Most people that are trashing the LEGO are those individuals that already invested into a platform such as the Ally or Steamdeck and are in other words coping. I have a desktop 4090 pc and a Legion 7i with a 4080 and now main my LEGO and dont even use my laptop anymore. Plus now i get to play all of those steam games i picked up on sale and never played.

I love the gaming hand nails because they have enough power to be a normal PC and at the same time you can plug them up to an EGPU and get laptop performance if you need it. And I'm a console player so it's nice to play PC games portable style like a switch or PSP .
Legion Go + Egpu could buy a high end pc or high end gamimg laptop
I agree. The high end pc market would shrink. There would be more potable gaming devices. Valve will deliver an advanced blueprint for highend portable pcs with steamdeck2. I personally prefer to play on steam deck with a portable monitor. Also looking forward to get a ps5 pro for high end exclusive gaming.

this is pretty late, but I know that there is a way to put steam OS on the Legion go. It’s a pretty rigorous process and you would have to split your SSD storage half for windows and the rest for steam
What's about graphics
Hand helds: enough for gaming, better portability, you can play games at least an hour until plugging in, can be used with 1080p monitors for browsing and office programs. / small screen, you must pay for the additional connection sockets and additional usb hub.
Laptops: Better gaming performance, bigger screen, more usability on heavy work loads, have more connection sockets. / can only game decently when plugged in, even in browsing powerful components eats up much of the battery not to mention about RGB features, far more expensive
Therefore my choice is desktop :)))
Well, I have a desktop with ryzen 5800x and rtx 4090 therefore i would go with a console, however if did not had a desktop pc I would prefer laptop. That is why currently, I am in the edge of selling my 3070 acer predator laptop and getting a legion go :) Do you think it is logical ?

I think the Legion Slim 5 rtx 4060 would of been a better comparison as its more closely priced to the Go

it only it's not a laptop replacement But with a keyboard and mouse! it can be a replacement. a portable monitor or a monitor if you like.
For almost same price I would prefer to buy a legion laptop with a 4060 than the legion go, I have the legion go and its not as powerful as a laptop and the price is almost the same than a mid range gaming laptop.

I'm a truck driver...so I need more portability...but my biggest issue with is having consistent internet!

I think most pc game launchers now have offline modes. Of course for your single player games and I know after installing some games, I played from Epic and Ubisoft both without internet. And Steam has offline mode too. Many cell phones now also have Hotspot you can toggle on and use your phone for internet access point if you had to, and according to your phones data plan
Does this work in most steam games? Because I often found games that has to be online in order to play
