First Aid Kit review: âą My Medic MyFAK - Firs... - Auta a dopravnĂ prostĆedky
Ok I own my mistakes, I should have properly woven the first aid kit into the seat, then back into the bag and then back into the seat, that is the proper way to secure the Molle system.
I'm glad you said that
Some of the amazon item on your list say unavailable when you click on them, just an FYI.
Oof, from a veteran too! ;)
I have my fire extinguisher in exactly the same spot on the rear of the sport/roll bar. Easy to get to when you need it.
My TJ unfortunately caught fire on the highway once going along at 65mph, when the rear oil seal on the T-case came off, spitting oil all over the muffler and catching fire. I immediately pulled over when I saw the white cloud of smoke, and I was the only one on the highway. I pulled the fire extinguisher out, and with the adrenaline flowing, ripped the whole top of the fire extinguisher off! There I was holding a full fire extinguisher on one hand, and the top handle/pin mechanism in the other. Luckily there was a gas station where I pulled in and I used their extinguisher. It was still burning when I hit it with the extinguisher. I now carry a better quality fire extinguisher with Metal pin/handle mechanism. Also, make sure they're the serviceable type AND full. lol
Thanks for sharing! Another great example of why to carry a god quality fire extinguisher.
Hey brother, you have to weave MOLLE through the seat and the red backing itself, the weave is what makes it strong and reliable.
dude that was killing me the whole time when he didn't weave it lol
haha it was bugging me too. Through a single loop on the seat, then through one loop on the medic backing. Rinse & Repeat
I know, I know... it would have taken me 20 minutes to do it on camera.
@@TrailRecon Ok haha, i figured you would have known. Just looking out! Love the video
Just watched the video and felt the same way.
Those are good upgrades/items to have in any vehicle for sure! I really like the mounting options 67 Designs provides, makes it so easy and secure to mount phones or tablets. Thanks for sharing these
I just gotta say thank you for all the awesome videos! Inspired me to get my first jeep. Got 2019 JL with 37âs. Hope to get tent soon and get out there where you guys are!
I love seeing you make her happy. Nice work Brad. Good choices.
Very cool upgrades for the MRS
Thanks yâall for sharing
Ciao
I literally just used my extinguisher a couple days ago on my XJ. Saved my jeep, a couple burnt hoses and vacuum lines was the only damage. Great videos trail recon. Keep up the good work
Oh wow, so glad your XJ survived! You just never know when stuff like that will happen.
I'm just getting back into Jeep and I just found your channel. Great content. Subbed
Bought the Ham radio today with the amazon link you added. Thanks for great videos!
Whew! She approved. It would be pretty bad if she would give you the âAre you Kidding?â look.
LOL! Thankfully I told her what I was going to do.
Great video, great jeep, great upgrades and most of all great wife.
Keep up the great work!
Gosh, I was saying oh cool! I would love to put that in my jeep. Very clean and organized for the places you put everything. I love how you are color matching for her too.
Thanks! Gotta keep the Hella Yella theme going.
Great job Brad!!! Awesome additions and we all know......if the wife ain't happy the house ain't happy!" Your wife made me smile with her approvals!! Love the color coordination with the fire extinguisher and the Ham Radio! Looking forward to seeing you and her out wheeling in the new JL!
Happy wife, happy life! Thanks!
All that red looks so great on the yellow. Thanks for the great content!
So I was in the Marine Corp stationed at Camp Pendleton! Always admired you Corpsman for being there to help! Semper Fi!
Thank you for your service motivator! Oorha!
I picked up that 67 designs rail and it's so awesome. I got one arm with a mag mount and one with the clamp phone mount and both work great. I will definitely have to check out the first aid kit and extinguisher.
Interesting she went with the two door. I like that belt cutter, glass breaker. I got one for everyone but it's much larger and I find it all over the Jeeps when I'm doing something in them. Great item to have but if you have to call a timeout during an emergency to find it, well it's not much use. Smart man, got the wife agreeing to everything on video!
Another quality video!!! Thank you!!!
hahahahah
love the approval at the endđ
I was like đ
Great videos.
