I have been using Vw for 7 years .Jetta at and polo gt tsi .I had abs sensor failure only twice .do not upsize your tyre .also don’t use any additional electrical modification like lights or music system
If you do under body water wash ( on ramp ) the sensors will be spoiled in any German car's and if you want to fix any extra fittings electrical accessories you should be careful... Otherwise these car are good only.....

abs sensor ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ പോകുന്നത് sensor ന്റ കുഴപ്പം കൊണ്ടാവണമെന്നില്ല. സർക്യൂട്ടിൽ വരുന്ന വോൾട്ടേജ് പ്രശ്നം കൊണ്ടാവാം. ചിലപ്പോൾ wheel hub ലെ abs ring ന്റ കുഴപ്പം കൊണ്ടാവാം. ചിലപ്പോൾ ചെളി, തുരുമ്പ് എന്നിവ അടിഞ്ഞത് കൊണ്ടാവും. ഒന്ന് ക്ലീൻ ചെയ്താൽ മതിയാകും. ഇതൊക്കെ നമുക്ക് തന്നെ ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്. നമ്മുടെ അറിവില്ലായ്മയെയാണ് പലരും ചുഷണം ചെയ്യുന്നത്. authorised service centre ൽ പോലും ഇതിനെ കുറിച്ച് യാതൊരു ധാരണയും ഇല്ലാത്ത apprentice പിള്ളേരാണ് വണ്ടി പണിയുന്നത്. ഞാൻ 2011 polo 1.2 MPI petrol used ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഒരു തവണ മാത്രമാണ് authorised service centreൽ സർവ്വീസ് ചെയ്തത്. പിന്നീട് എല്ലാ routine service ഉം ഞാൻ തന്നെ സ്വയം ചെയ്യുകയാണ്. നമ്മുടെ വണ്ടി നമ്മെക്കാളും നന്നായി മറ്റാർക്കും സർവ്വീസ് ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയില്ലല്ലോ! ലോകോത്തര നിലവാരമുള്ള volswagen എന്ന ബ്രാൻഡ് സർവ്വീസ് ചെയ്യാനുള്ള അറിവും പ്രാപ്തിയും പല സർവ്വീസ് സെന്റനും ഇല്ല. ഒരാൾക്ക് സ്ഥിരമായി തലവേദന വരുന്നുവെന്ന് കരുതുക. അത് തലയുടെ കുഴപ്പം കൊണ്ടാവണമെന്നില്ല. അതിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ കാരണം കണ്ടെത്താതെ തല മാറ്റി വെക്കാനാണ് നമ്മുടെ service centre കൾ നിർദ്ദേശിക്കുക. അതാണ് അവർക്ക് എളുപ്പവും ലാഭവും.

Go for polo if you can afford it
Got my polo 1.5 TDI, 2011 model, 80k driven. Fed up and going to sell it off. Jus after one year, starting motor had to be changed, twice all the ABS sensors were changed, AC compressor damaged, fuel clips and fuel hose broken and changed, all four shock absorbers changed. Already spent more than 2 lacs as maintenance, no other option other than selling now.
Advice for New potential buyers, dont go behind build quality alone. Peace of mind is what we expect out of a car. The skoda rapid i own which is 6 years old, is also costly to maintain and giving similar ABS issues.

ABS സെൻസർ 2 വർഷം റീപ്ലേസ്‌മെന്റ് വാറന്റി ഉണ്ട്. 5 കൊല്ലം 12 എണ്ണം എന്നത് കൂടുതൽ ആണ്. വാറന്റി AVAIL ചെയ്താൽ മതി.
ഒരു sadaranakaran വണ്ടി എടുക്കുമ്പോൾ വിചാരിക്കുന്നത് 6&7 വർഷം ഒരു പണി ഒന്നും വരാതെ odekam എന്നാണ്, അതി ഇടയിൽ ഇതുപോലുള്ള പണി വരുമ്പോൾ മടുക്കും സത്യത്തിൽ അതാണ് ഞാൻ maruthi car swift വാങ്ങിയത് , കുറച്ചു കാലത്തേക്ക് velya പണി ഒന്നും വരില്ല ഇന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു
Problem is not with Abs sensor but with abs sensor ring. The ring is mounted on the hub and the sensor is located very close it it... Over time with heat and humidity the ring rusts and warps and this starts to rub on the ABS sensor... Replacing the sensor is temporary soln as the new one will also be rubbed upon and worn by the rusted ring..
I guess soln will be to keep the hub clean and careful spraying of anti rust.. Dont know.
Problem is more in Kerala because of high humidity.. Especially with people who live near the coast, where there's saline air

