Just got all platinum relics in this game, all thanks to your video. Hangin' Out was, by far, the hardest one. Even using your video as a guide, the lower section with the hanging bars was ridiculously hard for me to get right. Crash Crush took me quite a few tries too, the level seemed easy enough to get through, but the time seemed unforgiving. On the other hand, levels I thought would be so much harder to do ended up being not so bad, like Cold Hard Crash.

I recently got all platinum relics in Crash 2. I actually learned more after I completed all purple relics in Crash 4 and got platinum easier than before
Finally got the trophy! I was really thinking the jetpack levels would be insanely hard, but ended up not being that hard. Even managed to earn a platinum relic on one of them (Rock It). Didn't think Hangin' Out was that hard either. Somes levels were tricky, but very doable, nothing hard like High Time (crash 3), where all jumps and slides had to be perfectly right, or else, no relic. Thanks for the guide! Helped a lot! S
Hangin out was a monster... I finally got it, I thought it was out of my reach but my dude I followed a couple of your strategies and I can honestly say that I'm on warp room 4 with cold hard crash and ruination left and everything else before that point is Platinum!
+Hound of Justice I had to give it a couple of tries like 10 times or so, but when I skipped the non-timer boxes at the climb part I knew that would give me platinum
This honestly ticks me off to no end. I've been playing all the Crash games for years, but it takes me ages to get even one Platinum. To see someone ace each level in one go is heartbreaking :(
You're much faster than me on almost every level, but both of my jetpack times are a full second faster. There are a couple spots you can just push through. Other than that, I'm still working on your skill level. Hangin' Out specifically has crazy specific timing.
I really don't understand how to get from Gold to Platinum. There are even some levels where i could swear i made better runs than yours and i only got gold ( example : level 25, "Spaced out", i was one piston cycle ahead 34:30). Ah well, still got that platinum trophy at least. Thanks for the video !
I've just got Spaced Out to do for the Gold Relic... so close to the Crash Bandicoot 2 platinum. I would have had the platinum already if relics wern't added in, but through perseverance and a great little guide to follow I'm getting there. Thanks RedPalmTree! : )

I got all the platinum relics in Crash 1, it was a frustrating slog through hell but your videos helped a lot! I'm just about to start doing platinums for Crash 2, just curious, would you say that Crash 1 has the hardest time trials overall, Not just The Lab and Sunset Villa? I don't think my heart can handle that much frustration again.

@@RedPalmTree Hey, just did em all, the only one that really gave me trouble was "Hangin' Out", the time for platinum is really tight and you're practically forced to damage boost through some cycles just to make it, "Bee-having" also have me some trouble until I realized that slide-jumping over and over whenever you're able to can cut about 6-7 seconds off your run.

I’ve been watching each run you’ve done individually before trying it out for myself, I have beaten you twice when it comes to obtaining the platinum relics only, and honestly I find it pretty weird how I haven’t beaten your times more since I’ve seen in some of your runs miss boxes, getting stuck, and even getting smashed and losing a lot of momentum, I’m not sure how it’s possible getting the times you are especially with the mistakes you’re making
Eden Odisho Sometimes I leave boxes because they consume more time rather than breaking them. Sometimes I leave boxes because they’re next to nitro, at the end of the level the nitro will explode with the switch and break the other boxes too. This video was also made as a tutorial for people, not an attempt to beat a world record or personal record. I want to show people that it’s not that hard to obtain the platinums

Which way do you personally think is faster? slide jumping or plain running? I feel that crash moves just a bit faster during a slide jump while holding down R2.
If you compare Dashing and slide-spinning then I think it's the same although it doesn't feel like it is. I do slide and spin when I'm on ice because that will make you go faster. But i recommend plain running over jumping tho
Can you explain a bit please how you do the slide, jump, spin and u avoid the pits in the first levels with the mushrooms?? I seem not to be able to understand how to avoid those pits. Nice runs!!!
Βαγγέλης Σπέντζος I use this method by pressing CIRCLE, X then SQUARE quickly with my thumb. To avoid the pits you have to slide and jump just before you fall off the edge
Might start doing the relics for the 2nd game after I get all the gems... i hope its more easier than the 1st one cause holy fuck Stormy Ascent was so hard to get the relic for it and finally got it a few days ago which resulted the platinum trophy for crash 1.

