      The people who don't like it prefer whiney depressing songs. 80's knew how to cut loose and have a good time---oh, God forbid. If 80's is called "hair bands" so should Led Zeppelin. Plant and Page had bigger hair than Motley Crue. Commercial?? lol. MTV refused to even play GNR the 1st few months, then only at 4am. 80's hard rock didn't become commercial, commerce followed it when Boston had the best selling debut album ever, then Back In Black as 2nd best selling album ever, then Metal Health was 1st metal band to have a #1 album. Then GNR Appetite beat out Boston as best selling debut of all time. Money followed them bc they were freaking good. Since grunge, all I've heard is a bunch of un-melodic baritone screamers that sound like crap. Thank God the 2010's brought back the classic hard rock pre 90's sound with Greta Van Fleet, Halestorm, Battle Beast, The Sword, Ghost etc....

    I am in my 60's. While the video is "not my cup of tea", I have always loved this song! I LOVE how hard driving it is and the guitar solos. If you ask me the hype associated with Motley Crue during their heyday only ever served to overshadow what a talented band they really were.

      Truthfully, only Metallica did better than them, and they're actually "metal"....

    • @Britton_Thompson
      @Britton_Thompson Před rokem

      Y'know, I think I disagree with that actually. Seriously, would the 80s have even been "the 80s" in the first place without Motley Crue? I don't think so. Their volatility is what drove their creativity. Those 4 guys would've never even formed a band with one another without their shared debauchery binding them together. As recent decades have repeatedly demonstrated, those 4 guys have absolutely nothing in common beyond the mutual ambition to partake in the excessive rock n roll lifestyle. They essentially all hate each other on an individual level. It's impossible for those 4 to even be in the same room together without the chase of rock superstardom propelling them forward.
      The controversy swirling around them only added to their mystique because theirs was sooooo unrivaled that it set them apart from the cheap clones and wannabes they unintentionally inspired later in the decade. If Motley Crue wasn't the world's most destructive band, they would've been dismissed by fans and critics rightaway as just another Sunset Strip band trying to be the next Van Halen. Their reputation for being utterly incorrigible is what gave them their street cred amongst fans of heavier rock and metal.
      The pervasive danger surrounding Motley made them impossible to look away from, even if you wanted!

Nikki is known for saying in at least one interview that they "wanted to drink ALL the booze, do ALL the drugs and F&*K ALL the girls." Pretty much sums things up quite clearly, I think. lol

    Motley Crue was one of the wildest craziest bands ever. I’m 1987 I was 13 and this song came out along with the tour. I went with 4 boys and we all were 13. During this song a girl next to me probably 16-20 flashed me and then said go home and tell your mommy what you saw tonight. The Crue is the best. Want to really understand this band go and watch The Dirt on Netflix but remember Tommy Lee the drummer said it was fairly accurate but was actually rated G to PG compared to how their life really was.

BJ done got himself in enough trouble with this one, so PLEASE DON'T go lookin' up the UNCENSORED version!!! ;-) #Crue4Life

    Motley Crue was all about that debauchery back in those days. And this is how it was on the Sunset Strip. These bands played their shows, got loaded and hit the strip clubs. Sex, drugs and rock n roll. There is a great documentary you can find called "When Metal Ruled the Strip" It touches on all of this. I will say, as someone that has been to ten Crue concerts dating back to my first as a teenager back in the 90s, this song is always a favorite when they perform it!