Get my JLUR in few more weeks! Yep. Hella Yella!
Great start of some things need to add.
I have my Ham license so be hard wired radio in.
Keep up with the great videos!
Hey brother. Keep up the good work. The videos are great. I appreciate the small mods as well as the larger mods and the honest opinions.
I got that same exact fire extinguisher but havenât mounted it yet. Thanks for mount bag so I get this done!
Great video for us married guys, thoughtful and well done.
Guys, go with a 5lb fire extinguisher and nothing smaller. This size will give you more time and powder. I am a firefighter and I would not use this on a fully involved vehicle fire. Like he says, get on it when the fire is small. Its a small extinguisher for a small fire. Obviously secure it to the vehicle. I see it on a regular basis where people carry an extinguisher but don't have it secured and it could kill you in a roll over or other accident. Wife approval? I know about that. Happy wife, happy life!
Great video!! You do such a great job. Thank You!
Retired Navy here. Good call on the medic bag. My son is a medic in the Air Force, he recommended it after looking at it well.
Great job Brad, it appears "House Hold 6" approves:)
Thanks for the great video, Iâm trying to gear up to get the Mojito Jeep on the trails in a couple weeks!
Thank you sooo much I'm not in a jeep, but I really like your channel for all the good ideas, driving etc. I was wondering about HAM- answered and how to hold the ipad- got it. Nice Job- ordering today!
I got NERVOUS when your wife was skeptical on the phone mount.........LOL..but you had a NICE come back with the ability to move the location point on the slider!
I guess i need to do follow up with the significant other when i get one!
Great start. I think itâs great you started with safety and emergency situations first.
Thanks for the vid, very informative. Knew you were in the Navy, not that you were a Corpsman. Thank you for your service from a US Marine.
Semper Fi
this is a must in all car... all item are safety precautious... good video....
Super thanks for sharing great add ons and easy video to enjoy too. A+ buddy
Very caring and thoughtful, Brad. Great video!
Thank you!
Very useful and thoughtful video. Thanks.
Good job, Brad. Another great video. Glad to see you are getting "wife" approval for everything you are doing. I think I need to get that Bartact fire extinguisher holder, I like it, thanks.
Thanks! Gotta keep her happy while I play with her Jeep!
Awesome video, you convinced me to pickup a 67 designs kit
Jarred May me too 67 kit is so useful
Thanks for your service! I was a MM in the Navy. USS JCS CVN-74. Just moved to Utah and looking for a good Jeep I can use to get to cool places in the mountains. Iâm just learning and Love your vids. Thanks for sharing!
Love the yellow Rubicon. Good info
The good thing about Mrs TR's Jeep is that it looks clean and presentable without being too tall or aggressive looking, Her Accessories need to be functional not Aggressive looking, what is cool to us is not always useful as an every day Driver, Booster cables and a smallish compressor might be useful, Storing the cables under the seat is handy, Such things should be standard kit with most vehicles as a free pass. Well done TR.
If anyone questions putting a fire extinguisher in a vehicle, direct them to coyote works video when his JK went up in đ„.
Point taken but I have to point out that dude had a fire extinguisher which didn't help him much....
Lol
Thanks for all the great tips, tool advice, and heads-up. Here's a Jeep specific hack or tip that might help simplify or round-off finding a convenient place to mount your hand held clip-on mobile communication device, such as the 'BAOFENG' FM Transceiver. It doesn't require any tricky placement, but does require an unobtrusive 'Gear Shift Console Side Tray Organizer'; besides adding two small storage bins; the organizer easily serves as a clip-on device friendly surface.
Just recently became a proud Jeep owner (got an LJ) and found your channel. I really like it! This is a great video exactly what I was looking for thank you!
Welcome to the channel and congrats on the new Jeep!
@@kg2995 You must mean the JL, not LJ?
@@kg2995 sorry my bad, I forgot that the TJ has an LJ edition!
I love your channel brother! Loving the upgrades :)
Thank you!
