Malcolm had his escape route planned in case of any trouble it seems because he knew exactly where to go. He wouldn't run to a bathroom knowing the only way out was through that window he probably unlocked himself.

Denzel and Delroy, masterful, subtle, in a scene burning with intensity. The costumes, the set decoration, oh man, man, man. I could go on forever about this scene. Just...............EPIC.

This song was a remake of the Billie Holiday classic, and SHOULD have been on the soundtrack without any copyright infringement trouble. But, what the hell happened? Did the publisher step in and nix having their remase song not be included on the soundtrack without further financial considerations? Song rights in films are a GIANT pain in the ass. How did a movie like American Graffiti EVER get made?

Through this whole movie 🎥, I never saw Denzel, I saw Malcom X , I knew Denzel Washington was playing the part of Malcom X, but its either one or two things that happen, either the spirit of Malcom X came upon this man, or he is simply put a damn good Actor- either way- you see Malcom X through him and in him.. One of Spike Lee, best film 🎥 projects- Damn good movie 🎥 Totally 💯 engrossed in the movie 🎥 and Mr. X’s Life as a whole.
You left out the best part of that particular scene when he said, like most of us I was trap & the few other lessons said about brothers that could've of probed space, cared cancer West Indian Archie might been a mathematical genius & some other life lessons we need too learn from.
Just a suggestion, while filming something off of a tv screen, turn off all of the lights in the room. It makes for a better picture. There's no reflection on the screen then.