Skoda rapid DSG, almost 3 years, 3 times got replaced, now 4 th turn and skoda has no nearby showrooms as car still has warranty. I don’t think any solution possible if VW group doesn’t act. I asked all these doubts, why not happening to other brands, why it repeatedly goes off, for me a sensor changed in may went off in August! Now running on faulty sensor al low speed, as no service center available at nearest area. Car is good to drive,but this ridiculous issue kills all charm.

Sir as u said towards the end of ur video its an awesome car. Not jus polo any VW car.. Abs sensor cud be damaged if ur car is flood effected or not being used for frequently (this is what I know). As u said if one of abs sensors is damaged u will have to replace all four. Also recommend u to do VW company service and go for original parts for longer and better life n performance.

@@aaronjaggan no bro its the problem with abs sensor rings which are mounted on the wheel hub... They rust easily and since the sensor and ring are located so close the rusted and warped rings rub along the sensor and this causes the sensor to fail...
As a failproof, do not apply heavy pressure wash over the wheel hub.. And carefully apply antirust spray (wd40) such that it doesn't interfere with the brakes
Me too facing the same problem with my VW Polo. What you said is correct. Not understanding why the company is ignoring the customers problem. May be it a business trick... Any way I will no more propose a VW.....
It is better to change censors in showroom that is of good quality. Aftermarket censors are low cost bou do not last. I have three vw cars, passat, vento and polo. All are showroom services. When you service outside vw cars will not go ahead.

Honda and Toyota petrol cars with naturally aspirated engines easily last for 15-20 years. They are reliable anyday compared to VV/Skoda petrol cars with turbo-charged engines (Polo, Vento, Kushaq, Rapid etc).
In VV/Skoda cars after 6-7 years injectors blow out, engine develops other issues. Also, problems including 'damaged sensors' are very common in VV/Skoda cars. The warranty period will be over by then. You'll have to spend huge amounts for injectors, sensors etc. These issues will only get worse and you will be forced to sell the vehicle for good. I have many friends facing such issues. These cars are not build to last.
Vast majority of the people who buy cars in India belong to the middle class. They won't be able to buy new cars every 5-6 years. Most of them will want to use the cars for minimum 14-15 years.

I changed my ABS sensors several times. Still displaying in my dashboard. Told this to the authorised workshop, they pretend it's not a big issue. So now I pretend I don't see the display in the dashboard and leave it as it is. No more fixing it. Anyways, there are no other issues with the car.
I have 2016 model polo taken from phoenix kannur showroom, having same problem, still not solved every 6 month spending 20000 rupees.

I used to love polo from the very beginning itself, regardless the sensor issue polo is simply marvelous, I js took one used polo recently with 30k kms done and my father is using since I'm in Oman and the same issue of abs has occurred to my car an I was totally unknown of this fact. And i have to wait for it.. all this time i have to drive without ABS and without power steering.. and faulty speedo meter. Last time my sensor was damaged in May. I got it replaced only in October from showroom

ATE genuine VW Sensor available @ German cart Calicut @ Rs. 750/- per piece(Rs.3000+shipping) if you order 4 together ( other wise 900+shipping per piece). I recently ordered and changed and its working fine. Try to avoid washing under wheel arches, can reduce the issue.
Used a Polo MPI for more than 9 years. Changed 7 sensors. Now sold the car and waiting to buy a new VW/Skoda in 2021. Periodic/ scheduled maintenance is to be done on time. And read the owner' manual carefully before start using the car, I will help you avoid a lot of issues.

since you have oversize tyres, check your wheel bearings.. if they r gone, ABS sensor warning will pop up.. wheel bearing replacement can be a permanent fix

My Volkswagen ameo abs sensor had same issues.. luckily I had extended warranty they changed it.. all together I changed 4 sensors under warranty till now. Apart from that no issues at all .. My usage is 3.5 years and 30000 kms everything else works fine .. BUT THIS ABs sensor IS such a bad issue.. service centre told me they changed all 4 sensors and it will be alright..