Cool stuff. I think you should thread the MOLLE straps through the seat, then through the velcro mount piece then through the seat then through the mount etc., though.
love the video. I have a two door JL and it is hard to ding videos lately that walk through things:)
Great first steps for the wifeys, I wouldn't even bother lifting it. Some 35's will fit with no trimming. Do some KM3's and call it a day
Nice videos keep it up! Please post more videos for the 2 doors.. been searching for a tent for a 2 door can find any.. im planning on getting a wrangler soon, been contemplating if i will getvthe 2 door ir the 4 doors..
great video... those lights on your work bench should go on...lol the ones with the yellow smiley face
You take care of your girl and that's so cool bro!
Great video & thank you for you service!! I do have one question about fire extinguishers. I know most people carry ABC fire extinguishers. After doing some searching for different extinguishers and mounting options I came across the H3R Performance HalGuard. It looks like a cleaner option to use versus a dry chemical. I know theyâre more expensive. Whatâs your opinion based on your experience on the trails?
HE HAS APPROVAL!! I was impressed before.. but wife approval?! for everything there is mister card.. but wife approval.. priceless.
I have purchased 4 of MyFAKs because of your vids. The entire Jeep family got one!
Such a nice Jeep. Love that color. Great upgrades to her Jeep.
Looking forward to more :-) All the best to you guys.
Thank you! More to come.
Best approval is the wifeâs approval :) Good video!
Pretty cool mods!
was going to comment on the molle but see im to late lol, great video as always!! AATW hooah!
đșđž So pumped to see what you do with this little 2 door JL!
Lots more to come.
Ha love it!! I allways say nothing wrong with a good upgrade!!! I hope you never have to use some of it but glad you got it!!
Gotta have them just in case, but yes, lets hope we don't need them.
would love a video on the Radio, I have the exact same one but have no idea how to use it.
Thank you for rightfully explaining that fire extinguishers are needed in cars I cannot see the amount of people that would recommend halon extinguishers and although they are good at what they do unfortunately they damage the environment in a very severe way so thank you for recommending a dry powder extinguisher
Ham is great if you take the time to understand what you are doing and its something you need to practice with often, perishable skill if you will. I have a Garmin Inreach Plus and got my moneys worth last weekend as the group we were with on Holcomb Creek Trail experienced a break down causing a huge delay, I was able to text the wife and let her know all was good and keep her updated. All with no cell service. I have a mobile and handheld ham units in my jeep but in that case was of no use to reach her. Not sure if youre familiar but the Inreach also has an SOS button if the SHTF. A plus to the Inreach is I can bluetooth the gps coordinates to my ipad mini with Gaia.
Great ideas Brad !Should have jl in Australia in April .
Man that is a beautiful JL....
Great video, thank you!
Thank you!
Love my 67 Designs rail system. Expensive but worth it! I didnât drop the window during install.
Tom Hollisjr what locks in the balls in the rails??
There is an Allen bolt at the top of the ball that you tighten down to set it in place.
I would put the fire extinguishers near passenger feet if there is a fire you have to do a lot of running to the back
Great ideas, my question is with the hot summer days and windows closed. Would fire extinguisher and first kit liquids or gel would melt or explode inside the vehicle
Congratulations For The 5 New Installations In Your Wife's Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon đ Brad You're Really A Caring Husband
đâ€đšđ©â€đ
You Care So Much About Her Safety .
JEEP FOREVER đOIIIIIIIOđâ€đđđ
Simple but efficient ! A what Ă Nice color đ
She seemed thrilled.
I wouldnât have put the seat belt cutter in a console that could be locked. Since itâs push button, finding that key after a wreck could be impossible.
Thinking about getting the 67 mounting system. Is there an update regarding how well it held with just the adhesive and two screws? Or did you end up having to use the additional 4 screws to keep secure? Thank you in advance for any answer.
Good ideasđ
Been thinking about going vector/67 designs for the dash. Went a cheaper route but now thinking about going full dash mount. What are your thoughts on the full width rail versus the one that just fits in the center dash spot.
She did not look too pleased.
Glad you got the ok. lol great idea to put in my ride thanks for the video
Thank you!
