That yeti has a 510 bhp TT rs 2.5 engine. It's due a wait lose of 100kg soon and a uprated 2nd gear syncro as it went during testing before castle Combe. Boss fox aka rich has done many other crazy projects ranging from a 260 bhp fabia tdi, 650 bhp r32, soon a 850 bhp R34 m spec. Also owned many r35s and soon a 400 bhp 4wd skoda citigo.

I've seen the in-car footage from that Skoda Yeti and all I'll say is that the Yeti Monster'd virtually everything on track! The comments are disabled for their video probably because they don't want to give away their secrets as to how it's been tuned or what horsepower it's putting out!

Can someone explain how there is so much pandemonium here? Do they do open track days with like 0 rules? Obviously there was some kind of drift portion, but outside of that it seemed to just be a mix of anything with open passing. Is that normal there??

Red Mitsubishi was Black Flagged at 0:25 for 'Driving like a muppet' no doubt. I've done a couple of Track Days at Castle Combe and they explain in the Driver's Briefing that they only bring the Black Flag out for that or if there's something wrong with the car that the driver may not be aware of (fluid leak for example). There doesn't appear to be anything obviously wrong with the car here!

Combe is my closest track, but honestly it's the last one I think I'd take my car.
Seems to be a magnet for morons, always seems to have too many cars on track for its size and has very little run off until you clobber a barrier.

Nah, not at all. They do proper races for all classes of vehicles all year round. They host private small track days, events etc. The Action Days are the biggest ones of the year by far
Do they do specific drifting sessions? I always thought drifting was banned.
Yes they do, a few times in the day at specific times. Non pre-agreed drifting outside of those times will get you a black flag and maybe a day ban. It's hard to tell in this video which session is what as it's all jumbled together. The drifting helps pull in and keep more people around the track. Normally when the last drift session is done the public just go home, which if you're testing a car, is probably the best time to go on as there are less people on track, and almost no one watching
Far as I could make out, only two drivers could take that corner properly... the blue Skoda, and the black bonneted drifting Nissan. No way was the Yeti stock though.

why do cars turn in so much earlier than bikes? I would think staying outside the curve then aiming toward the apex is faster. Basically out in out on a curve.
phatrides222000 cars need to make the corner as straight as possible so turn in early to keep speed whereas bikes can turn in later and then pick themselves up onto the fatter part of the tyre and then fire out as they have massive acceleration.
Isn't keeping the corner as straight as possible true for all? This way you can carry more speed.
because I imagine a lot of them are novices, or following the lines of others thinking it's the correct one. The apex is further round the corner than people expect here. You are right though

Learnt from it, and to be honest it looks a lot worse on this video than it did from the drivers seat - I don't know whether that is something I need to think about, as it didn't feel like I was gonna crash it at all, just felt wide... but this video shows just how bad it could have been!