when in turtle wood, I'm always slowed down by the big holes with the moles, I try to do like you, but i can't jump over these holes, every time i fall in and I can't even have the gold relic because of that :( don't know how you do that? it's just slide + spin but doesn't work for me u-u (its like you have a magical spin or smth)
Still playing this. Decided to go for the relics. But forgot about the running powerup that you're supposed to get at the end of the game. And yet somehow I got gold on the first level. Imagine how long it took me do get a gold relic without the speedboost......
A lot of people didn’t know about the powerup in the trilogy because there simple was no powerup in the original crash 2, but glad to hear you found out 🙌🏼
Just wanted to point out that spamming r1 followed by a jump is indeed faster than just running. With this method most of the platinums are significantly easier.
Sorry but combine the two what ? Sliding and running ? I'm implying you're always holding R2 down at all times, that is mandatory. From what I've seen, it is better to spam short slidings than long, arched ones: my personal platinums are not epic but significantly better than the video on all courses. It is also possible to perform a "super jump" on the Polar levels: pressing L1 + X at almost the same time (there is a specific timing) will trigger a different and immense jump that can be effectively used to further optimize the run. It should also be noted that pressing square is ALWAYS slower than sliding through an enemy: never attack enemies if not necessary, try to avoid them altogether or slide through'em. There are also many other tricks: for example, on Ruination, at 25:38 it is possible to run into the tnt, move slightly towards the camera and run along the path avoiding the tnts and the monkey, effectively skipping them, although this is quite tricky to perform consistently.
2 tips to improve : going zig zag durig R2 is faster and doping The tornado spon glithc in The every climbs givs you a lot of speed ( works in crash 3 idk in The others)
Day 1 trying to get all the platinum relics after i get the last of the boxes, I'll probably just go for gold anyway because i just want the trophy but it'll be fun.
On 34:34 you are grabbing the mask, but this mask not missing after you hitted by a nitro box (34:42). And after that you pick up another mask and it turns to golden mask (34:56), that also saves your life few times (35:00 and 35:07). Is that some glitch and can it be reproduced?
2 years ago I think this was a glitch because the guy with the shield pushed me just as I was jumping and that prevented the nitro crate to damage me. I have no idea if this is still a known glitch
I failed SOOOO many times on the polar bear levels, I couldn't have beaten them without your guide, especially Totally Bear and Bear it. F*ck those levels....

Guess what I managed to do yesterday!! I did 20 out of 27 relics, most of them Gold, but 7-8 platinums.. I was just going for Platinum Trophy for the game completion. AND !! Today I wanted to finish last 7 relics and I realized, I SOMEHOW disabled autosave .......... I dont have any relic now, just game completed with 100% gems :( SO PAINFULL OMG
If you Dash with the powerup you automatically will jump farther, when you combine this with a slide-spin jump ( O -> X -> [ ] ) you will reach the edge
I didn't know what time I needed to beat to get at least gold in Ruination (25:22) So, at the time I first achieved the end of the stage, my timer was 51:17 (6 seconds faster than the video, and got platinum). I was "omg wtf I died a lot because I thought I needed to be fast" Well
I see that they did not put much difficulty to Crash 2 to obtain the platinum, in several occasions you left boxes or you had one or more failures. In the original Crash 3 a bug cost platinum, I hope that has not happened with the Crash 3 remake. PD: Sorry if I write badly, is that my English is not very good, you played very well Like
+ThePrisoner06 the times are easy but the levels are difficult and yes I made some mistakes but I had to try several times. ALSO I left some boxes on purpose next to Nitro so they break if the nitro explodes. Sometimes -1 timer boxes are better to avoid as it costs more time to get them rather than keep on running
If you break -1 crates with the slide then jump after you break it it costs no time from momentum and you get -1 second. the scary and admirable part is you could of done these runs alot better had you done that

nah warped is the worst for platinums ski craze hot coco all those they're extremelly difficult
on Crash 2 and 3, make sure you get the running shoes by beating the game before attempting as 95% of the Platinums require it

Ne ness: You need to defeat Dr Cortex to get the Running Boots power up which will allow you to sprint using R2 as Crash and Coco.

Yeah, that's how it's done, but the timing of the jump + spin is crucial. You need to be mostly off of the platform before doing it.

