    💬Motley Crue is another band from my formative years during a time when music was actively helping me survive life as a young teenager. They were new, different, and dark (their first album especially) and they weren’t bad to look at. 😅 I had posters of them ALL OVER my walls in the 80’s and damn proud of it. Drummers have always been a thing for me and Tommy Lee was no exception.
    I hope you all enjoy this one and onto the next!💜

  • @KaosandRiot
    @KaosandRiot Před měsícem +2

    Ahhhhhh. Takes me back to high school in the 80s and summer break. Just blazing down country roads and cruising the strip in town, blaring this song with my metal head bros!!!
    The 80s were an epic time for metal and music in general. You lived it, loved it and when I saw the Crue, Cinderella, Iron Maiden, WASP, and LA Guns in concert it was epic and leaving there you felt like you could do anything and conquer the world
    Big thank you to all of those bands who defied the odds and gave us theme music to blast in the first battle of Fallujah. A tremendous spearhead by General Mattis and his orders to crush your enemies see then driven before you and hear the laments of the soft foreign fighters who beat feet, when we rolled into south queens blasting this , everyone full of Red Bull, ripped fuel and bloody red steaks. Oohhrahh First Recon Battalion. No greater friend, no worse enemy. Needless to say we laid enough metal, bombs bullets and violent speeds aggression and surprise the foreign fighters had enough of it. Door to door house to hours, block by lock. It was glorious
    The crue would have made a force multiplier just saying KICK Ass on the wild side there. Also Prongs Snap your Fingers snap your neck
    Hooyah America, we were soldiers once and always carry memories of the bloody chaotically wild side where you were mere yards from fighters hopped up amphetanines. Screaming Alluh Ackbar. We answered kicked ass on the wild side while we tossed every bit of lethal material at them iincluding piss bottles and playboys. Laughable to hear, okay we stop now, we have never seen boobies and landing strip crotches. Hooyah America. We did it because no one would and we were crazy enough to laugh at bullets zinging over, mortars blowing off mark and UAVs finding hides we sniffed out then paid a neighborly vist with Grenade cakes

    WMOG, we WE are kindred spirits! Great job as usual! Mötley Crüe was THE party back in the 80's!!! The first time I saw them live was in 1983 (Shout At The Devil) when they opened for Ozzy on the Diary of a Madman tour in Chicago. Second time in 1985 they were headlining at the Tacoma Dome for the Theatre of Pain tour. At that show, the drum riser went up to a 90° and we ALL freaked out! Oh, and Megadeth opened, supporting their debut album Killing Is My Business... In 1987 I saw them again at the Tacoma Dome during their Girls, Girls, Girls tour. That's the show with the rotating drum kit! Not only did the kit rotate front to back, it reversed AND rotated left, right and reverse (not captured in the video). Nobody expected THAT and the WE (the audience) simply lost it and went NUTS! Whitesnake was the opening band! Then in 1990, touring the Dr. Feelgood album, I saw them at the Budokan in Tokyo, while I was stationed in Japan. There was no opening act. Again in 1997, at the SIU Arena touring their Generation Swine album, Tommy Lee did over the top Las Vegas style grand illusions (magic tricks)! That touring bill was split with, of all bands, Cheap Trick! On that night, Cheap Trick was the opening band.
    Subsequent albums, New Tattoo and Saints of Los Angles, I did NOT get to see. However, always the showman Tommy Lee, not to be out done, 'flew over the crowd by wire' to multiple percussion "kits" where he "played" such thing as grinders and hit various things with various hammers. On the other tour, he had it drum kit on a roller coaster, where he actually took 2 people from the audience, strapped them in, and took them for a ride. These two shows can be found here on CZcams. It is something to watch!
    Sorry for the wall of text. This video just triggered a bunch of memories as you can tell. Thanks again for taking the time to make these compilations!

    Ultimately I feel the best reaction example to do of Crue is Kickstart my Heart, but that might not have reaction content available.
    I like this because, while anything from Dr Feelgood might be their most technically kick ass….by that album a lot of the fun was gone with things falling apart. This was young and crazy and vibrant Crue.
    And there is probably not another band that lived as fucking crazy as these guys did.
    If reading is an interest their collective biography “The Dirt” is so powerfully good. The movie from it was fine, but the book is just a crazy and amazing read.
    No one went as far to the wild side as these guys, aside from maybe Ozzy.

    This one felt like we just showed them a really cool early 90’s Geico or Super Bowl halftime commercial;
    and they all said, ‘cool, cool, cool, see ya next week, don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe and donate’.
    Feels like they’re turning on the charm for five minutes but not one of them likes any of it enough to go out and listen to more of their songs on their own.
    If this is their 4th song in the past 4 years, they are not fans of the band or songs; so why are they even on the list if you know you have to fake it all the way through?

    Mount Rushmore of heavy metal hair bands must have Crue and Guns n Roses. Tommy Lee is a great drummer. Saw Crue in their formative years and they kicked all the ass!

    WHATS MORE AMAZING THAN TOMMY LEE SPINNING ON THE DRUMS??? Those who were at the concerts watched him down a fifth on gin right before this song.

    To anyone being honest Wildside is the greatest hair metal song of all time. It is everything the genre ever hoped to be in 4 minutes.

    After their 1st album, Shout at the Devil, this band just gave up on being a good rock band and just wrote fantasy for their adolescent fans. Saw them 2nd row at the Sportatourium, good show like a desperate band puts on. The next album: ‼️⁉️⁉️ garbage. But WonderMama will do an awesome job despite my lack of enthusiasm 😊😊

    A Motley Crue concert is a blast. I went to one with 2 diaper bags a 18th month old and a 3 year old. I've seen them 6 or 7 times. Tommy Lee the drummer always is impressive.

    My mother went to see the crue and Ozzy tour in 1984. The way she put it was that Crue blew Ozzy off the stage! And that Ozzy came out with fronsted hair, wore a moo-moo, and he sounded like shit!! Too bad Vince can't sing these days. And yeah, he is not a great singer. But, he was better back than he is now!

    Was fortunate too see them twice...had a perfect side view of the spinning drum set...he sits in an old car seat with the seat belt...one of the shows was motley and Whitesnake...Whitesnake was great...and the Crue just blew them away...the loudest band I've ever seen
