Thank you, OG. You are the man! 90 % of so-called “experts” would recommend dark brown wing tips if you could only afford one pair of dress shoes. IMO, black has to be first for the reasons you’ve given: weddings, funerals and interviews. You might want to consider a plain derby like the Allen Edmonds kenilworth, as an example, rather than an Oxford. Derbys are a little easier to dress down than oxfords, while still looking good with a suit for formal occasions. Probably 99% of men could not explain the difference between an Oxford and a derby, in any event.

Jeff, good work as usual! You should do a video on finding black dress shoes that have a pop of style yet still professional. It hard to find black dress shoes with detail that pops because of the color, IMO. I had luck in the past with To Boot New York Duke and Mezlan Fuller in black.

O.G. Good looks you pulled it off easy. However I always find it so damn hard to pair up the black oxford and they sit covered in my closet for that formal occasion. I find it easier to rock a pair of suede black brogues with the smart casual look. I guess I have a fondness for suede shoes and boots they are just so much easier pull off for that smart casual look.

Love your videos brother. Good to see a person of color in a style advisory role. I would like to offer the suggestion that you check out the proper pronunciation of "versatile". It isn't versatile like floor "tile". It's like the group Jethro Tull(that's the only example I could think of). Since you are always on point, I know you would want to be on point in your verbal presentation as well. Keep up the good work. You are valuable.

what is the diffarence between brogues shoes with oxfords and derbys ?
Oxfords have closed laceing, derbys have open laceing, either can be brogues which have the little hole decorations punched usually in lines on the shoe.

Hello Jeff, Actually, I think it should be the *brown* oxford (or at least the brown dress shoes). I think brown is much more versatile than black, especially in this day and age. Salute!

Is anyone rocking a crease in jeans anymore I’ve been seeing black oxfords or sued derby’s worn with rusted jeans with hole threads in the knees I must have atleast a minor crease in my jeans with derby’s or loafers
