Wer mit dem Stichwort "Hausmusik" bisher nur Blockflötengewitter verband, muss schnell "Lieblingslieder" der Feuersteins hören, um auf ganz andere Gedanken und vor allem Gefühle zu kommen. "Oh Susanna" ist die versteckte Heldentat dieses Albums. Gitarren-, Banjo- und wer-weiß-was-Schüler kennen die Nummer in- und auswendig, aber trotzdem muss man sich fragen: Hat eigentlich irgendjemand diesem Song mal richtig zugehört? Guntmar Feuerstein hat, und zusammen mit den Töchtern schmettert er den Chorus, dass man fast den Schaukelstuhl auf den Holzdielen der Veranda knarzen hört.

Oi, when I was at Jordanville south state school in Melbourne Victoria, like 60 years ago, we learned songs like “on the road to Gundagai” & “wrap me up in my stockwhip & blanket, & bury me deep down below where the dingos & crows cannot get me, in the shade where the Coolibahs grow” also we were taught oh Suzanna, & oh Shenandoah, etc. & I can still remember & sing those songs today!