I really like that phone mount
New subscriber here. I own a very nice 99 TJ, but it is a lil small for the growing family. We are on the hunt for a 2012 and up JKU Rubicon. With a car seat we just need more room. Our youngest daughter is almost 2 and she loves riding in the Jeep, she has a grin ear to ear. Iâm a man who thinks family should be involved every step of the way and I want them to enjoy what I love as well, and they do.... Thank God, lol. Makes buying parts a little easier when the wife approves. Thatâs why I subscribed because your channel is respectful, Informative, and most of all itâs clean of profanity. Thank you. Your JKU build has given me lots of great ideas and I look forward to more videos. Iâm also thinking of learning how to do video uploads and video my next build when we get our Rubicon, hopefully in a few more months. We are from Iowa and winter doesnât make shopping for a vehicle very fun. Keep up the good work and take care.
Thank you and welcome to the channel!
Love your channel man! Inspired me to start my own. Big fan, keep up the great work!
Project offroad Totally agree!
One of my favorite!
Right on!
TrailRecon Thanks Man!
Project offroad seems like everyone has a CZcams channel these days đ
I believe that 'Coyote Works' would give 10 stars outta 5 about having a fire extinguisher onboard.
Very informative videođ
Thank you!
Awesome update on the 2dr! Definitely some helpful products. Hoping to someday have my youtube channel on the same level as yours đ
Great video, but I disagree with the yellow fire extinguisher pouch.
The yellow blends in with the Jeep.
Show the red as you do with the first aid kit.
It could be a passerby that needs to see it right away to help out in an emergency, same as the first aid kit.
Kind of off topic, but thank you for your service to our country. đ As always, a great and informative video.
Thank you!
She is lucky to have you đđœ
What made you choose ABC over Halotron? For the Jeep I have 2x 2.5lb Halotron's and when we camp we also carry a 2.5lb ABC for backup. Halotron takes the place of Halon which has been deprecated by the EPA. Halotron is best for automobile fires, especially for our newer Jeeps that are heavily reliant on electronics. Use and ABC extinguisher and you may "total" your otherwise salvageable Jeep. The classic car crowd has long been a proponent of Halon and now Halotron, as it will not degrade electrical connections. Also, the key to using a fire extinguisher is accessibility. The faster you can get to the fire extinguisher the more likely you will be able to put the fire out. That said, be careful of those Neoprene fire extinguisher holders, they are grabby. The last thing you want is to fight for accessibility to your safety equipment. Great videos and keep up the good work! See you on the trail.
really like all of the videos you do as i check it daily plus the constant modifications... Have you thought about installing a front facing trail camera either on bumper or high on front grill? this is something i would be curious about as i see many threads on these topics but trying to add it directly to 8.4 system i see you have to use something like tazer to get cargo to work... I would be interested if you or anyone else has installed one using factory 8.4 or after market system
If you're looking for a solid molle system for your JK, check out grey man tacticals ridged molle system. Works great.
Love all your videos Brad⊠keep up the good work. I wanted to ask you about an issue I am having with my 2021 Jeep Willys. I noticed a noise when accelerating past 1,500 rpm and have no idea what it is. I would appreciate your expert opinionâŠ
Any thoughts on bumpers for it? The AEV stubby front looks wicked
Hoping to see some upgrade ideas, got personalization.
Your ham radio needs a power cord. Unless you want to take it out every month or so to charge it. But you can have a cord and put it in the center box. Just take it out and put it in the power supply. It will work at any time. I have been a ham for over 12 years. I installed the Yeasu. I did get it out when I sold the jeep. Will reinstall when I get a new one.
Hey,jeep is looking goodđđ
I like all you did on "HER" Jeep. Except the Fire Extinguisher....I wish you had it closer to her to reach in case Something Happened and she need's it and can't get out of her seat. I'm Glad you did add Velcro to the seat belt knife in this Jeep
.
Brad, a Navy boy, eh? I thought so. Me too, but way before your time. Vietnam vet, '67-'71.
Thank you for your service!!
Matching Stinguisher, Matching Biofeng, Men are more fashion oriented than women, but the medic Kit is too awesome!
