I never get it why Chevrolet made their trim levels so confusing.
Not really confusing, but it helps people get their food in the Camaro door even if they aren’t able to afford the more expensive end of the trims, also give you more options when buying
Im literally on a scavenger hunt for information on the camaro trim level and i can confirm it is confusing compared to the charger straight foward sxt V6, rt 5.7 hemi v8 ,then scatpack 6.2 392 v8 , and last HELLCAT banger
good, detailed, efficient video.
Thank you and glad you liked it
I don't usually sub but trim videos hard to find and you my friend are a saviour

Classic American sports car!

I dream of getting a Camaro. I’m working hard for it.
Thoughts become things
Me too. Increased 401k and plan on taking a 8000 loan for downpayment next Spring. Want a 2022 and up SS. With low miles. Black! Used to have a Firebird 1998 back in 2005 but sold it in 2009 when wife was using it for work and had sex with co workers in it. I miss the look and I feel like Im ready to get a sports car again. No lending it to no one this time.
I'm less than a month away. Bern a journey 😊
I'm looking at a 2Lt spec v6.. would love the V8 but the V6 is already plenty of power for regular roads and I don't plan on taking it to the track. Also more comfort features for less , cheaper gas and insurance , overall a better daily. Great video 👍
i will ridicule your car if I ever see it
@@klnvv can't stand that mindset
@@blackice7408 "I'm looking for a sportscar, but I want the one that's less fun because I care about fuel economy and insurance"
Yeah, no. At that point why even bother with a Camaro. There are way better, more practical options.
@@jeansmith7482 the v6 is good. 0-60 in about 5 secs, relatively good fuel economy, can option it with the 6 speed manual or tye 10 speed and/or with the 1le track package. U can still get the v8 and average about 22 mpg or higher on the freeway. So u can get the camaro as a sorts/muscle car with good fuel economy and good insurance
@@blackice7408 How do you justify that over let's say a WRX, which is more practical and slightly quicker for the same price? Or the plethora of pre-owned options that just make way more sense? You can pick up a C6 Corvette or C5 Z06 for that price, not to mention a thousand other more unique, better performing, or more comfortable vehicles
I have a 2017 1LT Camaro and it’s a great car for a 4cyl ! Going to upgrade soon to a 2ss. Fantastic cars
I really like the 4cyl models!
That’s gay af bro. 4 cylinder…
@@Eric-qx7fg :,(
@@LandoTrades09 you might as well have delayed gratification and waited to save more for the better variant lol… what a waste of money.
@@Eric-qx7fg eh not really. I bought it 3 years ago used with very low miles. Got a good price for it. I used it as my daily and actually enjoy driving it. My local dealer is offering basically more for what I paid. driving this car gave me a good idea if I would want to get the v8 or not
Thank you
Thank you for watching
Thinking of getting a gen 5 Camaro, currently looking at the RS,1LT and the SS. Are there any noticeable differences in the performance other than the engines? would love some feedback and help.
My favorite (for 2022 / 2023) would be a black V6 Coupe Manual, 3LT, Premium (NAV) infotainment, NPP / Dual Mode Exhaust, red interior + red knee pads, suede wheel / stick, black bowties... and just the 18" wheels and no spoiler (no RS package or 20" wheel add-ons... also no sunroof)... only thing I would change after break-in is to equip 245/40-18 front and 245/45-18 rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, and the front indicator vinyl covers.
It's too bad a) you can't find em like this used or new and b) the 2024s are up a shocking $4K.
very informative helped me decide

@@BuildYourOwn do u have mustang or toyota camry trim levels explained ?
@@marmarcr7683 I do have trim level videos on the Mustang and Camry. See the links below. I gave you the link to my 2023 Camry video, but I have two more trim level videos from 2022, the hybrid and gas models are split into two different videos. For 2023, I only did the Hybrid trims.

@BuildYourOwn thank u very much I'm a sub 💯
@@marmarcr7683 Thank you so much!
All trim levels should come standard with blindspot monitor imo. The 3lt seems to be most bang for buck if you dont want v8 interested to see where the wireless charging pad is.
