You know, I'm studying to become a prosecutor and someday a judge, so that was especially funny to me.
Reality is worse though. One youtuber got repeatedly punched in the head by a guy yelling "I'll kill you", and the police just said "Oh the guy is from a different state? Well, that is too much effort to work with, case closed.". Luckily the youtuber sued the guy and is currently in a legal battle over it. So at least individuals can go for people who punch others, but the police won't because it is really not a big crime. Why bother judges with harmless things like attempt at murder?