I have a Polo GT TDI (1.6l). I have already changed ABS sensors 6 times. and only 1 time they've changed it under warranty (free of cost). Rest all times i've paid from my pocket. Really frustrated with this ABS thing. Rest the car is awesome, but this is really a headache and you never know when it can fail. :(

Maruti Brezza is a good choice! 👍 Brezza, SCross and Ignis are the safer cars in the Maruti lineup. Toyota and Honda cars are also highly reliable and long-lasting.
VV/Skoda cars are unreliable in the long run if you plan to keep the vehicles for 15-16 years. Injector issue, sensor issue, steering column issue, engine issues. These issues continue to pop up, especially after 6-7 years and by then warranty will be over. You'll have to spend huge amounts to maintain the vehicle.
We had a Skoda rapid 2016 model which came with 1.5 engine. After completing 5 and half years one abs sensor failed. Then after reaching showroom i understood that it was a common fault, for us it went off for the first time because car was in Bangalore. Next month itself got rid of the vehicle . The next owner faced same issue but with another sensor. He said brakes failed and automatic gears were not upshifting as a safety program of car. Luckily we had extended warranty till 6th year...now it can be availed upto 8 years....
I never had these issues had used Skoda Octavia From 2005 to 2017..after that bought Skoda rapid .. but never had any issues

Why superb German technology can't adress these minor problems. Already polo interior's are cramped but comfortable as they are built by Europeans.
Bro..I think that this problem is happening from ECU of the car which gives signals to the ABS unit as per the wheel spin which already had been installed in ECU as per the car stock tyre specifications. May be there is chances for making difference in this configuration while upsizing car tyre and leads to ABS sensor failures,other issues in some vehicles. Please check with some body using stock tyre in polo car ; facing any such issues or not...

അത് ABS പൊയിട്ട് ഇടിച്ചതായിരിക്കും. Safety എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഇടിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള കാര്യമല്ല. ഇടിക്കാതെ നോക്കണ്ട കാര്യം കൂടിയാണ്. വഴിയിൽ നടന്നു പോകുന്നവരുടെ safety കൂടെ നോക്കണം.

I am also facing same problem.. .there is no any sort of guard for ABS in polo ..I also have skoda superb.. haven't faced any ABS sensor probelm in that (I believe they got some kind of protection guard in that).. But In heavy rain/water splash there are high chances ABS in polo might get faulty.. So brother, Solution onne ullu... Don't use during RAIN!!!.. I am following this rule from last year and till now its working.. Hope it help you too.. Thanks

I have a 2019 Polo , facing the same issue, changed a sensor 2 months back and another one failed last week. Now braking is not proper , speedometer is faulty, gear shift has issue.
Change in warrenty.... Abs sensoer warrrenty ഉണ്ട്..
At last all warning lights will glow. Throttle response will be unven. Power steering will be shut down.

@@Intakebooster so it's like this..may be once the warranty period is over..the fuel injector starts to fail. Original skoda/Volkswagen fuel injector costs around 25K..if them fail you can start expecting others also to fail. Mine is 2012 model and already 3 of them failed. ..
@@janko-jaru Fuel injector issue mainly related to quality of fuel. Try using BPCL fuel, especially BPCL direct outlet fuel pump. Reliance fuel also very good . I also faced injector failure when I used village area Indian oil, HP fuel pumps. after that i stop using and changed to good fuel stations. You can use LIQUI MOLY Diesel Purge /Additive for injector cleaning. After my injector failure in 2013 then I start following these.. until now no any injector issues