Sadly the wireless charger on the 3LT, 2SS and the ZL1’s is really useless. Almost all phones these days are so large, it doesn’t even fit in the wireless charger. In my 2SS, i can’t use it due to my phone size.
Almost all Camaros in the market are currently with an RS package. Shame that the most famous package isn't even discussed in this video.
fr i got a 4cyl RS and wonder what the RS package gives it
Quick question,I ordered 2ss non 1LE.do i able to put wide tire (aftermarket) on it?
I will be getting the Camaro 2SS this year in about 2 months
Nice, what color?
@@BuildYourOwn was gonna get the new rapid blue
@@tristanknight5693 I like that color too
How did it go for you?
Exactly what I needed! Thanks for translating for us peons! Which V8 trim would you recommend as a blank canvas for me to upgrade myself?
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the great reviews....Tomorrow I'm ordering my Camaro 2SS. The Camaro is being discontinued after 2023 according to the Chevy dealer. Shame... FJB
You are very welcome. I thought the Camaro would be going away. That is a shame. I hope you got yours ordered today! Thanks for watching
i have the 3LT camaro and everything is right except for the forward collision warning. i don't think i have that since i have no sensors in my front bumper.. or is the sensor located in the window?
I sincerely thank this program adidaphat
Thank you so much, you are very welcome. I appeciate you watching my video.
Do you know how I can get the v8 with 18inch wheels?
Does the 3lt comes with convertible?
I ordered a 2022 LT1, in Vivid Orange Metallic, 6-speed, Performance exhaust, Tech Package, Forged wheels, strut tower brace, orange front calipers (I'll paint the rears myself..why don't they offer rear painted calipers??), solid rally stripe and custom pedals, coming out to $40,675 with my GM employee price being $37,747. Ordered on Oct. 7.
How long is going to take to deliver after been ordered
He is still waiting on it
Oh shoot you actually got it now!
As a European, I'm starting to think the Camaro is the most sensible pony car / muscle car on the market in 2022. Set-ups for all types of customers, from new 4-cylinder to old-school V8, both n / a and not. But above all it has the right amount of technology to have fun without it becoming invasive, and speaking of driving it has a superior handling and agility than its rivals and at the same level as the European ones. Lots of fun and performance on the track and straight, and convenience on the road. All for a fair price (at least in the US).
I love the Camaro and I think the 2.0-liter is a sweet little motor. I would like to drive a V8 too.
@@BuildYourOwn same
LT1 as of this month March not available in V8 it's been switched with the 1LZ /1SS
I’ve heard some people said 1LZ, what is that?
Any info on how long they take to build if you order one? I'm thinking of ordering a new 2022 Camaro 2SS. Should be priced around 54k. I want to save a bit more so I could put a generous down payment on it but I want the car around April 2022. Most of the Camaros in my area aren't really sold in my state but the neighboring states. What's my best option? Should I put in an order or should I just wait and see what the market does? These used Camaros are almost priced at new cuz of the shortage and stuff.
Literally I went to buy a used 2015 Camaro and it was only 2k less expensive then the base 2022 model so I was like fuck it and ordered a 2022, the Chevy dealer told me it should arrive late January or early February. Obviously I doubt that’s the standard for each location.
Order now or as soon as you can.. I ordered a 2ss convertible in early September and still waiting (19 weeks ago) good luck!
Just found out about the lt1
I still don't understand the RS package.
If only these were the prices in my country..
But you have forgotten to mention the $10k dealership mark up on absolutely everything, our local dealership said no sir' were only ordering them fully loaded at this dealership and because of supply and demand it's $10k over dealership list price, which dealership list price is already over inflated to begin with! I left angry and they just didn't care, I drove over 50 miles to another dealership just to be told their only selling SUV and Pickup trucks... I'll just keep my 2013 challenger RT with 77k on it and GM can kiss my ass 😎
Nothing wrong with keeping that 2013 - here's my build and price of a 2021 challenger T/A 392 Widebody you should like czcams.com/video/a2lxUH6dh6Q/video.html (I'm sure they are marking their cars up too)
So there is no RS V6 camaro anymore? Im just trying to understand all the trims Camaros are confusing😭😭
What's a RS?