Might start doing the relics for the 2nd game after I get all the gems... i hope its more easier than the 1st one cause holy fuck Stormy Ascent was so hard to get the relic for it and finally got it a few days ago which resulted the platinum trophy for crash 1.

when in turtle wood, I'm always slowed down by the big holes with the moles, I try to do like you, but i can't jump over these holes, every time i fall in and I can't even have the gold relic because of that :( don't know how you do that? it's just slide + spin but doesn't work for me u-u (its like you have a magical spin or smth)
Slide at the very edge of the hole then jump, it should be good. Keep practicing :)

+FaSoNe I've had multiple Nitro glitches, especially on Spaced Out, when you got pushed with the lab assistants and their shields I didn't get damaged
Earlier today on Bee-having I jumped on a nitro that was hiding the first 1-up you see.... so yea must be some kinda bug with nitros

Still playing this. Decided to go for the relics. But forgot about the running powerup that you're supposed to get at the end of the game. And yet somehow I got gold on the first level. Imagine how long it took me do get a gold relic without the speedboost......
A lot of people didn’t know about the powerup in the trilogy because there simple was no powerup in the original crash 2, but glad to hear you found out 🙌🏼
Hah, I knew it! That's why others were getting a Gold instead of Platinum on Cold Hard Crash. You need to take the Death Route, which they did not.
Just wanted to point out that spamming r1 followed by a jump is indeed faster than just running.
With this method most of the platinums are significantly easier.

I'm implying you're always holding R2 down at all times, that is mandatory.
From what I've seen, it is better to spam short slidings than long, arched ones: my personal platinums are not epic but significantly better than the video on all courses.
It is also possible to perform a "super jump" on the Polar levels: pressing L1 + X at almost the same time (there is a specific timing) will trigger a different and immense jump that can be effectively used to further optimize the run.
It should also be noted that pressing square is ALWAYS slower than sliding through an enemy: never attack enemies if not necessary, try to avoid them altogether or slide through'em.
There are also many other tricks: for example, on Ruination, at 25:38 it is possible to run into the tnt, move slightly towards the camera and run along the path avoiding the tnts and the monkey, effectively skipping them, although this is quite tricky to perform consistently.

2 tips to improve : going zig zag durig R2 is faster and doping The tornado spon glithc in The every climbs givs you a lot of speed ( works in crash 3 idk in The others)

Day 1 trying to get all the platinum relics after i get the last of the boxes, I'll probably just go for gold anyway because i just want the trophy but it'll be fun.
On 34:34 you are grabbing the mask, but this mask not missing after you hitted by a nitro box (34:42). And after that you pick up another mask and it turns to golden mask (34:56), that also saves your life few times (35:00 and 35:07). Is that some glitch and can it be reproduced?
2 years ago I think this was a glitch because the guy with the shield pushed me just as I was jumping and that prevented the nitro crate to damage me. I have no idea if this is still a known glitch
Lol i didn't know about the running shoes so I grinded the first lvl till I got gold it was pretty fun id try it if you haven't yet

Guess what I managed to do yesterday!! I did 20 out of 27 relics, most of them Gold, but 7-8 platinums.. I was just going for Platinum Trophy for the game completion. AND !! Today I wanted to finish last 7 relics and I realized, I SOMEHOW disabled autosave .......... I dont have any relic now, just game completed with 100% gems :( SO PAINFULL OMG

Please can you explain how do you jump soo far in the first race ? Jump over the moles ?
If you Dash with the powerup you automatically will jump farther, when you combine this with a slide-spin jump ( O -> X -> [ ] ) you will reach the edge
So press these buttons (circle - x - square) as fast as possible in THIS order you will perform a slide-spin jump
I didn't know what time I needed to beat to get at least gold in Ruination (25:22)
So, at the time I first achieved the end of the stage, my timer was 51:17 (6 seconds faster than the video, and got platinum). I was "omg wtf I died a lot because I thought I needed to be fast"

The times are beatable but the levels are difficult
I see that they did not put much difficulty to Crash 2 to obtain the platinum, in several occasions you left boxes or you had one or more failures. In the original Crash 3 a bug cost platinum, I hope that has not happened with the Crash 3 remake.

+ThePrisoner06 the times are easy but the levels are difficult and yes I made some mistakes but I had to try several times. ALSO I left some boxes on purpose next to Nitro so they break if the nitro explodes. Sometimes -1 timer boxes are better to avoid as it costs more time to get them rather than keep on running
If you break -1 crates with the slide then jump after you break it it costs no time from momentum and you get -1 second. the scary and admirable part is you could of done these runs alot better had you done that
