I just bought this bike a couple months ago. I've been a R6 and R1 guy, but not so much after the cross-plane. I'm not racing this thing, i put around on the street and have fun. I agree with all these points in the video and its well laid out, and due to supply chain issues in the US, i took a chance and went with this bike versus a zx10. I did not like how restricted the bike came from the factory and i was initially a little disappointed. I recently had the ECU flashed, and I now i am thoroughly impressed, this thing flies! My first new Honda Civic 1987. 350,000 trouble free miles the only reason I traded it in was I was tired of looking at it. It is cheaper than the 10R by around $1600 with similar features, electronics package, rider aids etc. It is cheaper than the R1 by a $1000, again similar electronics package. The only bike that is clearly cheaper than the Honda is the GSXR. But then the suspension on the GSXR is not something that I would swear by. Its also good they have 2 levels in the Liter class now, double R and triple R. They can focus on what's important now.
Even most of the time in the past decade, I noticed the CBR 1000 (RR or not in its name) was understated yet brilliant in isolation. Often with meaty midrange, well sorted suspension, and a balanced approach to everything.