If you just like the looks of the new generation Camaro then it doesn't matter which trim you get. All of them pretty much look alike.
No they do not. I have a SS and it looks way more aggressive than the base models
@@JohnnyBravo-ny7uf - ROTFL! Don't mean to hurt your feelings, but all Camaros from 2010 (regardless of trim) and up look aggressive.
@@explorer909 nah it’s a different look from v6 to v8
Does The 1LT Come In Convertible?
Yes it does
Might trade in the mustang gonna get a V8 but don’t know if I should go GT or SS what y’all think ?
I like the 3LT for all its modern features like head up display.
The SS still has the I thini 2018 design, the GT looks way more badass and has better interior too
Maybe the 3LT bro, don't listen to me tho, go for what your gut tells you
Am gonna save up gotta have 1LT am poor but am capable of earning money am going hard for 3 years
I like the 1LT. I just did a build and price, yet I called it LT1 a couple of times lol. Check it out czcams.com/video/Y9n2a0RRK_c/video.html
Lease the car
ordered a 2023 2SS fully loaded, black, in July 2022. Ill do a review omce i get it.
where is RS model?
The RS is a package not a trim level anymore
ALL 6-speed manuals have already gone up in value. These are the last manual transmission V-8 American muscle cars. And don’t give me that crap that the automatic is 2/10 of a second faster on the track you’re not going to track this car. Get the manual 6-speed if you can find one. It’s more fun. With an automatic it drives you with a manual you drive the car.
3 pedals work
I had come watch this y’all got this ford fan confused as hell 😂 !
Don't be confused brother, I did the 2021 Ford Mustang trim levels too! lol czcams.com/video/0fnIJWShDbg/video.html
And I still don’t understand
Not what I paid
Very nice and clear explanation. Im in the market for a sports car to gift my first time driver 18 year old son. I currently have a audi TT waiting on him to come home from Army AIT but after getting slack from friends about the speed and size I'm undecided. I started looking at the new corvette but even the lower trim level is still too damn fast lol. The 4cy camaro sounds like a great choice but Im all for aesthetics . The looks and features very important. What would you recommend for a 18 year old first time driver who signed up to protect our nation. Camaro or corvette? 🇺🇲📡🪂
You're an awesome dad! I think that's great you're going to get your son who is going to be protecting our country a car! I LOVE Corvette's and Camaro's (I was just on Craigslist looking at Camaro), but I also love Volkswagen Group Products (Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen). I have a lifted 94 Chevy truck I've done lots of videos on and an 04 VW Beetle turbo with the 1.8L engine which, depending on the year of TT and trim level, it'd have the same engine. The TT's come with Quattro and 6-spd manuals if you want and up to 225 HP in some trims. As for Camaro, like I said in the video, that 2017 I reviewed and drove around for a while was pretty nice. No leather interior, but super cool and lots of aftermarket parts if that's something your son likes. I also had a 95 vette back in the day. Didn't own that car long enough. I think a Vette is hot, but I think a Camaro or TT would suit him better. And don't worry about what your friends say about the TT, they are hot! I look at those too on Craigslist! Thanks for watching my video!
@@BuildYourOwn wow thanks for your response. The TT is a 2016 with 47k. Theirs a scam going around NYC were folks will report a fender bender to their insurance company and you have no knowledge but it ends up on car fax some how without police report or anything to prove. Once its on carfax they wont even let you know the source of the info. My car is worth 30k but the dealership is taking off 5k because of car fax Im so disappointed . smh.
As a 18 year old the ss trim level on a camaro is a good choice, not crazy fast and look beautiful I'm sure he will love the sport package on it! Just from my perspective these v8s won't exist in the future
My first car was a Volkswagen Rabbit bought in a parking lot for $1000 cash by my dad 😎
Your son is spoiled. Hopefully he appreciates the awesome gift 💪🏽😎
This is awesome. Thanks to your son for his service!
