Digital to make my sweatshirts. I use the Gildan 18000 sweaters and the cost for those is $12.86 + $8.00 shipping = $20.86 for costs.
      So profit per sweatshirt is about $14.14 before Etsy fees and taxes. Printify premium gives you a discount on every item you sell from $1 - $3 per item off. It costs $29/month so its really worth it once you are selling 20-30 items per month consistently.

    How do you do group items when you're doing POD? If you're selling homemade items, then it's easy to do one listing with multiple products, but obviously that doesn't work with the POD integration.
    I made up some St. Paddy's shirts, and since PlaceIt had some St. Paddy's mockups with several people in them, I did do a photo with my main design and an alternative design in it and put a note that if you liked the alternative, it was also available for purchase.
    That was the only way I could come up with "grouping" POD stuff. (Or do mockups that contain a shirt and a mug if you're selling both.)

      @CassiyJohnson  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey congrats on getting started, I'm glad you found POD when you needed it like I did!
      1. I made my own excel document to track everything, here is a link to it for sale if you want it, it's $20 www.cassiyjohnson.com/offers/MzHSQtPx
      2. You can not get reviews on your shop unless someone bought them directly from your Etsy store
      3. You can ship to other countries but I have decided not too, I'd recommend avoiding this at first until you can do your own research on VAT fees, shipping times/costs
      4. I have all my printify orders automatically go through every morning at 10am! You have to pick either manual or automatic. If it's a custom listing that is not synced to Etsy (This is when you start the listing in etsy instead of starting it in printify) then it will show up in your "other orders" tab and you can fulfill these whenever you want.
      Hope this helps and best of luck!

      @@CassiyJohnson Thank you! One additional question - during the summer mounts, does your main mockup Sweatshirt or Tshirt? what you would recommend?

    hello! thanks for the video. great job explaing everything. just had one question? after publishing them are they automatically sent on the page for people to view and see? if not how do we do that ? im not sure how to move them to my collections, so that they even show in my store.

      Hi Marlane! After you hit publish in printify you do have to go to Etsy and click on the listing you just published and fill a few more things out! here's my tutorial video for this :) czcams.com/video/pSs0nMfRqZc/video.html

      Also, yes you can update your stock in the "Variations" section when you're editing a listing. Change the 1 to 999 and you won't have to update it again for a while! :)
